Val – Yours is awesome. Good thinking putting the one pic utilizing all the boxes. Lovely use of color with the matching pinks making a stand out statement. Love it all around. 🙂
Tried a different one … still whimsical.
Thanks Bonnie … Certainly just a simple one but I happened to be looking at pictures of mice at the time so used some. I did see one picture that said “the early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese!” I laughed at that as it’s pretty true! I think I will try another that’s a bit more complicated.
I love sketch challenges. This one is just simple and whimsical. You might get the idea that I like mice and let me tell you I do NOT! Thankfully, I haven’t seen any here in Florida. Sure, I know they are probably out there lurking somewhere, but as long as they lurk far away from me we will live on peaceably. Let one try and come in the house and I will turn into their worst nightmare until he is gone to his lofty reward. I can be more tenacious than a cat when it comes to mice. However, if you look at pictures of them, they are darn cute. I will admit that.
Lynda – Those were all utterly fascinating! I was transfixed with wonder at the skill there! I am sure it displays from some very specialized programming, but the whole idea of thinking them up and the skill necessary in bringing them to fruition is awesome. It might not have been PSP related, but thank you for sharing! Loved it!
I FINALLY had my first Covid shot yesterday. I planned on not doing anything today … just in case. But happy to say not a darn thing happened. My arm isn’t even sore. Happy camper with that! I was fooling around with some of the “freebies” Carole offers on her blog and one of them was the Projections. She kindly did not merge them … and the summer one sang to me as the blue was the “Grabber Blue” of Mustang fame. If you have ever owned a Mustang, you will always be sorry you parted with it. I’ve had other sporty cars, but that Mustang lives on in my heart. If only I knew how I would miss it. I love her word frame round script, too. Mindless playing and remembering the old days. 🙂
Another very simple one using the Baby Olivia font and a bit of filter forge … they had great shamrocks! A bit of green overload. LOL
X = Xanacious … as I am for Covid-19 to behind us!
I had these fonts already … from CF. Made a simple one with the StyllLove
Q is for Quarantine … something we all KNOW a little about!!!!
I think that many of us in this pandemic are constantly reminded of all the things we SHOULD be mindful of AND all the things that still make us truly blessed even though we may be somewhat isolated. I try to stay grounded, but I do think it’s hard sometimes – for everyone!
Shirley – I have really enjoyed all your pages! You’ve been hard at work with them and it totally shows. What treasures they will be for them to keep.
Karon …what a gorgeous post. I have to admit, I didn’t know the song so went to listen at YouTube. :o) Everything about that works … the colors, the sentiment, it’s really nice.
Laurie … whatever you learned is sure working for you as that’s a wonderful page!! Glad you shared.
Just playing with a script I downloaded from Carole’s arsenal this morning for stitched letters … combined with the bubble effect (but I only wanted one bubble) and theme all rolled into one. I don’t really practice meditation because I have never had any training whatsoever in it … and I read that many people without training (because there are so many different types of meditation) can actually have a bad experience where it drums up bad thoughts, actions, or remembrances. So I don’t really dally in that … no mantras or anything. But I do set aside a few minutes each day to have a quiet contemplative time. I feed the birds and sit and watch them, think pleasant thoughts and try to reflect on all the wonderful offerings of life. That’s why I call it my rest, relax and restore time. Think good thoughts. But I don’t call it meditation. It works for me – kind of calming.
Absolutely great work on these quilling items, Lynda. Beautiful renditions. I can see where they would be wonderful elements on specific layouts. My Mom was a quilling superstar. But then again, I don’t think there was anything she couldn’t master. Wish I had paid more attention back when! 🙁
K for Kindness. In this world where you can choose to be anything you want … the two best are kind and honest. They shine on the receiver and reflect back on you in only good ways.
Gorgeous, Michele. Do I see some Instant Effects in there or maybe a wee bit of Filter Forge? Anyway, they are all beautiful, calm and serene in looks. I love them all.
I head toward the jacuzzi … might even take a glass of wine. There’s a big tv in there and I turn on something relaxing.
Awesome, Lynda! Love them! Not sure what we are supposed to do with them … but they are fun to do! Your’s are lovely. Especially that pink floral!
A is for aspirin … for all the little pains and headaches.
A bit different mandala … computer chip. That script is very fun to play with …
B ~ Boxes! Oh how I love to get boxes! During this pandemic, unfortunately my garage was inundated with boxes as I did just about everything online! I think I knew all of the Amazon delivery folks on a first name basis!
I gave it a try, too … but in a backended sort of way. Seeing as how it was the same mandala, I thought it ought to look a wee bit different.
I am not a “scrapbook-er” as you all have probably deduced by now … LOL … but I do so love to try stuff and also to SEE where everyone else went with it. Some of you long time folks on here are, quite frankly, fun to watch – as you often generously tell how you got your result. Also because you are all so gracious in handing out complimentary remarks even when improvement could be made. I think that is what I like so much about being here. The learning process is ALWAYS filled with improvements needed. That’s all throughout life, I think. Nobody is ever perfect and one should never quit learning. But to find a place that’s rich in talent and long in compliment is a joy and well worth the price of admission! There are tons of uses for PSP besides scrapbook or tags, and I have a little niche in that where I plunk myself. This has been a great way to learn in a fun environment. I must admit, I also tune in to loads of the YouYube webinars on tv. Great thing about that, too, is the ability to go back and watch something over and over again … or even watch on the computer and have the ability to do a quick screenshot of the settings so you can log them with a technique. You can even see our Carole there. 🙂 I truly enjoy all of you and it’s always a treat to come online and as Annie T says … “take a peek!”.
I love castles … and if I ever get to Europe I want to see as many as I can! Europe has so much more “history” than we do. Not that we don’t have some of our own … but theirs is so much more documented and visible. I am envious of that. 🙂 Who wouldn’t want to see that?
Yule-tide Yield ~ Mail at the Post Office is astronomical at Christmas time. Even in this age of internet.
A while back I bought a new box of paperclips for my desk. I believe it had 250 or so in it. I poured them into a decorative bowl and put them on my desk. Then I started to sew and needed better light, so moved the machine to my desk. Not thinking, I reached for a pin (they were also poured into a decorative bowl) I hit the paper clip bowl by accident and it flew off my desk and proceeded to scatter those paper clip seven ways to Sunday. I never knew paper clips could fly all around a room like that!
Took me forever to pick them up. Have never put them on my desk since. You want a paper clip now, you have to go to the bottom drawer and open the box! LOLI always make it a point to play with Carole’s freebie patterns she offers so generously. Today I was playing with the Line Patterns she sent out yesterday. Oh my gosh, I had so much fun with those. I found, also, that when you make a color pattern with them and flood fill a bg … and then pop it in just like you were going to do a lino bg .. but only give it once or twice in the pattern distort .. it alters the pattern once again. I even made the ribbons with it and made the pattern really small. Not the best display of them … but just for display purposes I put pictures of puzzles we’ve recently done. Another pandemic pass time! Eyes just won’t let me sit here all day before they rebel.
I haven’t played much lately – have had obligations here, but I looked at everyone else’s works and am always impressed with everyone’s posts. ALWAYS!
Oops. Got away from me before I added the pic! I hope it’s not an indicator of how the day will go! LOL
Another simplistic attempt at the tarnished trumpet colors … I kind of like them. Very earthy.
I’ve had company for the past three/four days. They’ve gone home now but I am too tired to make anything. I sure have enjoyed looking at all your works though. Always something inspiring to gander at! Think it’s an early night for me! zzzzzzz
