  1. Sure, I have no problem with your using it for a group. If you want the original file, I can send that to you for better quality.
  2. I = invitation
  3. G = groomsmen
  4. Thanks Rene. It would never have occurred to me that the paper made by the printer manufacturer would be the best choice.
  5. I am Canadian. The bottle opener is highly suitable. ☺️
  6. Lately, I've had so many small problems pop up when trying to "react" to a post, or in creating a post. I just tried to reply to Rene in my question about printer paper. I've typed it twice and clicked submit, and it disappears. It did the same recently when I tried to reply to someone else. It seems hit and miss. I so often have to refresh the page or logout and then log in again in order to do any commenting or reacting. Is it just me?
  7. Fifteen generations! Yikes. I can't go beyond my dad's mother. There are no records to be found in that part of Eastern Europe.
  8. I thought I responded to your comment a couple of days ago, but it vanished! Trying again... My family tree is very lopsided. My mother's side is fairly comprehensive, but my dad's is empty, more or less. He was born in a region of Eastern Europe that changed borders and governments several times. Also there were wars and devastation that likely destroyed records. I can't go beyond his mother, and she was so secretive about all that. I have hired researchers in that part of the world, but they were not able to come up with anything valuable. I would love to set Gates's research team on this mystery, but I don't think even they would find much. Just the way it is, and I've accepted it.
  9. I finally got around to getting a new colour printer. The one I had was lousy so I didn't use it. Now I'm all set to print things. Like CARDS. What size paper (and finish) is best for this purpose? Thanks for help.
  10. Today I did my monthly volunteer work for the county (but miles away) family history centre in the library. I was reminded of a day when a woman from Texas came here (to Ontario) looking for family info. It just so happens that I had written about her ancestor's hotel built in my home town in 1900 and I was able to show her what I had and to take her and her husband for a drive to show them what was left to see (the foundation outline only). That was back in July 2022, and we had a lot of fun with the materials she brought along which included some very old photos. In the pic, I'm at left, she's in the middle, and another volunteer is right. Just a lot of elements and blending and playing going on.
  11. The dog in the 3rd picture makes me smile each time I see this. A sweet-looking Doodle perhaps? Not what I would expect to see in an old wild west environment, but I like it anyway.
  12. I think I need to be reminded why you do "Divas" as layouts. If I did know, I've forgotten. Hope you don't mind.
  13. V = vigorous (the way we need to approach our workouts)
  14. The mitts strung at the bottom really add a special touch.
  15. A little actor in the family? Cool.
  16. Wasn't aware of that script. I like the effect. And the colours and the way you've used them are really great.
  17. You're no quitter!
  18. Oh, those colours! Love 'em.
  19. I'm having trouble adding a question to the page. Each time I click on Reply to this topic, it includes Donna's comment and I am unable to add a comment there either! Some gremlin in the works?
  20. When the Merlin comes to my yard, she/he is looking for the small birds as a snack. And they are drawn here by the feeders. I feel guilty facilitating the predator.
  21. They are beautiful. We have only one variety of this bird in SW Ontario, the belted kingfisher and they're not as colourful as these (white, blue, grey). Would love to see any of them near my yard!
  22. I agree. Coming up with a theme sometimes takes a long time. And then I have to actually find pix I can use b/c I don't take many.
  23. Template 7 (extra). Done. The two pix were taken (top) last night and (bottom) this morning b/c I was impressed with the colours in the sky as the sun set and rose. It always makes me think of "Red sky at night, sailors' delight" and "Red sky at morn, sailors be warned." But it didn't work that way this time. We had a cloudy, damp, and chilly day with some rain. So much for those old sayings I guess. I didn't change much in the template and added not much except for the little suns as elements. I'm not a big flower lover (at least the scrapbook kind, the reals ones are lovely). So I usually change them to something else. Fonts are two different ones and I don't recall their names.
  24. Wow, love that element that you blended into the blue paper. It works.
  25. This is Template 6 (extra). I am so sick of it by now. I dither around and arrange and re-arrange and then dither some more and try different effects...until I make myself crazy! All images from online (Pixabay, I think). Changed the texture to one in my stash. Two fonts: Dry Hard Sans and Merry Jolly, both with gradient fills.
