  3. @Hank Sobah That is a very colorful double-page with the Moraine State Park. It is great to envision everything happening in the park. @Nancy McNamara Will we still be able to see some projects from you? I hope so! @Anja Pelzer Using text, and other elements are great ways to fill that space. With two pages, you have more room to showcase more photos and stories. @Gerry Landreth Of course, you can spread the elements to cover more space. You can also enlarge them. Remember that the template was just a starting point. And using the open book is a great idea to display two pages! For the second project, if you used the Frame tool, the proportions should not be affected. I am curious to know how you got such an irregular edge on the frames. I thought it was only working with regular edges/shapes. Very creative! @Lesley Maple I think you will convince me to start pet sitting!!! That is such a fun project and I can see how the pet parents would love that! @Connie Collier That is a great start for your project. You can always add a second page later, when more photos come, or if you want to add a story to the other page. And yes, practice and repetition will be common in this workshop. @kasany I am a bit curious: did you ride that 20 km? And what about those indoor photos? Were they are specific stops along the way or at the end of the ride? @Marie-Claire I see you are using some velum on your page. That is interesting as it lets the viewer see the background image while still making a definition for the text areas. @Corrie Kinkel You can certainly change the format of the templates. They are just starting points! @Sharla Those are beautiful photos!! Well showcased. @Ann SeeberCombining adjacent photo spots for a larger photo is always fun to do as it gives so much more flexibility! For those who have not posted yet, we are curious. Show us your projects, even if they are still a work in progress.
  4. As I am working on some miniature plants, do you happen to have miniatures of your own? It could be a miniature house, but maybe another type of miniature. Let's chat.
  5. Yes, I set up the downloads similar to other downloads for members.
  6. Just download the .psd file. That is the only one you need.
  7. You should just change the shortcut. The new forum is different than the old one, and the old one is just called "archive" as it is no longer active, but it is still available for reference. Everything until Dec 31st, is archived.
  8. Double pages are perfect to add more stories and pictures than typical "single pages".
  9. Clusters are about grouping elements, and not photos. Of course, if you are thinking of them as page templates, they rarely make sense! ?
  10. Sorry to see you work so hard. When I create it, it is already in layers. The idea was only to use the shapes as placeholders, not as exact shapes, which is why I didn't include the layered version. But if that is what participants want, next time, I can share the layered version. It is created using the Cluster Template Maker.
  11. Here is a challenge to do something that might not be repeated in other months. Just an idea that popped like that (and you can also send me suggestions for occasional random challenges too). However, it MIGHT become popular and if that is the case, we might use this challenge on a more regular basis. Clusters can be a way to use elements you have and combine them differently. Sometimes, it is hard to get started from scratch, so let's use a sketch, which will be a starting point. Here is the cluster. Although you don't have to use the shapes in the sketch as-is, you can use them as inspiration. The long rectangles can be papers or ribbons. The wavy shape would represent an uneven ribbon. The filled circle can be a tag (might not be round either). The empty rings can be replaced by filled elements or empty ones. The flower shape can be a placeholder for another flower or even a different element in a similar size. Remember that templates and sketches are meant to be a starting point, but you can modify the end result as needed. Post your project in the gallery.
  12. That is the exact point of that script. And yes, it is a free script.
  13. You got me searching as those are old scripts! ? Open Duplicate is a Corel script, that will duplicate the image you want to use and close the original. Open a Copy is a script of mine, which is very similar to the previous one. The main difference is that it will rename the file to the same name as the original file plus _copy and SAVE it. The purpose is that the auto-save would only work on saved images; if an image is never saved, the auto-save has nothing to "save".
  14. Yes, that is what I have been going through. It led me to the Moncton university, however, when I contacted them, they said they have cleared all books from before 1990 (which was not updated on worldcat!) Still trying to find someone to check things for me as the information is typically not available on those sites as to which edition I am actually looking for! ? I was hopefully when I saw the mention of Moncton as it is just over 2 hours drive from here so I could have gone in person.
  15. I can look!
  16. Yes, I did. I found ONE volume (V. 13) and it was not in that volume. I don't know if it is even the correct edition either.
  17. So you would do "life-size" furniture with that? Cool! What kind of items did you get printed that way? How do you find those places and how do you get it shipped back? I am curious because my son plays with a little 3D printer but dreams of something much much bigger! And yes, 3D printing is more and more affordable (although I am not sure about that size!)
  18. The year after this photo was taken, we moved, and the whole set was "lost". There are some tutorials with wire furnitures (I had found those), but it is not what I remember. And there is a LOT of information available on YouTube, and in FB groups. If anyone wants to give it a try, join those groups. It is amazingly inspiring.
  19. Have you ever kept very old books from your childhood? If so, they could be worth a scrapbook page! If you ever have some special contacts to help me find the tutorials I am looking for, here is the information I have: it would be an edition before 1970 (likely in the '50s or early '60s) it was called Encyclopédie de la Jeunesse (someone hinted that it might be the French version of the Book of Knowledge, but I am not sure about that) there was a section for crafts and various activities to do there were tutorials and patterns to create a little village and some doll furniture using metallic wire (I think it was brass) in the furniture tutorials, each item was created with a single strand of wire that was folded, bent, curved, etc. Nothing was glued or soldered the furniture included a table and chairs for the kitchen, a hutch for the dining room, a sofa, and coffee table for the living room, a double bed with a canopy, for the bedroom, a rocking chair, and a bassinet for the nursery. Once I can find the exact edition that has those tutorials, I can find a way to either borrow the volumes or find someone who could scan the tutorials for me. It is a big ask, but it is fun to search! Let's chat!
  20. But it looks interesting nevertheless!
  21. The center which seems like a different color is just a different "saturation" of the same color. What do you get if if you use the brush at a much larger scale? What colors does it show?
  22. Everyone here knows it is a safe site. Some anti-virus are just over-zaleous. Don't worry. As for the categories, don't worry about searching in the "correct" one as the search will look everywhere for you.
  23. You can keep it and export it as a preset shape, for future use. For the script, from memory, I think it will rasterize it because picture tubes can't be vectors. And yes, you can save that flower as a brush. Remember that a brush will be a single color, so it will ignore the fact that you might have added a yellow center to a purple flower. If you keep the center white, it will be a hole in the imprint and yes, you can always fill it manually after, but depending on how many flowers you have, it could be tedious!
  24. Some participants HAVE added shadows so you would not have been alone!
  25. I fixed it now!
