  1. This is what mine looks like too. How I managed to find the downloaded extras and put them elswhere is beyond me. I must not have checked some box or answered some question I needed to answer to not get Set Up Files. At least if others dont have it, it might not be me after all. ? I think we all know...its ME!
  2. Good idea. thanks for the advice. I need it...go check the scripting forum for my last comment and Carole's comment to me before that. It's hilarious. the depths of my stupidity runs deep. It's a good laugh though.
  3. I buy direct from them too. I wish there was a better instruction for it. I too had not realized I was missing some brushes or preset shapes or something and couldnt do a tutorial. I think Carole, Sue and a few others (I think you helped me too, Rene) got me straight. I always wondered after that if what I downloaded was all I was supposed to do. I often wonder about tech companies, their job is technology...cant they make it idiot proof (or Susan proof in my case). I never really know if got it all. And well, there's the proof I didnt. Its like grocery companies, they send you a link to download this weeks offers. Why dont they just download them, they have access to my card. Why make me waste time logging in when they know I want them anyway.
  4. Seems good to me. I just watched the tutorials for Lab 7-2 and all was well. I downloaded some pdfs for the scripting and it was good too.
  5. That ribbon was hard to do. i did it over and over to get what I wanted. I was using a mouse. cant wait to get a tablet.
  6. I sure do have it in the same spot. You are quite correct on it's placement. I also have painter loaded as a stand alone. Or rather, that's how PSP did it. So if it say painter and flies out to particle shop, why does it say painter at all. And how would you use just painter, other than PSP loaded it as a separate program. I like that so that's okay, would even prefer particle shop on the desktop separately. that way I dont forget about them. Out of sight is out of mind for me. I agree, they hid that sucker well. Maybe it's a surprise gem we would be delighted to find. We were trying to figure out when we got Particle Shop, which version. Donna answered the question, it came from 2020 (ult). Is it weird I still have it but unistalled 2020 from this computer (it's stil on my laptop with 2021). I have 2022 and 2023 on my desktop (all Ultimate version). I thought it would have disappeared when i uninstalled it, I'm grateful it didnt now that I see what fun can be had with it.
  7. I was having a weird issue when I went to put a photo over top of another photo (I was having them trade places in a grid). PSP wouldnt do it, then I thought I'll delete the layer, move the other one and re-add the layer back in. But when I went to move the layer with the move tool to the new location it disappeared (not in the layers palette but on the canvas) and left a lower opacity see through ghost of a layer in place. so I deleted that layer and ghost remained....like in those movies where ghosts cant pass over because there is something left undone in their life so they are stuck in limbo....then they get all evil. Uhm...YIKES! Is PSP going to come alive and haunt me? Back to reality, that's when I'd get a pop up from Windows saying PSP has stopped working, do I want to close or wait message.
  8. Not to worry, take your time, deal with it after the weekend.
  9. Sue! You're back! have you been out photographing or more likely tending to the stock on the farm? Hope to see some layouts.
  10. Almost everything works. Well, everything except the Labs. There is just page but no labs.
  11. What a cool technique. I love the colors too.
  12. I am going to watch the video again. I did see the different tools for the different brushes too, but forgot about the jitter. At first on the big flowers it was fine. After that it went wild. So I changed a setting way too much, forgetting that it was the jitter I was changing.
  13. Is it possible it didnt come with 2023 Ultimate? This is the downloads I got. Looks like I installed(and reinstalled it on March 19th and the fonts for some reason say July 26 - how bizarre). Regardless, I dont see Particle Shop on the list at all, just PainterEss8, Photo Mirage, Multi Cam Capture and the Highlight Reel. I've only tried Painter - it was a hot mess. I'm glad I have i though, what Suzy did with that flower is really awesome.
  14. Not yet, hoping for Christmas. I understand I dont need the latest greatest models just the smaller one that doesnt have all the bells and whistles.
  15. Holy wow, have your weekend, then come back and fix it. When do you get to rest and play and not cater to us? I'm pretty sure there is a rule about not editing code on a Saturday or Sunday. You dont want to anger the techy Gods.
  16. Oh Jannette, I am not very techy and I downloaded it 4-5 months ago. I cant remember if I had to install it or if it just happened. The weird thing, is in my Set Up Files for 2023 I dont have Particle Shop.exe but I do in my 2022 Set up Files. I wonder if when i downloaded 2023 I told it to keep the files from the last 3 PSP's I had. I'm really sorry I am zero help in things like this. In fact once I download, I'm never sure where anything is and if I need to do anything else to make the extra's work. I wish there was more clear direction on this. I went several years without installing the extras because I presummed it was automatic. shouldnt it be? They are giving it to me and there should be a checklist on the download page asking what I want to download, I shouldnt have to go hunting for it. If Ann is reading this, she will know as she just downloaded 2023 (ultimate I'm talking about for me and for) recently. And she has more a grasp on these things than I do. Ann, please help us.
  17. WOW! this is a stunner! it looks like the fur brush, is it? You look like you've been doing it for years. Do you think a tablet would be better to use?
  18. Mine works too and i found the extra pack when PS opened it had a pop up for brushes you could buy (where I had to register too) and at the bottom was the free pack. this could be a fun tool to play with. but I sure need A LOT of tutorials or practice. controlling that brush is like riding a bucking bronco.
  19. I can wait too. I have a long to-do list this weekend so I wont be needed access. I am happy the forums are still active...you know I love to chat.
  20. I just downloaded a PDF on clarity, texture and dehaze so I can report back once I actually know something (cause I dont usually know much about anything these days - sucks getting old). All of those are "contrast" tools that targets different areas (eg, highlights, midtones, shadows etc).
  21. I guess I was generalizing it compared with doing it the long way. turns out maybe editing in a editing program isnt longer after all. I did use the haze tool and the sliders. It is nice and I'm sure I'll use it. I will try and see what it does to that one shot I got with the sun getting past the lens hood. I'm waiting for the day when I can just "think" what I want and PSP can do it. but then we'd have to be physically wired in. That might short out my tin-foil hat. I dont mean to sound ungrateful about the tool, I'm not at all, I'm stoked to get all the help and options I can get. Just wanted people to know it can be done without the tool in case they arent going to upgrade to 2023.
  22. Baby anything is so fun to watch. well, actually "anything nature" is fun to watch. (except wildfires). Do you live on an acreage? I miss living out of town, so much more quiet and dark on the farms I lived on in the past.
  23. I was talking to Elvis the other (YIKES! Right?) and telling him all about The Scrapbook Campus, PSP and the Forums. And you know what he said to me...."A little less conversation, a little more Action". Kidding aside, here is my latest lab. I dont like the purple color in the tags and might go back and redo it at some point and add some brown or stick with green, in the layout. Lab 7-1 Concentric Rectangles Filled Text Photo Mosaic Even if I'm not happy with my layout design I loved this lab. It's quick and easy to do. I had to use the shift key and make straight(ish) rectangles because drawing with a mouse creates a very achy hand and it's just plain hard. I was a skeptic, but once you use the tile to flood fill your page it looks pretty darned good. Everything is mine except: Fonts: Annie Use your Telescope (google I'm sure), Raftera (Creative Fabrica) Screwheads: Creation Cassel (cass-screwheads freebie) Pink Flower, White Flower: corel picture tube I even made two Vector tags (made previously, but after the workshop) and the Vector flower. Contrary to popular belief, and because I said I did this; no flower heads were cut off in the making of these photos. They are in their natural element (if being in a Pot is "natural"). I hired a lighting designer for this shoot, she came highly recommended by the neighbourhood crows...her name: Mother Nature. The Fine Print: This post has been "Elivs" approved (I think I've had too much sun)
  24. this is lovely and I'm about to post after not seeing this forum. you will laugh. We have the same title. I forgot to click follow and wondered why no one was posting in the What are you Working On forum.
