I just have to share this. Quite by accident I came across a designer on FB who offers a rather large number (40!) of FREE zipped files. Her style is very artsy and mixed media-ish which I enjoy emulating. She's much like Katie Pertiet in that way.

https://annaaspnesdesigns.com/products

Her name is Anna Aspnes. Her site offers the download link at the bottom of the home page. All you need is to sign up for her newsletters, confirm in your email, and then follow the links they send for the downloads. Three videos (quite basic) are also free.

Just putting it out there for my fellow PSPers who might enjoy some of her materials. Share with friends is what Mama taught me! 😁

Thank you Julie and I have downloaded the whole bunch. It will take all my free time this whole weekend to look what is in it! I only opened a couple of the zipfiles and it looks already very promising to say the least. You do your mama proud!😄

I'm the same. It's a bit overwhelming there's so much! I've watched a few of her videos on YouTube and her website to see ways to use them. This is gonna be fun!

Thank you Julie.  Her stuff is awesome.  I have the email saved and will download the goodies tomorrow when my main computer is finished it's back up.  I'm looking forward to watching the videos.  I see she is associated with OSCRAPS.  I love their site, amazing stuff.  I have this huge "winter" indoor list of stuff I want to do when it's cold outside and am stuck inside.  I'll need winter to last for 4 yrs if I want to get to everything I want to do.  I keep saying, "I'll get to the that when winter comes...and I have more time", then I laugh, knowing I wont have any more time than I do now.

Trying again to post this, as the last three times were unsuccessful. 😞

Thank you, Julie. 🙂 This is really a Mega Pack!

I only recently learned the name Anna Aspnes.   A designer from the Lilypad site mentioned her in a newsletter, saying she had attended an Artsy Design Course by Anna Aspnes.

I am not an artsy scrapbooker, but I have been trying to do things a bit differently for the last year or so —whenever the theme allows, not when Halloween. 😄

You have that problem too? I have such a long to-do list for winter (or any other season for that matter) and most never gets done! But I always say I do what I like as much as I can since life zips by so quickly.

Susan me too! In the mean time I have taken a quick look at all the goodies and I like a lot what I have seen thus far. Although I have to figure out how to use some.

Well,  SusanJulie, and Corrie, I also have "big plans" to do something later. 😄

I see so many great ideas here that I want to replicate, and I am also inspired by different layouts I see on the internet, designer newsletters, etc.

Well, I guess the saying "to bite off more than one can chew" resonates with me. But I know that, if not all, I will get some done one day or the other.

Thanks so much, @Julie Magerka. It is certainly a MEGA bundle.

And it seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. You'll get emails about more freebies to come! Gotta love that. I'm still watching her videos and trying to use the techniques that she has developed for such unique layouts.

I watched the three videos, they were great.  I joined the VIP email list too.  hahaha, the first time I've being a VIP in my life!  I'm gonna make my husband clean the the bathrooms today! After all, a VIP wouldnt do that, am I right?  I'm still buying kits till the end of the year and then hopefully stopping and using only what I have.  I see she has some pretty great deals coming too.

No VIP should clean a bathroom! That's what men are for, right?

Go to this page, Sue, and scroll down to where you see the section on "Learn".  She also has many videos on YouTube. Even the older ones are worth watching.

I have to stop downloading and buying too! I couldn't possibly use what I have accumulated in a decade or more! But freebies? That's a different kettle of fish.

Instead of that page, use this link instead, more direct. Scroll down to locate the 3 videos.

I have the same "problem" and have accumulated so much that I sometimes forget what I have or where it could be stored. Most of the time that is straightforward but with a some of these goodies there isn't a logical place to put them. I still have them all together as well and will look into it after a couple of weeks. October is always the busiest month for me due to many birthdays and appointments. But I'll survive.......

I stopped spending money a long time ago; there are too many freebies available, especially in the blog trains. I've stopped myself from downloading anything new (well, I've slowed down anyway). I have literally thousands of zip files I have yet to open and organize. To organize my supplies I have different folders in a main folder I call Creations. It includes folders for Backgrounds, Textures and Overlays, Clip Art, Templates, etc. I make sure the names of the files include the source and include a preview pic (if there is one) in the folders. If I find something I want to use, I can do a search in Creations for all the items included in that kit. I don't know if this makes sense to anyone else but it works for me.

Thanks Michele and I have my own system of storing the goodies I collect and for most of them it is quite easy to categorize them, but in this whole lot there are some that don't belong to any of my categories. I'll have to make a new one but I'll do that after I have looked into them and see where I can put them.

Mostly I use categories to store my stash, as Michele and Corrie said they do, but for some designers, I simply create a folder for their names and then keep the files in their original folders, but I add more info to the folder names to identify them better. e.g. [Katie Pertiet] > Artsy Stroke Lines or Filmstrip Edges, etc.

Each of us has a system for keeping everything we have collected over the years.  Most of my stash consists of freebies, but when I see something I like and that I could never create myself, I get it, but ONLY when it is on sale.

The Lilypad site offers a 50% discount on some items chosen by the designers every Wednesday.  It could be a kit or just papers, elements, borders, etc.  I've found some interesting stuff this way.  They also offer it on Fridays, but then it is only 20%.

Usually, I unzip the files and keep the folder intact.  But I separate some of the folders by theme, like Christmas, Summer, Halloween, and Fall.   Recently, I have created a folder called "Artsy Designers" with subfolders that include the designers who create in an artsy way, like Lynn Grieveson, Katie Portiert, Rachel Jefferies, and Anna Aspnes.

The type of layout I'll create will depend on the photo (person).  Designing for preteens will be different than creating something about our trips, for example.  Before, I would have only to please the moms; now, the children have grown older and have their own taste! 😄
