  1. I like the tomato. Love the moth too. how about some pruning shears (since you have the quote "pruning is for suckers"), and maybe some seed packets for various tomatos, garden gloves, garden tools, plant pot with the tomato cage, or separate pot and cage, tomato planted in a plant pot and ymmy...a can of tomato soup. make it your own tomato soup. speaking of soup, I need to go eat.
  2. L = LOVE - when I think of my dad, I feel love
  3. Strap me to the roof!
  4. Looking forward to your layouts in the coming months. Good the hear your jet-lagged brain is back to normal. I really like that blue graphic overlayed on the photo.
  5. H = Handsome, of course, as all fathers are.
  6. I know, right? Sci-fi imagination, I get that.
  7. I love this layout Julie. The colors and blended/faded layers are so perfect with this photo. It's really well designed. I love old photos.
  8. You can be my guide Julie. And I can meet your animal menagerie.
  9. We had to do that too. It's amazing how much comes in the window and just how strong the smell is. It affects you so quickly.
  10. Ann that would be at top of my bucket list. I've met so many interesting wonderful people and would love to meet in person. Sounds like Julie is close by so we all decend on Carole....she might run when she see's us coming. ? Was your sun really red. We had that too, a couple weeks ago. It feels very apocalyptic doesnt it. One day when I go home from work there were no birds singing or even flying around and it was so eerie. Stay safe and keep that air filter going. My eyes and throat took a beating. I have some of my gym equipment in our small garage (we have two) and I felt really crappy after my workout, then I found out we werent supposed to be doing strenuous activities outside.
  11. I will for sure! a trip of the lifetime it would be.
  12. Wow I looked up where you live and it's beautiful. Shameful I couldn't picture where NB was in my head. What a great location, I bet there is a lot of historical buildings there. Looks like I'll put that on the bucket list of places to visit and photograph (when we retire).
  13. Bonnie that's beautifully done. Is that a bus in the lower right picture. I love tht one.
  14. Is that you up in the 1941 box? Beautiful layout and tribute to your father. i like the photos done that way and the background with the curled paper edge.
  15. I'm adding this layout here because it's June and I'm late for the May Scraplift Challenge. The background paper is made with effects>texture effects>texture>bricks. I scuffed it up with an overlay I made from the image in the middle. The middle dandelion fluff, is one of my photo's, which i did negative image and some other unspeakable things to. Only unspeakable because I cant remember, guessing I desaturated and lowered opacity and other stuff. I used barbed wire instead of stitching, it seemed to fit better. Photo's are mine. I spray water on the seed heads and brought them in the studio to photograph. The concept needs more experimentation (perhaps with gycerine instead). Fonts: Black Range (pluviophile) & Alisabela Brushley (quote) both from Creative Fabrica. I tried putting water spots on the layout but couldnt make it look random enough so just left it off for now. Carole: should this go in the miscellanous area of the gallery or in the Scraplift part, even though I'm late with it.
  16. I love them too! And my yard is full of them. I made a deal with DH Rob (Darling Husband Rob) that he could mow the front yard but I got the backyard left alone until I finished with the little beauties. they are dont now and I did manage to get to shots (portraits mostly in the studio). I am working on another layout with them. Your's is a beauty, perfectly perfect. they are the happiest of flowers.
  17. C= Charlie, the nick-name my dad called me. I'm not sure why or how it came to be. Just remember it as long as I can remember.
  18. Awwww, so sweet.
  19. Yes, there will always be questions. Usually I just go from the link in my notification email and it takes me to the post so I forget what's at the top of the page. It's good to be reminded to look where I am before I "speak".
  20. I made a new post. Is this correct? thanks for reminding me, sometime I forget to look at topic of the original post.

  24. I will look for The Doctor Blake Mysteries. Thank you. We did watch the season 1 behind the scene and see that season two has one as well. I enjoy behind the scenes shows. She is the woman every woman would like to be for sure. I think I'm more like Dot....but not as smart or capable with a thread and needle. ? Thanks for giving us a new show to look for. Since we gave up Netflix we've been watching a lot of good shows in U-tube.
