Cassel Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 https://scrapbookcampus.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Theme-Garden.jpg In September, our monthly theme is GARDEN. Let’s play the alphabet game for this theme. Let’s have fun. Let’s find words related to gardening, sowing, weeding, harvesting, etc. No need to find specific food items (although we can if we are stuck) but let's be creative and extract some words that go along with all the work in the garden, the tools, and the tasks. Who will start?
Joanne K Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 D = Dirt. Plants taste best if grown in real dirt.
Dianne Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 e = earthworms, valuable assistants to creating rich earth for the plants to grow in
Cassel Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 H = Hose, we really need that to water that garden! but a Hoe is also very useful
Cassel Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 That goes very well with ... the hose!!! :)
Joanne K Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Jam & jelly, some of the best ways to keep your produce. Also jicama, a great veggie, but too hard to grow in the north.
Sheila Hogg Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 K = Kneeling Pad, a must have to prevent sore knees.
Dianne Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 o - organic - my mother was an organic gardener
Cassel Posted September 17, 2016 Author Posted September 17, 2016 P = Potted Plants on the Patio (not everyone has large space for gardens so some might grow a few plants on their patio!)
Sheila Hogg Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Q = Quantity and Quality of plant production.
Dianne Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 r = rain barrel (important in my drought stricken state) and rototiller
Judy at Dogs Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Umbrella Hat .......... (one of those silly little cute things that keeps the sun off your face while gardening.)
