  1. Today
  2. I love those houses. Arent they just a joy to look at all the details. I also love looking at the Christmas villages people display. How big are these houses?
  3. That's really neat Bonnie, love the idea of the double page and this kind of layout works so well for a large group. And glad to see you back. Now we must put an alert out for Julie M.
  4. I found a new to me group on FB, Creative Scrapbooker Magazine's Sketchy Group. They offer a sketch each month. I used the April sketch and flipped it to create a double page.
  5. Yesterday
  6. These are so pretty Mary.
  7. I was wondering that too.
  8. This is so cool!
  9. The L is for our collection of Lilliput Lane miniature buildings. Many years ago we visited the southwest of England a couple of times and on our first visit saw those adorable miniature replicas of iconic British cottages, churches, shops etc. We bought some and since then bought more each time we went to England or Scotland (sorry Sue no Wales). Some we have on display and I sometimes change them.
  10. Thank you Jeni and Cristina, I'll have a look as soon as I have finished making a photobook as a thank you gift from the swimming group I'm in. The lady who manages the coffee/tea and lesson's fee at the pool is leaving and we had a buffet made by one of our members. My attribution was taking the photos and now I'm making an album. So busy doing that and getting it printed as soon as possible.
  11. Yes, if you include one of each in your project, it will count!
  12. I wil give it a try, Diagonal from top left til right down = 1gringham pattern 2 mulitple Scallops 3 free 4 Threaded stitch 5 decorative border. Is this what you had in mind?
  13. That was actually Anne Lamp, Mary.
  14. @Anne Lamp I'm fascinated with what you have done with the silhouettes. You have an interesting mind. LOVE IT!!!🥰😁
  15. The 7th and last of the Vector Workshop for PSP. The knife tool is a very interesting tool. I believe it is used for the making of paper clips also. I'm sure there are several other uses to use that tool for. I tried it on the heart I made to turn it into a "bleeding heart flower", but I failed. I'll post this in the q&a thread. Anyway, I finished with the partial circle and the partial text. The text I used was Adventure Island Script. The gradient background I made with pink and green from my Spring Kit colors.
  16. I am providing you with a card with 24 elements that can be included in a layout. You can make a bingo by using any element in a straight line that would make a bingo, whether it is a horizontal line, a vertical line, or a diagonal line. That means that you have to include 5 (or only 4 if you use the FREE in the center) elements in your layout. Of course, you can have more than one bingo if you want to create more than one layout. Once you post your layout, tell us what 4-5 elements from the Bingo card you are using (it is just easier for everyone to check on you! ? ) So, here is your card, for June 2025. If you are a DIAMOND member and want to create those elements, you are more than welcome. All the elements listed have a tutorial inside the membership. If you don't have access to those tutorials, or if you don't want to do anything from scratch, you can also use ready-made elements. There is no rule for or against that. The only rule: have fun and be creative!
  17. The idea of one photo a week was quite popular in 2024, and it encouraged participants to take photos and showcase them without having to create a whole layout for them. In 2025, I will offer you a little twist on this. Again, the idea is only to showcase a single photo at a time. You can showcase them as a flashcard, emphasizing the letter (you can use these free cards as a basis to create your own). Of course, if you want a different format, you can use a polaroid frame, a slide, or a playing card (like Susan was doing in 2024). Choose the format you want, and keep it throughout the year. But just make sure to emphasize the first letter! Every 2 weeks, you will be asked to take a picture of something, at home (or around your home) that starts with a specific letter of the alphabet. The goal is just to be on the lookout for ANYTHING that can be photographed. You can stage the object however you want, or just take a picture of it in its natural environment. For example, you can showcase your favorite Mug, or your Pillow, or your Fireplace. You can practice your photography skills if you want, but you can just capture things as they are. Let's just encourage each other. This is a no-pressure thread. And if you skip a letter or two, you can always come back. You know your alphabet, so you can easily catch up whenever you need to. Let's continue with the letter L. It could be your reading Lamp, a Laundry basket full of clothes, the Ladle in your utensil drawer, or your soft Living room blanket! What will you showcase?
  18. "I'm sorry you're having tech problems..." It shows, Michele, that it can happen with any app. 🙂 Both images are free to download; the link is provided in the YouTube video description. The picture I posted was just the girl who was selected from the image below. I'm not sure why the crashes happened. It could have been because the "Model. afphoto" file was created in a previous version (a warning is displayed about it). But I made a copy of it and saved it in the newer version. Working with the Perspective Filter is tricky, too. In the end, I saved a PNG file, which I then used.
  19. Corrie, I'm taking an Affinity Designer class on the Affinity Revolution site. I'm not sure if there are differences in what they offer compared to Udemy. It’s probably worth checking out.
  20. I'm sorry you're having tech problems, but I love the pic!
  21. Whether you do eat at McDonald's or not, you probably have at least heard about it. I knew the origin story but had not realized the dates. The McFlurry was "invented/released" on June 7, 1995 (30 years ago), right here, where I live. If you are curious, here is a radio interview with the "inventor" and still owner of our local McDonald's. Check this out.
  22. Last week
  23. There is a cost to Udemy, it is currently USD13.99 per course, for a short time. Ally has 15 courses there. I am doing another, Learn the entire Affinity Suite, by Lindsay Marsh and Jeremy Hazel.
  24. Wow. This looks just like a house cat (the inset picture). I love seeing your cat calendar every month.
  25. I too follow the tutorials or lessons for Photo and Designer, but I too didn't know she was on Udemy and I will check that out. Thanks Jeni
  26. These are the images given by Affinity Revolution to work with.
  27. Since the Vector Workshop, I’ve been watching and practicing a few video tutorials for PSE and Affinity. I wish I had more time to experiment with the programs and create something in PSP, but that isn’t possible right now. This is my attempt to replicate the Affinity Revolution's CRAZY Perspective Bending Composite! Affinity Photo Tutorial. It uses the Perspective Filter. Yesterday was my first attempt, and it was successful. However, when I tried reopening the .afphoto file, the app crashed. Yeah, this also happens in Affinity. 😊 Today, I tried again, and it crashed while I was adding a shadow. After another attempt, starting from scratch, I managed to complete it without any issues.
