Cassel Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Have you ever made an ALPHABET album? It is a fun way to showcase photos or stories, but with an added twist. I have created an alphabet album in the past, where each page had a title (and a topic) starting with one letter of the alphabet. Then, the pages were placed in alphabetical order, even if not in chronological order. So, for 2022, I am suggesting this long-term challenge for you. With one page every 2 weeks, we will be able to finish the year with a complete album. It is up to you to decide if you want to print it or share it otherwise. I will share my own pages, just for ideas, but I will also give you some more words that will start with the letter of the week. Try to think of one overarching theme to use. It could be about your last vacation, a family gathering, a hobby of yours, a location, etc. Think of something that you have lots of photos of or many words you can associate with. If you have not started yet and want to jump in, no problem. You know the alphabet so you know what letters you will have to do and you still have many months to catch up on those few pages, so don't hesitate. There is also no deadline, so if this week's page is done only next month, it is totally fine too. So here is my J layout. Of course, you can use words in your own language too. As you can see, this album was done in French. Here are some other words that could be used as title/theme: Jackpot, Jambory, Jewel, Jazz, Jingle, Join, Joke, Jolly, Jelly, Jumbo, Jade, Jealous, Japan, Jump, Junk, Jail, Jaws, Jellyfish, Jet, Jinxed, Job, Journal, Juice, Junior, Jeopardy, Just, Jeans, Juggle, Jump, Jeep, Janitor, Jacks, Jell-O, Jogging, and many more. What will your J layout be?
Rene Marker Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 J is for Edward Jones Investments. My parents first invested with the local advisor in the 70's and I started with him in the late 80's. The original advisor retired and sold his office to another advisor and I really like him. He has the same philosophy as the original advisor. Sadly, the original advisor passed away unexpectedly a few months after he retired not long after I did this layout! Because of both my parents investments and mine, I have a nice retirement fund of my own. So Edward JONES is important to me!

Corrie Kinkel Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 After 3 weeks being in the States with my daughter and the grandkids I came back home today. I had a lovely time and have seen a lot, which will be shown in the coming months. I have a hell of a jetlag, but am unable to get to sleep right away, so here is my letter J, which I did before leaving. De "Jachthaven" or the "Marina" is situated along a waterway which gives the yachts access to the river and lakes beyond. It was constructed in 2001 and is only a small marina with yachts and motorboats. There is a pavillion with a nice terras that is also frequented by walkers and bikers. I made the mask with watercolorbrushes.
Marie-Claire Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Welcome back Corrie ! looking forward to see your photos ? very nice such a Marina
Sue Thomas Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Lovely to have you back. I'm anxious to see your photos, showcased in wonderful layouts.
Corrie Kinkel Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 Ladies, thank you. The photos will be used: today I have just transferred them to the pc and I need a little bit of time to get over my jetlag before I make silly mistakes........
Marie-Claire Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 J for Jazz. With a lot of delay....I will continue with my alphabet album about the city of Leuven, Belgium I didn't use shadows, because the background is a wall, and these are supposed to be posters pasted on the wall.
