Wow you ladies have been busy. I haven’t got any further than looking for a suitable image. Anyway, you have now inspired me to get cracking and have a go. You have all done fabulous works of art. Love them.

Thank you for your time and comments Dawn. I always try and see an alternative and useful way to use things so when this little idea popped into my head I just played around just to see how it would turn out. The flowers are all my own creations, some vector drawn and coloured whilst the pink daisy types are made using Cassel’s petal font and then shaded like she has shown us. All the petals and middles were quite flat, no bevel used just shading which gives them shape. I find that bit quite magical the way it transforms an object into a dimensional look.

I have used my discount and bought some more Scripts which are love thank you Cassel. Anyway, I have been playing with my goodies and made a couple of ribbons and then used the weaving script, changed colours and blended etc just to see what i can create. Anyway, I made a basket from altering a preset shape, used tubes I have made recently and long ago to produce this master piece. TFL.

Thank you Christina. I actually was playing as you do and what I did was to select a circle, paste into selection. Then when I decided to do something with them as they looked pretty bare. I selected one, contracted by a fair amount and then feathered it before going effects, brightness contrast and lightening the edge slightly to give that beveled look. I suppose I could have got the same effect if I had just used the bevel tool but I was so pleased with my experiment I did it to them all. Sometimes my papers needs to be ‘roughened up’ a bit and I love to use texture to make it look grungy and a bit more plausible to my eye.

Thank you April and Dawn. We looked at the remains of this castle this year and its only in the next county to us and was well worth visiting even if the old stone spiral staircase is a bit of a challenge to climb, the vista view at the top is wondrous. I don’t know how many members belong here but seems only a few of us participate with the challenges but from little Acorns big Oak trees grow so maybe others will take the plunge and join in. Keep up the good work.

Thank you April, I try I really do as I struggle a bit with composition, not knowing what goes best with what, trying to make it balance without looking like I am making a pizza. Even when I make a real mini book it takes ages to get the cover right.
The flower I extracted from a photo as I love to ‘tube’ stuff when I can and flowers get done more than other things.
I have more filters than I will ever use but Filter Forge is one of my favourites and I love the way it can tone down or make an interesting pattern out of a creation, especially if it is a bit not to your liking to begin with. Try it, you will get hooked.
I also like to use my own or safe to use stuff so that I don’t get tangled up in all that copyright minefield.

Thank you Christina. The cookie i made from a tut but I agree, Cassels script for them would be a good purchase and time saver.However, I just enjoy making things.

Here is my go at this. I used some of Cassels scripts to make it a bit easier. The tubes are my own and I used Filter Forge on most of the papers which again were my own creations. I also used Photo Zoom to resize it to 1000 x 1000 px for here but have kept the full 3600 x 3600 px for personal use.
Anyway, thanks for the challenge Cassel.

Lovely pieces of artwork being done. So good to see peeps getting involved and inspired and showing what they have learnt from Cassel etc. I have yet to do something but have got involved with looking at all my stored photo’s for this challenge so may be down memory lane for quite a while before I come back to do something. Well done everybody, love all the layouts.

Lovely Card April, i am sure the recipient will love it.
Cassel you excel once again and dazzle with your cleverness. Will have a go at this later.

Thank you April. I still think you are talented as the painting is fabulous and well done.
i agree it is lovely to see works being done and maybe we might see others get inspired and show us their productions too.

Lovely work everyone. I too love the robin and a great gift you have April, wish I could paint and draw but my gift from god was craft-work. Anyhow, here’s my go at this and I am using a photo I took from Chelsea flower Show in London a couple of years ago. I haven’t the info of who designed it but think it may have been a talented student of Art.
Thank you Christina.

I thought being as its Easter and can find nothing beginning with X relating to time that
X = Eggstra time…….. yes no…ok I will go and sit on the naughty step now.
Thank you Cassel and Christina. There are some great things being produced and lovely to see peeps being busy and making art. Christina, the cake didn’t last long and was yummy, oh so yummy. Must get back to the diet which has all but gone to pot.

Here is my go at this challenge. These are images of our citrus bushes in bloom at this moment in time and they have never had so much blossom on them as they have this year. I have picked the lemons and going to make a cake with them. They have been inside all winter to protect them from the cold. I thought I would share the images but unfortunately I can’t give you a share in the very fragrant and delightful perfume we are experiencing at the moment.
I used one of Cassel’s scripts to make a template as a staring point ( brilliant)and used open as a layer and clip to it scripts too. I made the background papers and messed around with the templates (stars and flowers). The button and eyelets were tubes that possibly came with PSP. Still trying to get the shadowing looking acceptable but I do have it all going in the same direction so that’s a start. Anyway, TFL.

G = Grandfather clock
B = Borrowed Time
Here are my before and after images. I used the Defin2, colour effect and sharpener raw to get the final effect. Really pleased with the result as it was scanned photo taken many years ago so it was in a fairly bad condition. Can’t believe how blond and blue eyed my little boy was then as his hair went quite dark as he got older. My daughter, who is the one digging, has the same colour hair now as then. Where has all the time gone.

Thank you from me too Cassel. I love filters and this one is brilliant.

V = Victory V’s. These were a sandy coloured lozenge that tasted like aniseed/liquorice and made your tongue go a bit numb. Lovely on a cold day though as a least your mouth felt hot.
S = Smarties.
L= Love Hearts, they had little messages embossed on them.
J = Jelly Babies ,didn’t like them myself as far too sweet.
E = Easter Eggs, big and full of chocolate. Yum
C= Coconut Ice.
Thank you Dianne.
Ooops. I thought I already did U, went a bit wrong when running the alphabet through my brain but i have been poorly….
T= Thaw and hopefully a quick one for Cassel and anybody else marooned by snow.
