Thanks, Corrie. Sometimes I just go through the scripts list and try them out on the project I've selected. That's how I came up with using the script for this one.

There's no time limit, Sharon. If you ever find the time, you can always give it another shot. By the way, I've been sticking with 2022 because there seem to be too many glitches in 2023

I'm so exhausted after doing these. I had to keep deleting, redoing, and re-saving my image files and shape files. I think I understand the process now; we'll see when I do Day 3. LOL I have a couple of labels for you, a label that ended up being a hat (?), and a pair of lips. I'm going to get some sleep now.

We all have to start somewhere, Marvin. If you could see the things I produced when I was a beginner, you would feel much better. Just keep it up and you'll get there. BTW, I think the shapes you created are just fine. Workshops are for learning. ?

I thought the PhotoBlocks script would go well with the theme; it's the top layer. The original artwork (before all the blocks) is by Michael Lang. I added some Gaussian Blur to the original layer, lowered the opacity a lot, and put a light blue layer under it. The font is Microsoft Tai Le.

I use whatever size Carol is using in the workshops/classes. When I'm making my own layouts I usually use 3000 x 2000 since I'm always posting them on FB. I think the default settings are 10 x 10 for the grid, but you can change it if necessary. Go to View: Grid, Guide & Snap Properties. You can change your default settings, but I always change the settings for the current image.

Day 2: Creating a vector rectangle with Show Nodes allows you to move a node to get rounded corners. MIND BLOWN! I hope I remember this because it will certainly come in handy.

I usually only use guides, but I would have had to create too many. That's why the grid came in handy. Once you get used to it, you'll love it. OCD can be a curse or a helping hand...sometimes both at the same time. lol

Here are mine for Day 1. As I commented earlier, I use both guides and grids to get my vectors symmetrical. I love all the different results I'm seeing. You are all always an inspiration to me.

I not only used guides, but I also used grids. I have OCD and I just can't bring myself to eyeball things.

Thank you so much, Susan. I think the beveled look is due to using both a cutout layer and a drop shadow. I use the 3D cutout effect fairly often without the interior fill. It gives what might be described as a drop shadow that is applied evenly inside an empty space. At least that's how I use it. If you go to Effects: 3D Effects: Cutout and click on the Help button, it will open a page in the PSP Help database showing you how to use it. I'm not a great teacher so maybe Cassel can address it, perhaps in one of the Q&A sessions.
