Alphabet game - Garden

In September, our monthly theme is GARDEN. Let’s play the alphabet game for this theme. Let’s have fun. Let’s find words related to gardening, sowing, weeding, harvesting, etc. No need to find specific food items (although we can if we are stuck) but let's be creative and extract some words that go along with all the work in the garden, the tools, and the tasks.

D = Dirt.  Plants taste best if grown in real dirt.

F = fertilizer, organic if possible.

g = garden (doh), graft, germinate

H = Hose, we really need that to water that garden!

 

but a Hoe is also very useful

Jam & jelly, some of the best ways to keep your produce.  Also jicama, a great veggie, but too hard to grow in the north.

K = Kneeling Pad, a must have to prevent sore knees.

o - organic - my mother was an organic gardener

P = Potted Plants on the Patio (not everyone has large space for gardens so some might grow a few plants on their patio!)

Q = Quantity and Quality of plant production.

r = rain barrel (important in my drought stricken state) and rototiller

s - sprinkler, shovel, spade
