I have it as a PSP plugin. It shows in my list of plugins after I set the File Location to it.
-
And beware that you HAVE to INSTALL it today. There is a counter of some kind and if you download today and try to install tomorrow, it won't work (I have made that mistake in the past).

I guess it is ok here, but if you add a link it will be easier for viewers to get it, especially considering that it has to be installed TODAY only.

Our theme in May is MOTHER'S DAY, and by extension, MOTHERS in general. Of course, that can include grandmothers and other mothers than your own. Maybe it is about you too, if you are a mother. Do you have photos and stories to share about the mothers in your life? It could be a great opportunity to remember some of those little details that typically are forgotten. Time to put them out in the open! Let's go! Post your project in the gallery.

In May, our monthly theme is MOTHER'S DAY. I am aware that Mother's Day is not in May everywhere in the world, and honestly, it should be every month of the year! Now, although it is the DAY that is the theme, we can play this game with a little tweak: let's talk about MOTHERS. So what words can you think of, starting with each letter of the alphabet, that relates to MOTHERS? Let's go!

It is a new month and new projects. Show off what you are working on in May be it a scrapbook page, a collage, a tutorial, or anything else you want. We are curious and want to see, learn, and get inspired. These threads are quickly becoming a fantastic source of inspiration, support, and friendship. Keep them coming! Remember to size down your image to about 600x600 pixels and save it in .jpg format before posting it. Here are a few guidelines for everyone: when you post a project, give as much information on your sources or techniques used. It will help others who are curious and would like to do the same. if someone uses something that you like on their page, ask where they got it. Sometimes, you can go get it too and it will be better quality than trying to extract it (as it would have been resized to post in the forum anyways). if it is something that they did from scratch, ask how they did it. It would be so helpful to everyone! if you like a photo and would like to “play with it”, ALWAYS ask permission. Sometimes, there are some limitations and the person is not allowed to let others use it. Don’t get them in trouble. Usually, people are happy to say yes (if they can) when you ask politely. And if you get permission, you might get a better-quality image than the resized image anyways.

And that is quite ok. Knowing what to do and when is great.

Yes, once you BUY anything in the Campus, you get the permanent access. I still have the written notes printed and bound. I keep referring to them, years later!

The whole class is $60. As for non-English in coding, you might be surprised that most of the commands are actually using English words as the language is Python and it is English based. Have you ever opened a script in Notepad? And of course, you might still want to rely on ready-made scripts. I have over 15 years of experience in scripting, so even though I started with that same exact course, I have learned more since. But, at any point, if you change your mind, you know where I am!
-
I plan on another cohort for the scripting course. Last time, I started it in August, with 2 lessons per week (I was also making videos to illustrate the lessons and add information about changes in more recent versions). Maybe you would like to join then.

I COULD show you some of my tricks if you want, although you have to not be scared of code!
-
Exactly!!
-
Believe it or not, I still learn and discover things while "playing" with PSP. Even accidents can be happy at times!
-
Yes, you have that option. When I code scripts, I try to offer as many options as I can.
-
Since it is left in layers, you can enlarge the photo or size down the mask ?
-
That is often a motivator for members. I often use buttons either in clusters or in corners, a bit like they are holding the photo. But that is far from the only way to use them!

I am not sure what the original size is for the pre-loaded frames, but notice that in the preview, you can see if they should be square or rectangular, vertical or horizontal. I think the PSP frames are a good way to go fast for someone who does not know better.
-
I would strongly discourage you from doing that as it will distort when used in various situations: if you have a square frame to start and use it on a rectangular image (or vice versa), the proportions on the edges will be inconsistent if you have a frame of a certain dimension (say 1000x1000px) and use it on something larger (say 3600x3600), it will become blurred This might need a blog post as you are not the first one thinking that.

Looking forward to some samples you will make with them!

https://scrapbookcampus.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/1-2-3-Challenge.jpg Let's make things a little fun for you. Are you looking for ways to spark your creativity and still create something meaningful? This will be a new monthly challenge for you. Every month, you will be given instructions to use 1, 2, and 3 of something. Would that be more than you usually use? or less? Let's see. Create a layout using : 1 frame 2 folded elements 3 buttons You can create those elements or use what you currently have in your stash. Showcase any photo, use any template (if you want). Just make sure you include the required elements.

Yes, Blend modes are great for coloring surfaces where you want to keep the texture as is.
-
Depending on your PSP version, the Optimizer might not be necessary since you might adjust the compression directly in the Save as... dialog window (only in recent versions).

The question is not whether the scatters need a shadow but what shadow to add. Anything that might be made of paper or such would require a shadow, but when you are talking about translucent elements, that is trickier. Maybe you can get some details in the Shadow Challenges Master Class. However, you are probably on the right direction with reducing the opacity. Remember that the more translucent something is, the less shadow it casts since the light goes through more.

I already have a violet! But the begonia might be something to look into.
-
Yeah, that might be a good one to try! And it is colorful too!
