Cassel Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 https://scrapbookcampus.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/WordChallenge.jpg Here is the next Word challenge for you. In September the word will be BETWEEN. Have you been between two jobs? between two houses? What is the life between classes? Did you have to choose between two paths, two desserts, etc.? Let's see what story you can tell us! Are you up to the challenge? Post your projects in this thread (it can be older projects you did or recent ones; it does not matter) or, if you want, our PSP Scrapbook Showcase pinboard on Pinterest is always there to showcase what is being shared in the Campus (if you need an invite, let me know)
AprilDawn Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 this morning I found myself thinking about this word challenge and put this card together for the word BETWEEN.. When I had finished it I thought about my Mum and how she would have loved receiving something like this as she had a good sense of humour. she would have had a good laugh and then ask me to make her another one to give to someone else....... great memories to have ..... I have used a purchased coloured digital stamp and sentiment from Beccy's Place here in Australia The font is kleymissky for the wording between you and me. the rose is a brush I made from a photo a good while ago and I used spruce texture from psp in the frame. Dawn.
Cristina Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Dawn, lol :D Very good idea for this challenge! Till now I cannot think of what to do with the word between... I will keep trying.
AprilDawn Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Thank You Cristina! your comments on my projects are always appreciated. this is a card I am going to include in the collection I am giving to my sister-in-law as she also has a great sense of humour. best wishes to you, Dawn.
Sheila Hogg Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Great card Dawn. I will have to put my thinking cap on and see what I can do.
Gail Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Nice card Dawn........made me think. I am new to PSP and made this myself.........I used circles, curly brush, and arrows for the stores. It is a simplistic design, but it is my first.
AprilDawn Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Thank you Gail for commenting on my card. ..... if you are new to the Forum then "Welcome to you" you mention you are new to PSP also so I hope you will enjoy sharing in the forum as it is a place where we can all share our ideas and techniques and learn from each other. Don't be shy in showing us your creations .... your first effort above was a good creative idea for this challenge. Dawn.
AprilDawn Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Hello Sheila, Thank you for your comment on my card I appreciated it very much. Dawn.
Cristina Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Hi Gail, welcome to the Campus! Your layout is very nice.... the way you used the curly brush ...I also hope to see more of your creations here.
Sheila Hogg Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Well done Gail, its quite daunting at the best of time but especially when its your first one. We all start somewhere and you will soon find a style that suits. You did good gal.. Welcome from me too. Sheila x
Michele Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 You cracked me up, Dawn! Very nice, Gail. You'll learn a lot here.
Marlene Lingham Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Dawn and Gail, I am still thinking about this challenge but love what you both did (really laughed at yours Dawn!) and they have given me some ideas.
AprilDawn Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Michele and Marlene, thanks so much for your comments on my card. I am glad it gave you both a smile! best wishes to you both, Dawn.
Marlene Lingham Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 I have done a number of photo collages for my golfing friends when they had a "zero" birthday, and I remembered this quote I had used on one of them so I thought I would use it for this challenge. Funnily enough the photos were taken only a week apart, during our Wednesday competition day - Lyn must have trying to out do Lynda! The background, wordart and elements are from two sets I got from Digital Scrapbooking Place (Tee Time and Golf), the tees are a PSP tube and the My Girl Filmstrip frame was from Designs by Shelley. I coloured the wordart as per Cassel's tutorial.
Cristina Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Marlene, very nice layout. I like the use of the filmstrip frame... different way to frame the photos and looks really good.
AprilDawn Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Marlene, very nice page ! and great use of the word Between. Dawn.
