Oh, I do like that too. I agree about how it looks like lace. So pretty.
Clever Sheila. That takes Cassel’s great script and makes it even more useful. Good job!
k = knot (as in wood or, maybe, to tie things together)
j = jamb or joint
Sheila, that is so dainty….love it! Appreciate you sharing it. Dianne
i = insulation
Welcome to the group, Helene. Your three birds scrapbook page is so very charming. Thank you for sharing.
g = glazier, glass, glue…woo, lots of words with g.
e = epoxy or electrical extensions
a = alcove or awl
Congratulations, Sue! Well deserved recognition.
Cristina…that’s a delightful use of Cassel’s tutorials. Good job!
I thought Judy’s photograph was a nice addition to demonstrate what a Xeriscape garden looks can look like. And I think a skipped letter here and there is no big thing. I hope you both come out of the dog house and enjoy this first day of autumn.
We need a y…..
oh, I’ll do something easy.
Y is for yard where the zinnias can be planted. 🙂
x = Xeriscape
s – sprinkler, shovel, spade
Sue, I keep forgetting to comment. I love that photo from between your horse’s ears….it gives an extra element to that sweeping view beyond. The colors are quite lovely together and I also like the use of the gold chains. A nice idea gives a little extra sense of visual movement to the whole. Well done. Thank you for sharing.
r = rain barrel (important in my drought stricken state) and rototiller
o – organic – my mother was an organic gardener
I combined Cassel’s script for making a triangles background with the flashcard. What I love about Cassel’s scripts is that they are so flexible…I can happily combine patterns and gradients as well as using plain colors. Makes it so versatile.
Here’s an odd thing. I cannot seem to load a graphic directly to Pinterest but if I upload it elsewhere, including this thread, then I can pin it to the boards. Rather a crazy thing, isn’t it? Seems to defeat the point of Pinterest if anyone else is having the same problem.
n = native plant or nursery grown
m = mulch
I = irrigation
g = garden (doh), graft, germinate
Ah, Sue, so nice done. Like the idea of the transition in one photo. You’re right about the fledglings…I would have thought that was one photo if you hadn’t written anything about the blending. Lovely.
That’s really cute. Those look like pretty happy workers.
I haven’t tried posting anything on Pinterest lately…sounds as if it may still be acting up. I hope they are working on resolving the issues.
e = earthworms, valuable assistants to creating rich earth for the plants to grow in
Did you all know that Poser (the software) was originally invented to give artists a way to have models when live people weren’t available? The first figure were like the smooth wooden ones you can still find in art stores. The idea was that the figures could be posed individually or in combination, without or without props, with or without shadows, with various lighting effects to give a reference for drawings or painting. The figures were in the same proportions as an ideal human figure…the exaggerated heads and bodies came in later when fantasy figures became popular and Poser/Daz came into their own as an outlet for creativity (including the ability to do animations within the software). There are free models available on Renderosity and some other places…not quite as much available as there used to be but a way to start if you can’t afford to buy extras for Poser/Daz Studio. I don’t use Poser anymore but it is a very interesting program, and has gotten much more realistic over time.
c = cultivate
So glad you posted here…these are the two that Pinterst has been playing hide-and-go-seek with, aren’t they? Very nicely done. I have a special place in my heart for dog related scrapbooks.
