  1. DAY 2-DIAMOND TEMPLATE - THE AFRICAN LION The title font is Baby Olivia. For some reason my PSP is being strange with my font sizes. The reading text in this is down to font size 02! I did various re-starts and temp deletes but no help. It all wants to be HUGE! This is more from my Big Cat Calendar.
  2. TEMPLATES-DAY 2 - COUGAR - Photos from my Big Cat Calendar that Laurey gave me for Christmas. It was too small for my wall, so I pulled it apart and scanned the photos for digital use. The title font is Bernard MT. Learning useful techniques in this class. Thanks, Carole!
  3. Wow, Lynda, those Mardi Gras layouts are outstanding! I do like all the color and excitement you have captured. I was wondering if you would allow me to show them to my daughter, Deb, who lived in NOLA for years and whose husband was born and raised there. Lucky was a river pilot on the Mississippi and was almost as colorful as your photos! ;-)
  4. E for Ernie, my son-in-law who is the family's super mechanic and all-round Excellent guy! Auto photos from Google, wrench clipart from NicePNG, tire tracks are a picture tube, the Britannic Bold font is filled with a pattern I made from the asphalt under the Trans-Am, the photo layout is a cass-template that I cropped to print size.
  5. FESTIVAL: Annual Onion Festival in Pine Island, located in the Black Dirt farming region of Orange County, NY. Polish dancers, polka music and lots of onion gear. Our local polka celeb, Jimmy Sturr, hosts every year. I used the #7 bonus mask template again with two photos, Jimmy's poster and a couple of candids from previous fests.
  6. FESTIVAL - The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival is held in the Village of Saugerties, Ulster County, NY, a bit north and east of the Warwick Applefest. They usually fall on the same October weekend. The Garlic Fest is a two-day affair whereas the Applefest is just on the first Sunday in October. I've never attended the Garlic Fest personally. I had more fun making this layout using bits and pieces of art and info from their official website. The blue balloons are psptubes.

  7. FESTIVAL: Warwick was my hometown for over 40 years, and I attended the first Applefest in 1989. It was so successful that it seemed the whole world converged on my town! In subsequent years, we left town for the day. ;-D
  8. Still playing with masks, this is the Extra from #7 turned sideways. Instead of a jagged edge, I used the eraser tool with the shift key down to create the "scalloped" edge on the mask. This is my granddaughter and great-grandson last summer in my youngest daughter's pool. I love the color of the water and wanted to use it somehow in a layout. The background on the left is just a paper I had on hand and so is the lifesaver element. The smaller photos are just selected from the large one and mirrored. Once I was satisfied, I merged the small groups so I could apply subtle shadows. So, here's Ilana & Logan - Summer of '21.

Edit: Decided to revise the "lifesaver" graphic.

  9. D = DOC NYC is an annual documentary film festival in New York City. Co-founded by Thom Powers and Raphaela Neihausen, the festival is the country's largest documentary film festival with over 300 films and events and 250 special guests.
