Day 1

You are just starting, so we will go slow at first. Not too much work for you. Let's just get things set up properly.
DOWNLOAD your trial copy of PaintShop Pro, if you don't have one yet. You don't have to purchase it as you get 30 days to try it. That is more time than you need to go through the Bootcamp.

INSTALL PaintShop Pro (obviously). Don't worry, it is not complicated. Just double-click on the .exe file and follow the prompts.

CUSTOMIZE your PaintShop Pro. Corel allows you to arrange your workspace in many ways, to suit your own needs, your types of projects, and your personal preferences. Take advantage of that!
Watch the video below to see how I customized mine. You don't have to have an identical workspace, but at least, you know how it is going to look in the video tutorials later on.

If you are installing PSP2020, you will notice a third workspace called Photography. If you are installing PSP2021, there is also a fourth workspace called Sea-to-Sky. They were added in those versions and we will NOT address them in this Bootcamp, as we will work with the basic tools and commands that are present in all versions, but you are welcome to explore it later if you start editing a lot of photos.

Download your Cheat document about customizing your workspace.
You might also notice, later in the tutorials, that my Materials palette might be different. That is because I am using the Classic version (from older PSP) as I simply prefer it. HERE is a post about my own customizations too.

HOMEWORK

Go to the forum, and tell us what were your preferences as far as the color, and which palettes/toolbars are you keeping.

Also, post one photo that you are planning on using in the upcoming projects (remember to resize a copy of it to 600 pixels before posting it)

Enjoy our Christmas Countdown, from Dec 1 to 24.
