When creating graphic projects, we are always inspired by things we see, whether it is in the same area, or from totally different sources.

In this challenge, I will be posting one graphic project and you get to pick an idea from it and create your own. In scrapbooking world, some people will use this type of inspiration and try to replicate a project, as closely as possible. That is ok if that is what you want, but I prefer to offer you an array of options where you can pick at least ONE idea and run with it. Is it a color combination? Is it a particular element? Is it a special effect you want to try? Is it an arrangement that you never thought of? It does not matter.

Here is your inspiration:

And once you post your project, tell us what particular element inspired you that you incorporated into yours.

My inspiration came from the beads that were used to write the date. They immediately made me think of Cassel's Baby Alpha Beads and the little bracelets they used to put on babies when they were born. I used a pic from Unsplash that made me think, "Oh, baby," when I saw it. Using Cass's Bead Script, I made simple little white beads which I then put into a picture tube with the help of the Auto Tuber script. That's how the baby bracelet was created. I added various clip art items from PixelScrapper and used several of their papers to create the frames. To get the colors I wanted, I used the Color Replacer tool on one of the papers.

Looking at your photo of the Cemetery reminded me of the Magnetic Termite mounds in Lichfield Park, Northern Territory: there are hundreds of them, all facing the same way, and all are fairly thin so look like gravestones. My photos didn't come out too well as we couldn't get really close to them, but I think you get the idea. The termite tube I made using Cass's Directional Tuber script and a picture of a termite I found on-line (don't know if it is the right one but they all look a bit the same anyway!). The holes in the title I did with a deckle edge brush but they are a bit small so you can't really see the jaggy edge.

Thanks so much, Sue. <3

Marlene, when I click on your pic I can see the holes in your title. That was a very clever addition to go with your termite theme. I've always been impressed by the size of termite mounts, but I never knew they had magnetic properties. I guess we can learn things that aren't PSP related here, too!

Michele, I love you layout! Everything matches so well together and the frame really makes the page stand out. Great work!

Marlene, I always learn something from your pages. This is so interesting because I had no idea termites could build something that high and also have magnetic property. I can also see the holes in the title... nice touch. Great page!
