ScrapBootcamp3-800-Title-400x300.jpg

First of all, come and say HI once you register for this bootcamp.

We want to know who else will be there, on our side to cheer everyone up.

Everyone started as a beginner, so don't ever compare yourself to others. You will learn one tool at the time, one concept at the time and you will create one project at the time. Everyone will have different photos and possibly different supplies so every project will be different.

Once the Bootcamp is started, on May 10th, 2021, you can post your projects in here.

Remember to resize your images to about 600 pixels AND saving in jpg format, before uploading it so it won't slow down the site when we have lots of your masterpieces. Try to follow the tutorials at least enough that we can recognize what lesson you completed.

Now, let's get ready !

If you missed the registration link or if you found this thread before I announce it (some people are very observant), HERE it is. Share it around if you want.

Although this Bootcamp is mostly meant to help beginners, we won't exclude anyone for "excess experience". Some participants are back for a second round. You are always welcome. Remember that it will be the exact same tutorials so don't be surprised. I am sure you will now do something slightly different than the previous time.

Since anyone can follow the whole Bootcamp using the trial version of PaintShop Pro, this is a perfect opportunity for anyone to give it a try and see how they like the program, so share with your friends who MIGHT consider using PaintShop Pro.

The 7 tutorials will be spaced out over almost 2 weeks. This should make it easier for participants to follow without feeling stressed (it should never be stressful!).

Hi Cassel ... me again! Always in for some memory jogging work and these bootcamps are an excellent place for that. Looking forward to it ... hugs Annie T.

I have some Mid-Hudson Valley, NY, landscapes to work with; not sure what to do with them yet. Here's an example of our farming district; Pine Island with world-class onions.

Welcome everyone.

Annie, welcome back to the Bootcamp.

Ann, welcome back. You will have more time than in other challenges so you might be able to do all the projects. Looking forward to see that farm picture in a project.

Cindy, welcome back. With new projects, you will be practicing some more!

Cristina, welcome back.

Joe, you are our first newcomer to post in this thread. You earned a gold star for being "brave". That church photo will surely be showcased in an upcoming project. Looking forward to seeing it.

I've participated in this challenge before, so I always try to do something different. Here is my lunch. I added a few of Cassel's picture tubes: Burger toppings and Crochet Lace.

Joe,  even after so many years, I never stop learning at the Campus.

Carole and Annie, I guess I overindulged a bit. : )

Ann, I agree with you; this exercise is always fun, and having done it so many times, we can play more with it.

This is my Project #1

I used Cassel's Alpha-Maker Sample (Alpha-Maker Script) and Bow17-Fall-ribbon freebie (Bow17 Script).

Papers by Marisa Lerin "Cozy Kitchen" freebie.

I created the confetti tube following Cassel's tutorial.

Christina, that looks so simple and nice. I must be suffering from low vision 'cause I can't find the bow you mentioned. Other than that everything works very well together. Well done!

You ladies are doing wonderful work.  I like the simplicity of them.  Cristina, I love the colours you used.  I have the custom confetti maker script, which  is great.  Saying that I do like to create my own confetti, I have now accumulated quite a few of my own confetti tubes  in my picture  tube folder. :-)

Ann, thank you! ... You are not suffering from low vision; there is no bow! : ) I added the ribbon behind the paper, but it is hard to see in the small version.

The freebie consists of two bows and two ribbons, of which the bows were created. The file name is "cass-Bow17-Fall-02-Ribbon" because the script is about creating a bow. I added the image.

Great layout, Ann. I love the colors!

Sue, my friend, thank you so much! I don't have "yet" this script : )... Like you, I also like to create my own and have a few confetti tubes in my folder, but scripts are time-savers.
