Cassel Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 https://scrapbookcampus.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Mystery-Challenge.jpg This week, let's try something ... different. Today, I will list 10 elements or characteristics of elements that you have to incorporate into your project. Maybe you can't get them all? No problem. Try to include as many as you can. And when you post your project, tell us which ones you used. Ready? For this challenge find items from the list to complete your layout: Something from the store blog (any freebie). Something black. Something round. Something with a number. Something attached to something else. Something with a hole. Something that starts with the letter 'T'. Something lifted from the paper. Something you made from scratch. Something made of wood. Go!
Anja Pelzer Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 pictures my own, font Elephant on cherrytrees, forget to notice the date font

Anja Pelzer Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I tried a few times now to copy and paste the list , but every time it shows up like my post
Cassel Posted July 30, 2017 Author Posted July 30, 2017 Maybe you will need to type it manually. :( It seems like the copying is also copying all the formatting info. Let me see if i can do it for you.

Sheila Hogg Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Great work Anja and Dawn. I will get my bum in gear soon and do something but feel sooooooooooo tired today. Will wake up in a bit. Sheila xx
Cristina Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Anja and Dawn, both beautiful pages! Anja, I love the texture and color of the background and the elements you added. Dawn, Dawn, I also love the texture and color of the background. The mask, elements, details... Like I explained in another post, I have been away for a couple of days, so I am behind with the challenges, and will try to catch up asap. Cassel, what a great challenge!
AprilDawn Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Cristina , Thank you for your comment on my page. This challenge was a bit more challenging than usual... to come up with a theme for our page and then have 10 specific elements in it.... but I thought it was a good exercise for the brain and I enjoy that. Sheila, Thank you also for your comment. Anja.. you did a nice page.. like your colour scheme. best wishes to you all, Dawn.
Marlene Lingham Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Beautiful pages Anja and Dawn. For my take on this challenge I ended up doing a sort of fantasy page. The sky background was from a paper, the grass, dirt and trees were done with picture tubes. I used elements from various sets I have - the wellies were originally patterned and I reduced the brightness to make them black. I had trouble with the shadows though, they didn't look right, so in the end I didn't do any - I will have to revisit Cassel's tutorials and see if I can find anything to help me. Something from the Store Blog - the engraved rocks. Something black - the wellies. Something round - the wreath Something with a number - the sign Something attached to something else - the wreath, the ivy. Something with a hole - the chain on the sign, the flower pot Something that starts with the letter T - the trellis and trees Something lifted from the paper - the Lobelia tag Something I made from scratch - the sign (I used preset shapes and Cassel's engraving tut) and of course most of the background Something made of wood - the wheelbarrow This was a very interesting challenge, certainly made me think!
AprilDawn Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Hello Marlene, a nice creative page. you have made great use of the picture tubes. . they come in handy from time to time don't they to help create scenes like you have done or just adding an element.... it is amazing really what you can do with them.... I agree with you that this was an interesting challenge , it certainly got my brain ticking over for ideas.. but that is what challenges are all about isn't it... and is part of the fun. Dawn.
Cristina Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Marlene, like Dawn said, very nice and creative page! I am sure you had fun doing it. And I agree with both of you, this is a very interesting challenge,
Cristina Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 This is my contribution to this challenge. For the papers, I used eyeinspire-country roads freebie. Another freebie is the skipped cross stitch from Sheila Reid. I used three different types of fonts: 2Pea Gone Postal, Andalus and Khmer UI. Also used cass-EdgeMagic free Script (photos) and cass-2016 Calendar Challenge Alphas-08 1- Something from the store blog (any freebie)----------- cass-Notebook-LoosePage1 2- Something black ------------- Silhouette 3- Something round ------------ Button and Buttonized Photo 4- Something with a number ------------- Part of the Journaling 5- Something attached to something else ---------- Staple to the loose page 6- Something with a hole -------------- Button and Leather Tag 7- Something that starts with letter T ------------ word Time 8- Something lifted from the paper ------------- Map (I used cass-Lifted Photo script) 9- Something made from scratch ----------------- (Button, Leather Tag, Staple - Cassel's tutorials) 10- Something made of wood ----------- Button I had fun doing this page... having to think how to accommodate so many elements!
Cristina Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 This is the page again with higher resolution... maybe be better to read the journaling
AprilDawn Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Hi Cristina, a great page and beautiful photos, lovely scenery... looks like a nice place to visit. I must get Cassel's free edge magic script it creates a very nice effect on the photos.... and the button effect on the silhouette photo looks great... I know we all say it, but I love the way we can share ideas with each other... to inspire and encourage. Dawn.
Marlene Lingham Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Love the page Cristina, especially the way you used the photos to almost be a panorama. Cassel's tutorials are so easy to follow, I can almost feel artistic!
Cristina Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Dawn, Marlene, and Sheila thanks for the encouragement and comments. Dawn, although I had had the edge magic script for a while, only when I saw Anja Pelzer using it in a photo (what I thought was a great idea), I began to use. Hats off to her. :) I love to see every work that is posted here... I learn and am inspired by them.
