It seems that most of us don't like clusters very much and that includes me too! When I was searching my photos for the coming Double Page Workshop I decided the theme (I like a theme) Switzerland as I have so many photos about it. I have done some layouts for my daughter and her in-laws so I have the ribbons and the flair button I used for this random challenge. But it is not my thing, maybe just a good idea to get out of my comfort zone?

Hi Carole, Nice challenge, but I cann't download the template. That's not a problem for me I can do it from scratch, but some other might want a template to play with.

Sometime ago I saw a layout a bit similar to this and I liked those drops which are perfect for showing little flowers. In my flower photocollection I found some which have the colors of the palette. The fonts are Bistern and School Sketch. Backgrounds are also in the colors of the palette and are made using 2 papers and a blend mode. The april with the ducks is a stamp.

Monique I never use photos of my granddaughters in layouts! I tried blurring their faces but I don't like that. So I don't do it with 1 0r 2 exceptions and on those cases with permission, they weren't recognizable in the first place?

I only had time to hunt yesterday evening, but I found them all and send the email, so job done! It was fun!

Ladies thank you so much, I had a lovely day and this afternoon there will be more visitors! A special thanks to Poncho, give him a cuddle from me, or a treat!

Thank you Rene for I didn't recollect how it was done. For me as a child it was in the 50's and with my own children we always painted boiled eggs with special paint for food.

Yes I remember that vinegar smell too now you mentioned it, and the vinegar was put in the water. I think that it was used when the color was good to stop the process. But I'm not sure, I cann't ask that anymore either. Vinegar was and maybe is still used to protect the color of clothing, for instance yeans when you wash them. Of course nowadays there are so many washing detergents that it is not done that way any longer, but I remember using vinegar that way many , many years ago.

I grew up in the 50th and that time in the Netherlands it still was a period of rebuilding after the WWII. I remember we always were "coloring" real eggs in boiling red water. The red water saving from cooking red cabbage. When I was lucky my grandparents brought a chocolate eggs when coming to dinner. For my children we always have hidden the eggs and of course the places where to search were adapted to their ages. Mostly in the house because the weather for an outside hunt wasn't good enough, especially when Easter was early in the year. At some point they outgrew it and we stopped. My grandchildren don't live in the Netherlands, but my daughter has kept the tradition. My birthday is on April 8 and it is mostly around Easter and then I always have all kinds of chocolate eggs as sweets.

N = New as it's all "new" greenery in the Spring, at least in the northern hemisphere

Marie-Claire I live not very far from the border with Belgium and we have had the same miserable weather! I have very few new photos as well and I have already participated in this Double Challenge as it was called then and I don't want to repeat myself. I absolutely don't want to destroy my photo albums by "ripping" a page from it, so I have to search what to use.

I signed up too and it is a bit too early as I'm going to visit my daughter and her family (who live now in California) in Mai. I will have tons of new photos, but not now! I'll choose some old ones and use the templates later to make a photo album.

Julie thank you, our gardencenters are open year round and they sell houseplants as well and all kind of pots and accessories. Most have a small café and we go there often, a specially on gloomy days or weeks for a coffee and a stroll through the glasshouse. Spring isn't great here either, I want a bit of sunshine and am fed up with the rain, wind and cold. The only plus point is that's good for the groundwater levels which were very low after 2 uncommonly dry and hot summers we have had.

A couple of days ago we went to a gardencenter because we needed some compost and this lovely flowers caught my eye and of course I couldn't resist taking a picture of them. And I needed a change from the Build a Kit Workshop before I will wrap that up! The fonts I used are: Christmas seasonal (why it is called like that is beyond me), Floral dividers (a dingbat) and Century gothic. Background papers come from my stash. I made a simple mask for the biggest of the 2 photos inspired by some of the ones Sue Thomas has done some time ago. This is just a starting point for me in making more and different masks myself.
