Alphabet game - Pets

In May, our monthly theme is PETS. Let's have another alphabet game for this theme. Let’s have fun. I think it will be much easier than in April.

I’ll start:

A = Angora (yes, that is a cat)

B = beagle

[Linda Rexford]

C = Cheshire (cat) ;-)

[Sheila Hogg]

D = Dingo

[Dianne]

e = emu or elephant (exotic pets, not for everyone)

I'll go for something more ... traditional:

 

F = Ferret

g = guinea pig

[Cassel]

Another easy one for me:

 

H = hamster

i = iguana

J = Jaguar (someone must have one)

L = llama or lamb

Oh Dianne... a llama??? It might be more convenient to house a lizard!!!

 

M = Mouse/Mice (i had little white mice when i was a kid; got them from grandma... mom was not thrilled!)

N = Newfoundland puppy dog.

O = Owl (I wish I had one; they are so cute)

p = pigeon (though, in these parts, pot-bellied pigs are very popular as pets)

Q = Quail

 

After some research, i found that quails can be pets. Maybe beside the pigeons?

R = Rabbit

S=    Suffolk Sheep.    Being raised on a Welsh Hill farm, I had many pet sheep and lambs. All had names.

t is for terrier (though I did know someone who kept a tarantula as a pet)

U = Unicornfish (is there a simpler answer? Am I only looking for the oddest answers?)
