  1. DAY 4 - SNOWY OWL - I used a gradient called Sunset for the background. The font is Mama. I was seeing a strange horizontal blinds texture on the background that I didn't apply. We'll see if it shows up here. -- Yep, I still see it. ??
  2. DAY 3 - CHERRY BLOSSOM ART by my daughter, Debbie Lennox. She said it's a "hand colored solar plate etching of the cherry blossoms" at her Big River Farm. Kaleidoscope pattern background over paper from "lou lou love stopover" kit. I put an extra mat behind the mask group in order to color the framing and hearts. The font is Copperplate Gothic Bold. (This font strongly resembles Debbie's handwriting because she had to learn proper labeling when she trained as an architect -- she still prefers doing it by hand.)

  4. Where are you posting these written instructions? Thanks for this.
  5. I just had to resurrect one of my favorite mask layouts from years past.
  6. Re-posting this for the challenge. It's one of the extra masks in the workshop. I totally did it over as square to match the frame. I went back and found the colors were restricted to 256 so I upped it.
  7. @Cassel : Not sure what a Cupidon is...is that French for Cupid? If you mean the Valentine PSP Frame, the program sizes it for your canvas but it does start out square. It seems I forgot those shadows you mentioned, also.

  9. Susan, Love the hairdos - please share the name of the stylist! ?
  10. I didn't see any instructions in French. I was referring to the template layers being labeled in French. I actually did use Google Translate to figure them out. LOL
  11. No, they were on the very first day's email so I assume everyone could read them.
  12. Another entry for Masks-Day 2 - An exhausted Barred Owl sleeping off a busy night. ? Photos by Dan Tooker. Background pattern Tibetan Grasscloth Spice. Vole from a .png site. I cribbed the staple from Day 1.

  14. Rene: That template mostly drove me crazy because everything was labeled in French and I didn't know a layer from a mask! ?
  15. Top Center: Red morph Screech Owl; left: Short Eared Owl; Center: Barred Owl; Right: Great Horned Owl. Snowy background photo courtesy of Sue Thomas.
  16. My entry for Day 2 - using the alternative template. My grandson and family's vacation photos from Costa Rica. The title was included on their photo so I copied it and applied the plaid background to match. I did move the small photos to the left.

  18. Carole, I noticed the written-out directions for Day 1 do NOT include the step to De-Float. That may have been the source of my difficulties.
  19. One of the extras from Day 1 - a photo of great-grand Magic, font is Cabin Sketch, frame was a Corel freebie from a past year. Magic was proud of finishing a Bluey puzzle. Edit: I changed the mask to the colors of the February Palette.
  20. DAY 1 - OWLS OF THE HUDSON VALLEY
  21. Great-grand Logan Robert turned 2 on Feb 6 and there was a Toy Story themed party yesterday (Sat Feb 11). I used a template from Marisa Lerin. I found the Toy Story art online and the balloons were from a baby kit, which I duplicated and colorized. Logan's brother is due this June. He is slate to be Jonah James.
