  1. Doska very nice layout and I can sympathize with you, we had very much the same summer as was the case in many parts of southwestern Europe.
  2. Probably not because, there are very few grapes and they are small and will not ripen any more. Maybe they can do a couple of bottles for their own use, but certainly not commercial.
  3. Thank you, sometimes it is being in the right place at the right time! Those shots mostly happen if I'm not going for a walk with the intention to find something to take a photo of. I'm very excited because I have ordered a new iPhone (16 pro) that has the ability to take macro as well. It will take at least another month before I have it completely installed to my liking and have learned the new camera features. I will not go back to having a separate camera because I don't have that always with me; I live in a very build up area and have no direct acces to wild life spots, nor do we have a big garden where I can sit still to watch what is going on around me. However it is what it is and I can enjoy all the lovely photos you post!
  4. It is going to look a bit like autumn with the Hydrangeas slowly getting browner. In one to two weeks time all its flowers will be brown and stay so over winter. Most of the leaves are still green. When I was taking a short stroll I noticed this autumn beauty. My own plants are getting brown too, but I haven't taken a photo yet.
  5. It looks like this little bird is enjoying its bath! Great photo, even in this reduced version I can see the fluffy feathers so well.
  6. @ Carole, me neither but that is the beauty of traveling to new countries or regions. I'm curious and always keep my eyes open for new things.
  7. I totally agree with your quote! I have taken many lovely photos when on such a walk and therefore I always take my iPhone with me, even when I'm only going to post a letter or a card.
  8. I love those photos and the way you used them in this layout!
  9. @ Carole Yes I checked on the full-size project, because I wanted to see if the shadow was directly under the photo, which it was and then I checked the jpg and it was still visible, so maybe it was the resizing after all
  10. Project #5 For today I choose I photo of a pinyon pine tree that I saw on a hill side on one of the road trips I took with my family. Because of the hill I was able to look into the tree on more or less eye level and noticed this "flower" that grows into the pine cone. These trees doesn't grow in Europe, of course we have conifers too, just different ones. The colors of my layout are all taken from the photo and I used a kit by DBMagnolia in the blogtrain from juli 2021. The stitching came from the blogtrain october 2022. The fonts are Lucinda Handwriting and Gill Sans Ultra Bold. I have really enjoyed doing this Bootcamp again and have loved to see all the different layouts that were posted.
  11. Spring here was very wet and cold and the summer started much the same way, but august was fine and not too hot. September until now was warm, about 24 Celsius with the nights about 16 to 18. All in all very pleasant you only notice it is going darker in the evenings by the week. In a couple of days we will have the lights on at dinnertime. But the weather is now changing to rain and much cooler, about 15 C daytime and under 10 at night. We haven't much autumn colors yet, but a some trees drop their leaves because of the very wet conditions in spring. Today there was an article in the newspaper about the Dutch vineyards which we have since 10 to 15 years. Due to the climate change it has become considerately warmer and it is now possible to produce decent wines over here. But not this year! Because the wet spring the grapes are small and there are fewer of them too. For some growers it will cost too much to pick and produce wine with no profit left. One of them said in the interview that this year the birds will have a feast.
  12. @ Carole, I had a look at that shadow and luckily I have it on a separate layer, force of habit. The shadow really is there and not under a paper. In the layers palette it is right under the photo layer. No idea what happened, maybe it has something to do with my PSP acting strangely and suddenly shutting down. I didn't had that specific problem for some time now, hopefully it was a hiccup and not something structural again. I removed the shadow and did it again and now it is there, strange!
  13. Very lovely and good you took the time to explore! I sadly live in a small and very regulated and country where you can't see such great barn structures. The most we might have are old sheds on a yard and they are not very pittoresk and the farmer won't be happy if you took a photo of it either.
  14. That is a very beautiful close up. I love chrysanthemums, but my husband is allergic to them, so we can't have them in the house and preferably not on the patio either. If we get a bouquet where they are in, I have to remove them and rearrange my bouquet.
  15. Project #4 I continue to use my photos from California and to me it is amazing to see the wide variety of flowers there when I take a stroll through the neighborhood where my family lives. All the papers are from Rachel M Hailey; the butterflies are from the Meadow bundle by Jessica Dunn and the scatters from Marissa Lerin. The fonts are Impact and My Butterfly. No pinky shears for me, I like scallops more. I mirrored the layout from the lesson because my photos are more tilted to the right and this way is more pleasing to the eye, at least to mine. As always the most time goes to selecting the photos which is a pleasure!
  16. You made a great variation of the inked edges! Nice that you described how you did it.
  17. I too want to wish you, probably to late, happy birthday! But as the saying is: Better late than never.
  18. Thank you and the description of the script says that it makes the broken effect on text or shapes! Well that instantly gave me the idea to use it on that paperclip after I had figured out how to use the clip.
  19. You are not alone in your admiration of this technique and how to implement it so beautifully. We have a lot learning and experimenting to do!
  20. It may have taken a while but now I have used that paperclip as I promised I would do. Actually it was fortunate that I didn't do it before because I won the cass-Broken script this Sunday and it came in sooo handy! Thank you Carole and I can show you immediately what I have come up with. I had great fun making this layout and I must admit that the paperclip wasn't all too difficult to use. The clip is in essence the same as a regular paperclip, they are both made out of one piece of wire. Therefore I looked at how I would use a normal one and then I saw how to use this one. I can't believe it is that simple after all the discussion about it, but when I follow the line of the clip I think it is oké. I used the Broken script not only on the words but on a paperclip too and I hope it is all visible on this reduced page. I have given the words and the clip a slight bevel to make the effect better to see. The other paperclip and the word distressed are treated to a brush with distress effect. The 2 papers and the stain come from Marissa Lerin in the Work Bundle and the font is Bahnschrift.
  21. You put all your "stuff" to a very good use! It is so nice when people can keep up a good friendship over a long period of time.
  22. Yes we did, but this challenge cries out for the script to be used. You maybe didn't have a lot of time but you made a stunning page with those flowers.
  23. I don't remember exactly but somewhere around 1740. It is very comforting to see something that is so old can still function perfectly today on the power of the wind! The mills in Kinderdijk are even a backup if the modern generators and pumping system malfunction.
  24. Without the stamp but I had to place Kinderdijk on the bottom left to keep it balanced
