Here is: 1 banner with letters (font is Heart Arrow Monogram), 2 of my photos with a mask and 3 papers. I mostly start with a template to roughly get an idea where I'm going with my layout and then change it to something that suits the photos better. When I was in the States it was a surprise to see an American primrose which I immediately recognized because we also have primroses, I had some in the garden of our house before we moved. This one has the common name Mexican primrose, I found a white one called Prairie evening primrose and the Dutch name is Teunisbloem and ours are mostly yellow. Their Latin name is Oenothera. The European primroses all come from the Americas, at least that's what I read when I searched for info on them. So correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks to the Vector Masterclass it was very easy to make a path for the stitching that I used to hold the little flags of the banner in place. The backgroundpaper is one of a series of old maps which I have in my stash. I found it fitting for my topic.

Day 7, already the last day! I'm very glad that we learned how to cut a vector shape because I have the Vector Spiral Script for a long time and I only could use it along the complete spiral with text or a picture tube. I have the explanation on how to cut the spiral but never could get it to work until now ?. I made the letter X with a garland tube and put the mas next to it, again something to use for a card (it's never to0 early to start thinking about Xmas!). Then I made a waterdrop with a fish scale tube and a spiral with the Vector Spiral script (it is a free script and it was a Featured Resource in the Campus).I gave the beads on the spiral different "christmas colors" with the string in silver. Carole I enjoyed this workshop very, very much, thank you for all the work you have put and are putting in to help us understand and work with these vectors! Now I'm going back to making and exporting more leaves and shapes for future us, but as a diversion I'll do the 1-2-3 challenge of this week.

I like to make things that I will be able to use again. The Christmastree is a preset shape and I adorned it with Christmas bows. Next to it is a symmetric shape, a 7 pointed star that I changed using those lovely nodes and it has a spiral garland. Then my initials and their picturetubes are my own pearls and a hibiscus flower photo that I made into a tube. Unlike some of you I do not have had any problems with downloading or viewing the lessons and videos. My PSP2023 is behaving normally too! fingers crossed!

Michele, the same goes for me. I once used to know how to do it and then I forgot and thought that it were my drawing skills that were not up to this kind of drawing by hand.

Rene, very sorry to hear of your health problems and I hope your upcoming surgery goes to plan. All the best for a speedy recovery, so we can enjoy your work again.

What a lovely card/envelop and message from Anne! I couldn't agree more; you are always so helpful whenever I have some issues. I make cards, I have always done in different ways and materials. Nowadays with PSP/Scrapbook and my own photos. I have a color printer, by no means a new one but it does the job very well. Some of the cards I have showed over here for different challenges etc.

Text on a curve is something I use often, so no problems here besides selecting which photo to use. To make it more like a card I added a frame from my stash and I think that came from Creative Fabrica but quite some time ago. Font is Dreamy Snowland and I like this font for winter pages. I was glad with the second assignment because I once made stamps that way but I forgot how to do the text in the other direction and I couldn't find in all my paperwork, if I had the instructions somewhere. What I did wrong when I tried to do this earlier, well simply the first step: convert to path. I'll probably never forget this anymore and now I have the guidebook where I underlined those steps in red. The font here is Chalk and Friends Four. The photo in the ellips is from a plaquette at the visitors center in that area.

My contribution of day 4. Made a contour of a mug and filled it with my purple color. hen a cup and saucer and finally an egg which is just for the diamond members. I didn't do anything fancy with them but concentrated on making the shapes. Today I found making the shapes a lot easier then doing it on the leaves of day 3, less notes to tweak! The cutout posed no problems. Of course I encounter most of the same problems as everybody else, but I can spot what I'm doing wrong or forgot a step. I can see that I have to practice a lot more but I'm going to like these vectors and see the possibilities they have. I'm having fun......

Suzy it is not too late to print those guidebooks and they will be great to refer to when needed. I have done so on other workshops and it so helpful to be able to check on something without to shuffle through my pc to find where I might have saved them.?

Y = Yes, let's start grilling!

Here are the leaves I made and exported as shapes. I'm more familiar with those nodes now and have made some notes from Carole's comments. It is getting easier and I didn't have to start all over this day, but I have to take it more slowly because it is very strenuous on my hands. So nothing fancy, only the shapes I did. I want to be able to follow along the coming days, so the other shapes will have to wait.

I wholeheartedly agree! For this workshop I print the guidebooks so I have them next to my pc and I write these very useful tips down and have them ready to refer to when needed.

Dorothy you have been busy and having fun doing all this work! It is something I can't do on a regular basis, I have no patience for it and not the time necessary for doing it well. Michele I love your building blocks! What gave you the idea to use this script for it, it is striking.

I made my shapes in purple so they stand out in the shapes folder when I export them and then made them a bit more fancy. Carole I have a question: In this lesson you told us how to export those shapes and I did as in the lesson, so I have label01and label02 who I have given the name ck-label01 and ck-label02 in the Vector Property box. The labels 03,04 and 05 where exported together with the name ck-labels for the Vector Property box. (ck is my prefix) Is there a possibility to bring the label 01 and 02 in the same Vector Property called labels. Or is it impossible to change that once they are exported?

Sue as always very inspirational, but I can see that I will have to practice a lot!

Lynda good to see you back, I was wondering what was happening to you! Sorry to hear of your shoulders, hope your new house will be build quickly.

That's how I do it after some trial and error! I often go to fast and I slowed down and that solved the problem! Glad I did it the right way.

Like Cristina said I too never noticed that the icons changed when converting to path. I forgot a couple of times that you first have to change to the pentool and convert to path, but I hope I won't do that any more.? After making the heart and the arrow I just played a bit with a circle shape and got something that more or less resembles a butterfly which isn't perfect yet.

A couple of days ago I was playing with the curvy lines script that I won and with the freebie that we got in the store. Just for me to see what I could do with it and I decided to make a page out of it. I used photos I took of the gigant Saguaru Cactus when I was in Arizona on my trip. That cactus has "lines" on it and that made it a good combination with this font Fredericka. Btw I felt a dwarf when standing next to one of them, they are gigantic and something I have never seen before, as so many things on this trip. Besides all the memories I have a lot of photos for all kinds of upcoming projects! You might get tired of my stories.

No I don't print them for the same reason as you, way to much paperwork! If I'm correct I did make notes on the pdf files in Word, but I haven't done so lately because I always forget that I did and on which ones ?
-
For me it is back to normal as well and I was able to watch those vector masterclasses! Let's hope it will stay this way, and thank you so much for working on it during the weekend. ?

Well I do download the pdf files and make notes on them, but most of the time I forget to look there, silly I know.....?

This afternoon everything was fine and now I have the same problem as yesterday. As you probably have seen I can comment in the forum, but as soon as I go to the Diamond section I'm asked to login and that I can join the Diamond membership if I wish so. At this point I don't see my photo and Howdie Corrie any longer. It seems my Diamond membership isn't recognized somehow. So the problem isn't solved yet and I'm still not able to follow the Vector Masterclasses!

It is obvious that English isn't my mother tongue but I'm lucky to have had a good education although it is 55 years ago now that I left school. I like reading and have always tried to read the books in English which has suited me very well in the rest of my life, but I'm thankful for the spellingchecker on my pc ? To newcomers with another language I would say: just give it a try and we are here to help and when needed to translate or explain.

In my email from this morning I already stated that everything on the site is accessible to me now, but the login procedure is still old. But I'm glad I'm not the only one!
