A = Aluminium Frame
Minka what a interesting page about snakes! For the Netherlands snakes are not very common and we have only 3 spieces of them. Only one of them is poisonous for small animals, but for humans it is not dangerous. I have only once seen one young snake in our garden, called a “ringslang” which is a grass snake.
I have made a completely other LO and stuck to my wild flower theme that I use this year. I made an ode to the humble dandelion from its beginning to the seeds flying through the air. I hope it is visable in the resized form.
Karon thank you for your comments, much appreciated!
Q = Quilted Frame , many years ago I made a such frame from leftovers of a quilt I made.
O = Over the top frames
Normally I start with a photo and choose then my papers, colors, elements. So this challenge presented me with a real “challenge”. But here it is; I used all the papers but toned some of the colors down with the blend mode. Made a frame out of the scalloped paper and found a matching border by the same maker of this freebie kit. The photo was taken last week on a walk on a little estate not far from where we live.
F = Furry frame as you see for kids
B0nnie thank you and I already have signed up at Creative Fabrica and very often download their weekly and dayly freebies, it is a great site.
Annie glad you liked it, it took me some time to get that frame right, but in the end I got what I had in mind.
Sue great photo again, I envy your patience…..
I continue the country theme. This is Switserland and I had to make it from scratch, I couldn’t find a template, but in a holiday bbrochure I found the outline and used that to make the four masks where I put the alpine flowers. The background is a photo and the border is made from a ribbon which I decorated with the little flowers and then the mitered corner script. A bow in the colors of their flag. This LO is for my daughters mother-in-law who loved my Holland LO; I will print it and send it to her.
W = Wood, or Wooden Frame
I made this for Mother’s Day and in memorie of my mom. I used a forget-me-not theme because this little flower is the symbol of the Alzheimers Association, at least over here. All the flowers you see are from Chantahlia Design. I made a bunch of flowers and a picture tube with them The frame is a freebie from Carole which I gave a blue color to match my theme. I have the monogram characters are Voktoria Monogram and the font is Garamond.
I very much agree with all said above. It is nice to know a little bit more of the art media tools but I doubt if I shall use them often. I have not yet come up with something that I like or is even close to presentable, but I’ll give it another try.
Annie thank you. Praise coming from you means a lot to me and I confess it was a bit of a struggle to bring all these scripts together in 1 LO. I’m liking to be able to make my own supplies and not make do with what I have downloaded, although having said that I do like collecting stuff for future use when I come across something nice…..
I’m playing and learning how to use the goodies I bought with the birthday sale and also those I got for my own birthday. I used wordslats, ribbon factory, soft bow, eyelet, quick scallops, decorative stitching and edge punches. The background is made with the colors of my photo and the kaleidoskop. The word LENTE means spring, Now I have to try the others I have. T0 be continued…..
Lynda, lovely and just like Ann the purple is my favourite too because of the colors.
Annie great work with your bags! Hope you will find a way to use a corner punch once in a while. I love them and use them frequently.
I = iron frame
Annie, nice……. I’m going to see how I can use all the scripts etc that I bought on Caroles birthday sale. With the work on the double take challenge I didn’t had much time left to play around with them. There are other duties in my life too.
Bonnie alerted me to a template with the outline of my country when I commented on one she did of Florida and I immediately bought it. This is the result. I used some photos of bulbs, because we are famous for our bulbs and also made a little bunch of tulips with a soft bow in the colors of our flag. The orange frame is made with the mitered cornerscript; orange is our national color. The word Holland also in red, white and blue and some color punches. Enjoy my tribute to my country!
B = Brown, there used to be a lot of brown frames around in the older days
And I agree too, all is said that should be said.
Lynda, despite the tragedy the photos of that family gadering looks great.
At the start of this challenge I thought that there would be 7 days of making double pages, but in the end it were 6. I had the feeling that there was an open end to my project, so I made one page extra. Now I can make a book with this project and some more including the Love Challenge.
S = Shark
Thank you Lynda. Jnet I like the trip you made very much and I hope to see some of it for real in the future as we can travel again!!!!
This is the result of day 6 with the color purple. I made the background following the tutorial but used a blend mode or the color choose. Carole’s latest freebie alpha was perfect. I bought the script, but haven’t had the chance to play with it. I had no beads so I used a string with some “flowers” with the date on them. And I couldn’t end without a quote like on all the other days.
What I discovered: overhere we do not have many flowers with red in springtime. I did have blue ones, but not so much as the whites and pinks.
I haven’t been here in a while, busy with the Double Take Challenge, but there is so much going on. Way to much to comment on each one. It was a pleasure to see it all. I too have bought al lot of things from Carole’s birthday sale and have yet to learn to use them all. All in good time!
Michele, I know what a misery it is when your computer dies on you. I’m only just recovering from that same experience a couple of weeks ago. And it is a hell of a job to get everything working again just as you like it. I’m almost there now. So good luck and patience.
Wow Ann what a wedding story!
Monique a lovely way to show us all the pets you have had over the years!
Carole, I indeed tried a darker background on day 4 with all the whites, but I found it to dark, jut a personal preference. I was careful not to put text in the middle, as you pointed out earlier. I certainly will make an album.
Here is day 5 and the color is lilac. The panorama is of a meadow and some of the flower photos are shots from that meadow. I extracted the butterfly from one of the photos (not very well, sorry) and used it as an embellishment because the layout missed something.
My day 4. This day the color is white because that gave me the opportunity to use a lot of photos In Spring there are overhere many flowers in that color. I was waiting if there would come this chance. I took the background color of one of the photos with Texture effects – Texture + some noise (50%). As with the other days I didn’t give all the names of the individual flowers, that would be way to much text.
I like all the work that’s done, but Annie your birds are so colorfull, love it.
Here is my day 3 and the color of today is pink. I did alter the slats because in this way they went better with my photos but I have kept the balance. I also put a quote on it because I plan to do that on every day to keep a kind of continuity. Probably I will do as Carole suggested an make a printed book with a number of projects I made in this last year and this will certainly in it.
I = Iguana
My Day 2 Double page. I intend to use my theme “The colors of spring” for every day of this challenge because I simply like to work with a theme. Day one was green and this day is yellow. I used fewer slats otherwise they became to thin for the my photos. I have a lot of photos of flowers and still making more. So this is a good opportunity to show them. Hopefully this time I upload this in the right order.
I like all the work done and again so different while using the same starting point.
I forgot to mention that the word spring is by Sue Thomas, she generously gave it to us to use, thanks again Sue.
Carole, You are referring to an answer I gave Ann about the travel challenge of last year that had those doouble pages too. Here is my work of day 1 of this challenge and no problems I’m just a bit behind but we had such lovely weather overhere and that will only last for a day. So I was outside making photos etc.
