Hi all, I decided to do this challenge at the last minute so am behind a bit. I will try to present some crocheting and knitting my wife does for an organization called, “Angels Four Warmth”. The finished items are distributed to places and people in need.
I just did one of the two. – HenryApril 20, 2021 at 11:53 am #56823Raymond Easley

This is my Day 1. I abandoned the idea of creating my own template and figured out how to download the free one. I didn’t realize the Template name was a download link. This was easy once I had a real template to follow. I will try again at a later time to create my own template. All of the photos are mine, and the poetry is original poetry written by my daughter Melissa Shaw.April 20, 2021 at 2:25 pm #56829
Sue mentioned and shared pages she created in 2018. I checked to see what my folders held and I discovered that I had completed the challenge but I don’t think I shared them. Nothing has been resized…so…I will share both…2018 and 2021. So far, I have completed only Day 1 for 2021.
These are from 2018. Fewer pictures of Penny because I had not had her long.April 20, 2021 at 2:27 pm #56832
From my recent trip to Port St. Lucie, Florida…Pickleball, of course.April 20, 2021 at 3:53 pm #56835Ann SeeberParticipant
Ok, my turn. I finally did the first assignment. Don’t have as much time nowadays with the theater open. Here’s my granddaughter Jackie’s bridal shower from early April. I have a lot of photos so didn’t do much with the second page at all except for a floppy bow. I used a bit of lace this time, unusual for me but that’s my Jackie. *love*
If you peek hard at the 2nd page in the middle you’ll glimpse the bridegroom who arrived at the end with an enormous bouquet of flowers for his honey. 🙂April 20, 2021 at 3:55 pm #56836
Bonnie I love your kitties, and I always enjoy your PickleBall Layouts. Do your kitties travel with you?April 20, 2021 at 4:12 pm #56842
Great work, Everyone! It is amazing how different each page can be using the same template.
Laurie, Poppy and Penny are so afraid of everything…they yowl and yowl when in a car. That’s how we know if they are really sick…they don’t yowl. I would love to take them places but it wouldn’t work. I’ll just have to love them at home. Last time I was away it was for 8 days. They were glad when I returned…for about 10 seconds…then it was back to normal.
Thank you for you comments.
Raymond, Key West is on my list…never been there…maybe one day.
Laurie, beautiful photos and one very talented daughter!
Jean and Ann, you have beautiful families…and lots of fun too, I’ll bet.April 20, 2021 at 4:17 pm #56843
Barbara, Lacrosse is one game/sport I haven’t tried. Wish I had had the opportunity when I was younger. I think it is great that you grandson plays!
Sandra, love your colors…great kids!
Corrie, love your colors too…Both pages pop!
Sue, what can I say…your pages are awesome! I have visited Maine several time and never seen a moose…barely missed one once…but missed him nonetheless.
Ann, your vacation looks like it was tons of fun…great layout!April 20, 2021 at 4:19 pm #56844Gerry LandrethParticipant
Here is Day 1. The pictures in the ovals are my nieces. There are two pictures of each of their kids in chronological order.
We have big birthdays this year. In addition to the new addition, three are reaching milestones – 6, 10, and 13. One of the others turns 12 and has already started counting the days to 13. Noah turns four which means age is irrelevant as long as there are presents.April 20, 2021 at 4:24 pm #56847sandra jones
I had more difficulties today with trying to switch templates around and thankfully Carole is great with replying fast to questions. She told me about her script which is called “Switch It All”. I was very thankful that not only was it free but a definite time saver.
The template is called In Pieces by Connie Prince. She makes some of the nicest templates. The kit I used was called ‘Genuine Boy’ by JSS.April 20, 2021 at 5:38 pm #56853Corrie KinkelParticipant
Carole, You are referring to an answer I gave Ann about the travel challenge of last year that had those doouble pages too. Here is my work of day 1 of this challenge and no problems I’m just a bit behind but we had such lovely weather overhere and that will only last for a day. So I was outside making photos etc.April 20, 2021 at 5:39 pm #56854Corrie KinkelParticipant
I forgot to mention that the word spring is by Sue Thomas, she generously gave it to us to use, thanks again Sue.April 20, 2021 at 6:00 pm #56856
This is my Day 2. It was much easier to make a template for Day 2. I think Day 1 was too complicated, with too many parts! This was easy to create, and after creating the template, I used Filter Forge to give me a rain effect, in the background. These are some of my favorite rainy day pictures and another one of Melissa’s poems.

Cindy, did you download the template? Did you open the zip file? Once you open it in PSP, do you see the layers?April 20, 2021 at 6:23 pm #56863Anne LampParticipant

Day 2. I kept in keeping with the previous pages. As the Moose is also a hoofed mammal, and the largest member of the deer family. Here are a few more of my visitors. This female antelope has her fawns in the horses field, she has done so for many years. Plenty of tall grass for the fawn to hide, and ample lush green feed.
Bonnie, thank you ever so much for your kind comment on my Moose page.April 20, 2021 at 7:15 pm #56875Sue ThomasParticipant
Fantastic work everyone, every page is different, and tells a different meaningful story. Someone posted a La Crosse page, now I can’t find it. Anyway, I played La Crosse during my grammar school days. When my daughter took an interest in polocrosse in pony club, I joined in, Rachael went on to compete in that sport at an intermediate level. Those were fun years. Polocrosse is a combination of polo and lacrosse.April 20, 2021 at 10:31 pm #56878Annie TobinParticipant
Hello Scrapbook Campus. I am a little behind as I got caught up doing a few things with my sister yesterday … that’s family for ya! 🙂 This is the Australian Galah … very common here and much loved. The western Australian galah has slightly paler colours to that of the eastern bird but still have that beautiful pink and grey combination. Thanks for takin a peek!April 20, 2021 at 10:51 pm #56879CasselKeymaster
Barbara, that double page looks great!!! You added various elements to tie everything together and tweaked the template for a real custom look.
Jean, you seemed to have worked this template quite quickly to complete a very interesting project. And you are not alone re-learning details here and there. We all do!
Henry, that is a great project that your wife is working on and it is lovely for you to showcase it! Interesting to see you rotated the template on its side. Same template, completely different look!
Raymond, what did you use to create those edges around the photos? It is fun to have not-so-straight edges!
Laurie, when one has many photos to display, using templates are often time savers! Glad that you reverted to using a pre-made template. Don’t worry, you will get to make your own templates later. Oh, that rainy background give such an elegant look at that page!!!
Bonnie, I am a cat lover so I am happy to see that “older” layout! I think I will always associate that blue color to your pickleball layouts!!!
Ann, isn’t that a simple and quick way to display all those photos!?
Gerry, that is such a good idea to gather everyone in the family under one “layout”!
Sandra, that is a great demonstration on using a single-page template and “doubling” it!
Corrie, it is so interesting how you grouped the individual sections. I had to look twice to realize if you were using the same template!
Anne, are you using your own photos that you masked?
Sue, that looks like you are going to have a very elegant album. Maybe you could contact National Geographic with all those superb shots and displays!
Annie, those are such beautiful birds! I had never seen those! You make us discover a fauna that is so unique!!!April 21, 2021 at 2:03 am #56882
Well here is day 2. I decided to go with mostly landscape photos because I don’t have many that are suitable to portrait ones, let alone long skinny ones. I enjoyed setting it up and decided on using a striped paper as a background and just flipped it horizontally for the 2nd page. And thanks Carole for fixing my problem this morning.April 21, 2021 at 8:43 am #56892Gerry LandrethParticipant
Day 2 features a trip to Cathedral Grove in Muir Woods in San Francisco. It was a moving experience.
REVISION: I added a ledge for the squirrel. He is not the same species as Rocky, The Flying Squirrel, and it bothered me that he was just hanging in the air. I uploaded the full layout which shows the change.

I stayed up tonight hoping Day 3 email would come in before I needed to go to bed, so once it arrived I got stuck right in. Not sure the 3 photos on the left all go together, but they were all taken at the same place, Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin. Really enjoying this challenge.April 21, 2021 at 12:50 pm #56905
Hello, I redid my day 1 project. I realized after that I had completed half the assignment. Here is the completed work.April 21, 2021 at 12:58 pm #56906
Carole, Further to my Day 1 submission. I was not sure how I would attach a double page,( you probably cover that in the following days) but after trial and error I started with a 3600×7200 canvas and tried to paste thr Left and Right pspimages to the canvas then it occurred to me that jpg images is what I use with my projects and Wala it worked or at least I think. It probably is different and I will learn. HenryApril 21, 2021 at 1:05 pm #56907
Wow! The creativity continues to excel…I love every layout!
Yes, Carole, I use that blue often…I take it from the pickleball court…and it doesn’t hurt that blue is my favorite color!April 21, 2021 at 2:15 pm #56912Jnet AllardParticipant
Corrie, very colorful and pretty. I love the addition of the colored buttons at the bottom.
Sue, beautiful! I love what you have and how lucky you are to be able to approach them that way.
Sandra, pretty photos, pretty spring colors
Barbara, nice sports page, I like the way to place your elements
