Love your yard!

Glad to hear you're starting to feel better. Hope to see you back here soon.

I = Ihop Who doesn't love pancakes?

I worked at McDonald's when I was a kid so I have eaten plenty of their food! I don't, as a rule, eat at fast food chains anymore, but I like Wendy's chicken sandwiches and love their Frosty.

I thought I was the only one to dip my fries in mayo!

The game seems to be a couple of days behind. lol Today I used the Central Park Halloween Flotilla for inspiration. There are tons of layers.

OMG, I love them both. Did you know they are very close friends? Where do you watch Good Omens? I already watched Season 2 during the summer on Amazon.
-
Last Halloween theme from my game for 2023 (I hope). All I did was add outer glows and play with the opacity of each layer.

It's about 40 F at 6:30 a.m. and raining with a freeze warning here on Long Island, NY. It gets really hot in my room when the heat is on so I keep my window open. I'm currently wearing fuzzy socks and a sweater, but for me, it's better than being hot.

LOL I had to look it up.

I found the original post and my explanation in a comment: I started with one umbrella. Duplicated it and mirrored it vertically. Duplicated twice more and free-rotated each of those. Then I merged all four to a new layer and rotated that one 45 degrees. Merged all eight of the umbrellas. Duplicated that layer and rotated it 22.5 degrees. I enlarged the bottom layer a little bit (don't remember how much). Hence, a total of 16 umbrellas, eight on each layer. Technically one umbrella LOL. ❤ ... Believe it or not, the most frustrating part for me was trying to get the puddle the way I wanted it.

I think the puddle took me more time and gave me more frustration than any part of it!

I take it. The next word is WITCH. I did this several years ago for another group's Umbrella challenge. I hope it qualifies for RAIN. 🙂

This is just adorable. I think I'm in love with Jodi. ❤️

@Sue Thomas and @Susan Ewart I'm lucky right now to live in a small town on Long Island just outside of NYC. It's pretty quiet around here other than the alarm from the fire station around the block (all volunteers out here so when they need the firefighters, the alarm is loud). I love listening to the birds in the morning, especially in the spring when the babies are chirping for breakfast. Even when a train from the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) passes by, I only hear the whistle which makes me feel like I'm out in the country. Nothing I can do about the light pollution, though. When I lived upstate, we could easily drive over to Lake Ontario and the sky was beautiful. On a clear day, we could see Canada. I even saw the northern lights one night.

What a sweet story, @Gerry Landreth.

I grew up in Brooklyn, went to school in a small college town upstate, and then lived in Rochester, NY for a while. I moved back downstate to Long Island to be near my family. While the convenience in the city or the suburbs is great, I've often longed to live a quiet life on a farm. At the very least I could see the sky without all the bright lights hiding it.
