Cassel Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 https://scrapbookcampus.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/ScavengerHunt-Challenge.jpg I am offering you a scavenger hunt where you have to find some elements and combine them to create a layout or a project. Are you up to the challenge? Although you don't have to create those elements, you also have that option, so either you use what you have downloaded or you can still make them from scratch. Your end result must include ALL of those elements ;). I added some links to tutorials (only accessible to our DIAMOND members) but you can also use elements created from scripts. one denim texture or element (here) some gradient (it has to be obvious!) one silhouette one doily (here or here) at least one round picture some beads or pearls (here) plaid pattern (here) You can choose any theme you want, so what will you create with those elements?
Annie Tobin Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Hello Scrapbook Campers. I love these challenges for many reasons but mostly because they cement my knowledge of the wonderful tutorials available here. The photo is of pine cones from Llandrillo in Wales, UK and was taken by Cerys Lowe from Unsplash. They reminded me of roses, hence the title. All bar the beautiful paint element (warm n woodsy paint element by Jessica Dunn of PixelScrappers) were created by myself. The frame is the denim texture/element but it is a little hard to recognize as it has been downsized. The gradient was created by using Cassel's great gradient creator script. The title is made from the bead tube and was hand moused ... yay! Thanks for takin a peek!
Annie Tobin Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 One more ... because I can, ;D The photo from Unsplash is by Lobo Studio. Paint splashes on the background paper are by Jessica Dunn from PixelScrappers as is the cat silhouette. Thanks for takin a peek!
AprilDawn Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Wonderful projects for this challenge Annie! you have such creative ideas... well done !.. love them both. best wishes, Dawn.
Annie Tobin Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Thanks dear Dawn, so glad you liked them my friend. <3
Sue Thomas Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Cassel's freebie doily which I colourized using the paint brush technique, vector tube beads around photo, Cassel corner punches. The papers I created myself, along with the word frames and silhouette.
Royanne Hewko Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Great job ladies. Annie both your projects are very calming and so different. Sue the purple doily really stands out. When I read the challenge and saw plaid right away I thought of the picture I wanted to scrapbook. My doily is not very fancy as I tried one and it did not match the theme. So just went with one hole and filled in the center. I enjoyed making the beads again I used plaid. Had lots of fun.
Annie Tobin Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Sue ... again your nature loving nature shows through! I love the way your purple doily thrusts the warblers into the spotlight, well done!
Annie Tobin Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Thanks Royanne, always appreciated my friend. Your page is great fun ... obviously a spin off from the quartet in the photo, well done Hon!

trish williams Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Love that post Mary Ann, soo cute. Here is my take on the project, denim is there but hard to see till u enlarge it, gradients I used to paint the burnt edge paper, and another which I made on the doilly I tried to make badly. silhouettes from my files, along with bubbles. another doilly was from cass pearls are assortment, part mine and elements I cut from a picture. made 3 rings, put them inside each other to make a from. I made the check paper picture my granddaughter, the day she pass out of University
