Art Kuiper Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 I liked the Day 4 challenge because it called for an image that was simple and focused. I always remember a photography judge telling me that simple is best. There is little to distract the viewer on this day's image, hopefully it gives you a strong feeling. 1
Art Kuiper Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Hello Mary, my effort to create the leather tag of St. Basil Church in Moscow was actually quite simple. I found a drawing of the church on the Internet. It had a wide outline that was continuous and all the same colour. I used the Background Eraser to clear the sky. Then I picked the outline colour and flood filled the entire inside with it. Once it was all the same colour, I saved it as a .png file and used it to make the tag. 1
Nemisis Goosehabit Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 I was sorting through some holiday photos and realized how many great meals we've shared on our various trips. What can I say about this one, except I have learned a few things doing it. The main thing being I didnt realize how big some of my photos are. My program kept running out of memory . Do other forum members have this trouble? Its a little (read "a lot") to busy with the part framing I made,so,perhaps a redo is in order. 1
Mary Solaas Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Thanks, Art. Ok, I finally finished the last day! However, I wasn't sure I understood the directions so I went back to the leather tab instructions (which are very similar) and I understood it better. I added the flowers from Gina Jones Pretty Bird kit just because I felt that something more was needed. Had fun completing the Challenge. And it really was a challenge for me. Thanks, Carole. Oh, I'm beginning to like certain fonts to write with , print with, etc. And so I'm trying to keep track of them. I have tried to stay with the same theme for this trip, so the backgrounds are the same all the way through. 1
Art Kuiper Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 It's Day 5 over again. I completely missed the stamp part of this challenge. I liked the templates provided and got into using them for my work. Then seeing Mary and others doing the Stamp and Stamp sheets, I decided to try that as well. I always wondered what the 'Step' function was for in the Eraser tool. Live and learn. This Dancing Lady orchid was seen in St. Lucia at a doctor's home that we visited. He had the most beautiful garden that included an orchid gazebo. I have only one day (6) left to go. I will miss the challenges, but I can use what I learned on other projects. 1
libera Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 ... and at least Day 1 and 2! It was my very first fly, discovering Italy, pasta and pizza, 2 meals I never loved before. 1
Art Kuiper Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Day 6 is done so all 7 days of the challenge are now complete. Thanks Carole, for the motivation to learn something new. Due to the pandemic I have been able to spend a fair amount of time on this project. The repeated use of many of the PSP functions has made them automatic now. Not so much guessing on what to do next. Hope to meet you all again at he next challenge. 1
Cristina Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 I finally managed to complete my only one layout for this challenge. Every time I participate is an opportunity to learn and do things differently from the previous time, and it is fun and inspiring to see what others are creating. Thanks, Carole! 1
Ann Seeber Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Hello whoever may still be around :) Had some fun creating the stamps. We were in Acapulco, Mexico, staying at the Las Brisas Resort which is up on a very steep hill overlooking Acapulco Bay. In order to get around, guests rent PINK JEEPS! This was part of the fun. I decided to feature the pink jeep as my stamp project but didn't have a photo of an actual one from the resort so I had to create one. I found a photo of a pink jeep and had a photo of the hilly Las Brisas mountainside, and added the distinctive hot pink logo I used for the leather tag and then I combined them to make my stamp. See for yourself on my little stamp layout. :) Oh, and last minute I decided the tag was for the Jeep key, so there it is! 1

Ann Seeber Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Here is my main page, broken into two halves. The left side shows Las Brisas Resort from the air and you can see each cottage (casita) has a pool. It was quite a climb to the top where the big restaurant was located. We were glad we had our Pink Jeep! The right side shows us at the restaurant in our Mexican clothing (we borrowed the hats) and it also shows the parasailing over Acapulco Bay that we enjoyed watching. The little gift shop shows off Las Brisas pink and white colors which were so refreshing in the hot climate. 1
