  1. That camera looks great for my oldest greats but unfortunately Amazon says it can't be shipped to me here in NY. Perhaps it's just for Canada? I don't know....
  2. Julie, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss; doubly because I had a similar situation that kept me frozen on Lesson 1 also. Perhaps, together , we can explore those pesky nodes and enjoy the rest of the lessons in our own time. Take care. ?
  3. A = A Brief History of the Tooth Fairy
  4. Happy August! Here is my August Wild Cat Calendar for 2023. The layout is from a template shared by Cassel last fall. The photo of the leopard is by a photographer from Sri Lanka named Andreas Hemb. The photo frame and the title strip are enhanced by the Effects/Sculpture with a leopard pattern. The chipboard camera art and label is from a mega kit called Cambodia by Marisa Lerin. The bottom title font is Yellow Fresh and the Say No brad was created from a brad template from Pixelscrappers. The calendar grid and lines for notes were treated to a gold gradient and I filled the background with a silver gradient. I also posted this full size in our Facebook files.
  5. I went to the site and my anti-virus Webroot said that the newest version was a problem but it let me download the previous one. So we'll see how it helps.
  6. I'm rubbing my eyes looking for butterflies on Susan's layout. All I can find are birds.... ??? (Or did Google Translate goof up? lol)
  7. Introducing my Facebook group friend, Touhid Pasha, who just turned 23. I've chatted with him since he was 17. He's blossomed!?
  8. Hi Mary. Such a cute Dino! Do you mean you do a Copy Special/Copy Merged? I do that all the time with a pspimage if I want to put it together with a layout.
  9. I was playing with Cassel's freebie tag and came up with this
  10. Beautiful, Michele! I especially like the podium you created with, I assume, vectors. This layout is the winner!
  11. LOL I seem to have the same affliction! Still trying to gear up to finish Lesson 2. ?
  12. I had that problem in the past, James, and found that increasing the JPG compression did the trick. Carole had told me to use 22 but that seems to be best for Facebook or printing. For here, I had to increase it to 72 dpi.
  13. Anita, I am in the exact same boat as you. Still stuck on Lesson 2. I gave up several days ago and focused on other things. I think my brain needs a reset. I started out by going back to PSP2022 because '23 was very buggy with layers. I never had software problems with '22 so my vector woes must be me, not Corel, though this is the first workout it's getting with vectors, so we'll see. I intend to try a leaf or two and see what happens....
  14. Odd things here, also. After a power outage, all the breakers for just the washer/dryer in all the condo units (about 50) failed. The management sent out an email explaining how to "fix" it and I had to laugh at how many had no idea how to handle a breaker! (Chatted with the management later in the day when he came around to see if everyone was sorted out)
  15. Royanne, that's a really nice cutting board! (I collect cutting boards ? )
  16. Thanks for the commiseration, Susan! I've been in contact with Carole as to whether there's a bug in my PSP2022. I tend to think the bug's between my ears!
  17. I am struggling with Lesson #2 - my rectangle is misbehaving and I'm probably missing a step, maybe. I deleted my first attempt and even opened a new image but now when I draw my rectangle it appears with rounded corners! So, going with that, if I add the side node and attempt to stretch it out, the entire rounded rectangle moves over. And then, when I try again, nodes appear on all sides and corners... aarrgghh! I'm working in PSP 2022.
  18. Hi Linda, great to see you again. I missed you around the Campus! A shoulder replacement sounds scary! Hope your healing up is quick. ?
  19. Sue, this workshop is a bit unusual where we are not creating 3600x3600 scrap pages and also need reduced jpgs to post here so I was just asking Michele for a suggestion as to what she used, as a starting point, at least. I'm already following her suggestion of 3000 x 2000 for larger layouts intended to post on Facebook. That size eliminates FB's automatic addition of a color background to fill, which I had found annoying, myself.
  20. Michele, what size image do you start out with and what are the settings you use for the Grid? (Totally clueless about grids..)
  21. OK, I'll take the hint. Your arrow is similar to my first attempt but is SYMMETRICAL! That's what annoyed me about my own. So now I know to employ guides and maybe even grids, though I'm not used to using grids at all. (Another learning curve!) ?
  22. Oh, good. Your arrow looks just like what I achieved, which eventually turned into my "arrowhead" ? I definitely need more practice and putting up guidelines is a great suggestion!
  23. Now there's a good idea! I'll have to try your "breaking heart" Libera. I had a lot of trouble with the arrow, myself. As you can see, it ended up as an arrowhead??
  24. Here's my heart and my arrow(head) - aarrgghhh! These are difficult!
