Created an elf card for Sonya. I would have preferred to have all the alphas the same green/white pattern, but I couldn’t figure out how to change them. I was successful in changing the colors in the decorative topper to match the alphas. Used the new bells picture tubes and discovered all the shadows were on the left, so I flipped the layer they were on. Luckily, I noticed! My favorite Icelandic troll/gnome keeps following me… 😉
Here are my three frames for the challenge; two for Christmas and one for winter using my Iceland kits. I will zip and email them to you, Carole/Cassel.
Trish: I like your Elf card. I find the alpha very interesting, even displayed upside-down. 😉
Did you make it or is it from a kit?
Oh, everyone is making such gorgeous frames! Sheila and Betsy, they are outstanding! I’ll have to look into doing some up, myself. Thanks for the inspiration.
O = Overstock Sale!
Oops, it looks like I used the same frame, Corrie! Sorry. This is a little card I made with the holiday window and a photo of Banksy art with the “happy” theme.
Thanks to Sue Thomas for the inspiration and apologies to Clement Moore, the poet.
Ah, there it is! Success!! 😉
Cassel/Carole: Can’t see the palette. Can it be emailed? Or post it on Facebook and it can be copied from there.
A new flock of visitors has settled in for the winter …
Here’s another snowy frame, with forest animals and a wreath
Here’s my snowy window. All my embellishments are from my Iceland giant kit.
I’m on a roll here! Here are The Beatles illustrating the December Word Challege / HAPPY.
I did a Google search for Happy and came up with The Beatles with the John Lennon quote. I added the dancing photo, poster and 45 record. I had their logo from a previous layout. The background uses the cass-Scalloped Primary pattern treated to a kaleidoscope effect over a blue background and then multiplied. The font is Bahnschrift.
D = Down Payment
Just a cross-post from Word of the Month: HAPPY
I used the Pharrell Williams song HAPPY for my theme. The photos are from the music video on YouTube which I put in the filmstrip template I already had. I reproduced the background from the HAPPY logo at the top to fill the rest of the layout. I used the Multiply effect on the photo of Williams at the bottom. I decorated the lyrics with cut out corners using my eraser.

Carole gave us a new template for December and at the same time my daughter sent a bunch of Christmas photos of my great-grand Sonya. Here’s Sonya, waiting for Santa. I had lots of Christmas clipart and I love using these gnomes. I added more embellishments than were called for on the template. The title font is called Horror Story but I thought it looked snowy. The background papers were all from my stash. Now to send it out on the family chatline. 😉
Next project: Creating a new template. I spotted this layout on one of my fishy Facebook groups and asked the owner wat software she used. She said it was a little app in her mobile phone!? So I downloaded the graphic and made my own template from it. Featuring my fishy, Blue the Betta, of course, and his tankmate, Roomba, the Nerite snail.

Cassel’s Dec 3 Surprise: Frosty Frame. I used a photo of one of my Irish Wolfhounds in the snow, applied the frame and then applied a second frame called “window,” which left me room for a title. Thanks, Carole!

Starting off with my 2021 December Desktop Calendar. It resides on my desktop monitor and changes daily as I mark off the previous day. Photo by Ed Frampton used with permission.
The tropical fish Facebook group called Aquarium Antics put out a call for a holiday header contest so I submitted this. The background art is from a site that offers free wallpapers and I just added the word in Showcard Gothic font filled with a gold gradient
Carole/Cassel: The Awareness Ribbon has gone THREE rounds already, not two as your Campus Update indicated. And Michelle: sorry but we’ve finished all three and don’t need an extra Z. 😉
Here are the graphics for all three rounds:
Advocating for one of my favorite issues. The posters will probably not be readable so I’ll post them separately, also.
I followed Pirkko’s lead and used one photo for all the spaces. Changed the flowers to fall colors and added some leaves. the title is an alpha called Farm Fresh and the rest of the text is the font Valentina filled with a fall gradient.
Carole/Cassel: Sounds like a good idea. I will try it out and let you know how I make out. Thanks!
Carole/Cassel: I’m not sure where I acquired the desktop size calendar for 2021 that I posted above for November. The template file has all the months. This was in addition to the Up-To-Date Calendar which is larger and vertical. The desktop full size is only 1250 x 759 which is perfect for my monitor. I just looked in my Calendar Templates folder and found this for 2022, though it is kinda large, I can resize it. It doesn’t have the boxes to mark up like the Desktop one does. Just thinking about it, I may be able to revise the dates in 2021 for 2022, hopefully, because I like its format better.

I’ve been using this as my desktop image for the month of November.
Cassel/Carole: Is this desktop calendar set available for 2022?
Monique: Yes, I know I’ve been dragging this wedding out but I have over 100 photos to showcase! The family calls it The Wedding of the Century!! 😉 Perhaps you missed this design in the Sketch Challenge?
I have another coming up in Sept 2022 but it promises to be smaller in comparison. *whew*
