  1. Hubby spend a few hours trying all different kinds of instructions and finally found a place when he could put his phone number in and get a call-back. The call was immediate and after a 10 minute hold the nice lady in India just gave him a code and made it work. yeesh, two days for a 30 second phone conversation to fix it. So back in business and now I will get my PSP workspaces up and running as we had done (a couple months ago) all new installs on all the programs to have a nice clean start. Although I lost all the saved emails it's really a blessing in disguise. I get to start all over with email and keep the inbox to a manageable number.
  2. Nicely done Bonnie. Your color choices are so perfect for the photos, which are GORGEOUS!
  3. I love the dual monitors. I have them now too. You were the one that kind of got me thinking about them. Hubby always used them for work, but at the time wasn't working from home, so I didnt understand the use of them. But now I think they are great. I'm still learning and lose my little arrow on the screen sometimes.
  4. I wish I had learned too. I am very lucky. It's a windows issue. Originally with the new build it was installed on one HD on a certain motherboard. But said motherboard didn't take 2 of the types of HD's hubby wanted to use, so install onto brand new motherboard that supports 2 of that kind. then put the hard drive back in and now Windows installs but cant activate because it thinks it's now on two motherboards. so, he put that test computer back together un-installed it on the 1st motherboard. still wont. tried every kind of activation, also have to get a MS account (YUK), still wont. Followed every instruction they had on hardware changes and in the phone activation instructions is said if it wont activate it will send you to a person to talk to....but it just hangs up after that. Do you know how hard it is to even find a phone number to call. So, while I now can work, there is no customizing I can do, as in it goes to sleep and any "saved" email folders are gone. bummer. Having said that, now my busy inbox is way empty as it only keeps the last 5 days. Looks like we will have to buy yet a second activation even though we have no need for it. Hubby also does about 4 hours+ of work to get ready for the tomorrows work. So, kinda of a lost day. looking forward to watching the masterclass so I can forget about this computer crap for an hour.
  5. I hope not either. Microsoft issue with new build. I dont usually have anything saved on my laptop or work on it anymore. I have separate hard drives for data, there is 3 hard drives in my computer. one is the boot drive with the programs, one is data and my scrapbooking stuff and other is pictures only. And I'm now saving PSPimage files there in the pictures drive as a backup spot. There is an external drive to back up data and pictures but it's convoluted to do it, so that's the next on the list to address. To make it easier for me to do. Actually, hubby is eventually going to set it up so it automatically adds new stuff. I'm a total freak about losing my photo's and layouts. So it's high on MY priority list, but perhaps not so much on his. I am trying to at least get important stuff in two locations (on different drives). I want to be doing what you are doing in some way and at least he recognizes that's what I want. So much to do, and sometimes priorities get shoved down the list. I wish i was much better and more independent in my knowledge and use of computers. At least he is working hard at trying the solve the issue. Microsoft is weird about security. even with an account and password, every single thing you want to do requires yet another secret code you get by email. You even have to download an app to get to the "get help" section to find a phone number.
  6. I'm hoping to get to this, it's my favorite of the challenges, but my computer is in pieces right now. I might try on my laptop but have very few photos on here.
  7. What a beautiful yard. those trees must be stunning in the spring-fall.
  8. Oh nooooo, you just added another cool word.....inexpressible. I know, have I been living in a cave all my life. But I love ineffable the best.
  9. The waxwings here do that too. We have a mountain ash tree that has berries they like. We have had to pick them up off the ground and put them up high away from the neighbours cats. And sadly we've had some dead ones from window strikes after getting drunk. We had to put bird strings on the outside of the window. I have Acopian bird Savers - I used the instructions from the website to make my own and put them on 5 of the windows that any bird has struck. Only two strikes in the last 5 years (that we know of).
  10. Oh how funny, I would have expected the opposite.
  11. Amazon Prime is where we watched. It was on regular cable for about 2 shows then it dissappeared. We cancelled Netflix and are trying Amazon Prime for awhile.
  12. Hubby and I really enjoyed this show too. David Tennant was my favorite Doctor (Doctor Who)
  13. Then I hung out at work, mostly talking around the water cooler - talking about how warm it was and there was no snow yet. that's me at the bottom, I wore clothes to work, cause I'm thoughtful like that. Then I ate too many Halloween candies and got sick. All because the weather was warmer than usual. Otherwise I'd be at home snug like a bug in a rug.
  14. Nice and dry here. A little chilly. First my day started with a trip the doctors. Here I am being examined. Then I just kinda hung around outside, since it was pretty warm out.
  15. it's just the best word. Thank you. Where were you when I was in school? I would have been much smarter than I am now.
  16. oooooh, I like that word..."ineffable". I dont know what it means, but I like it. 😁
  17. Spectacular Corrie. Lots of techniques and I love the word art type quote. Your photo is beautiful. Such an interesting mushroom.
  18. I love all the stories everyone posted about Halloween. they are interesting, particularly the parts where you talk about your childhood and your parents. Interesting to read that Christmas got hijacked from the Pagans. Does anyone know what the Pagan holiday would have been called?
  19. hahaha. Better to be known for Halloween than our crazy politics wouldnt you say? My neighbour goes all out. And i get to participate this year, it's a day I'm home early enough to hand out some goodies. I'll probably abandon the door to go hang with them.
  20. I'm in too. Think I'll do more cameras like I did for the magazine workshop. thankfully there's time to take some pictures before the workshop.
