  1. Thanks for your generosity, Annie. You are just whipping through those tutorials, aren't you? :) Your layouts are perfect for the photos you picked or is it the other way around? LOL

Dawn, your friend will be thrilled when she/he receives it. I'm a sucker for just about anything vintage. I love how you incorporated so many different elements/techniques in this project.

  2. When I first watched this tutorial, I thought it was awesome to be able to add a vignette effect to a selection. (Now I realize you can add any effect to a selection.) I took a pic I had previously downloaded from a wallpaper site and played with it. I liked the idea of a light vignette for this pic. Added a few poinsettias from a tube, lowered the opacity of them, and created a simple frame. I didn't want the font to overshadow that sweet face. Oddly enough the name of it is Summery. :)

I can't wait to see what the other campus members come up with.

  3. Thanks for all the encouraging words, ladies. <3

Sheila, those flowers are gorgeous. I've never seen a dog rose; it's so pretty. Great job.

Wow, Annie. That sounds like it was a lot of work. I'm impressed with how you knew what you wanted and figured out how to get the result. If you don't mind, may I save your pic with the directions you wrote? I would love to try something like that one day.

I always learn so much from the projects everyone posts.

  4. I had some fun making a birthday card yesterday for one of the members of my gaming group. First I rotated the main yellow flowered paper on image 1 by 90 degrees. On image 2, I used a copy of the original paper and first applied a kaleidoscope effect, then a seamless tiling effect. I copied it to image 1 and moved the layer down. Going back to image 2, I selected and resized it so I could use Cassel's Bow9 script on it. I just loved the way the bow came out. The font is a cute one called StitchCross that I picked up for free somewhere along the line. (Added various borders with different effects, too, obviously.)

I hope to have the time to get back to the Campus's tutorials soon.

  5. Happy to see you back, Dawn. Your layout is beautiful. I love how you faded the colors on the background pic to further highlight the three in the middle. I haven't gotten to the Chrome tutorial yet, but I love the effect.

Annie, you made a lovely tribute to your grandmother's garden. Amazing how smell can trigger our memories. I really like how the title looks. Do you mind sharing how you made it?

  6. Not the best thing anyone has ever done, but I forgot about my friend's bday and had to do this quickly. It's the first time I've tried anything like this. I added texture to the dark purple layer. Then using what I learned in Lab 5-11, I scalloped the edges and then did the cutouts with the eraser tool using the same technique of using a guide. The embellishments are from the font that I used, Paladise Script and Paladise Bonus. My original idea was to do something like Cassel's card and envelope sample, but I couldn't figure out how to "grunge up" the paper. I used it for inspiration in a different way.

  7. I found a great use for Cass's Candies Quick Page. As you can see, my gaming group's theme was Pop Sugar. I replaced "Chocolate" with the theme. Then I placed the candy heart over the crocheted doily embellishment that was originally there. I tried to match the font that Cassel had used and ended up picking Pacifico. Wish I knew how she got her text to look so yummy. I used some inner beveling and some embossing.
