Cassel Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 Have you ever made an ALPHABET album? It is a fun way to showcase photos or stories, but with an added twist. I have created an alphabet album in the past, where each page had a title (and a topic) starting with one letter of the alphabet. Then, the pages were placed in alphabetical order, even if not in chronological order. So, for 2022, I am suggesting this long-term challenge for you. With one page every 2 weeks, we will be able to finish the year with a complete album. It is up to you to decide if you want to print it or share it otherwise. I will share my own pages, just for ideas, but I will also give you some more words that will start with the letter of the week. Try to think of one overarching theme to use. It could be about your last vacation, a family gathering, a hobby of yours, a location, etc. Think of something that you have lots of photos of or many words you can associate with. If you have not started yet and want to jump in, no problem. You know the alphabet so you know what letters you will have to do and you still have many months to catch up on those few pages, so don't hesitate. There is also no deadline, so if this week's page is done only next month, it is totally fine too. So here is my M layout. Of course, you can use words in your own language too. As you can see, this album was done in French. Here are some other words that could be used as title/theme: Nail, National, Natural, Nature, Near, Necessary, Need, New, Newborn, Nice, Normal, Noteworthy, Now, Numerous, Nurse, Naive, Naked, Narrow, Nautical, Near, Negotiation, Night, Nine, Nineteen, Ninety, Noise, Noisy, North, Nuptial, Nutritious, Nuts, Name, Next, Noon, Novel, Numbers, Name, Nose, Novice, Nugget, Nursery, Needle, and many more. What will your N layout be?
Corrie Kinkel Posted July 9, 2022 Posted July 9, 2022 This is my letter N in the Alphabet Album about Etten-Leur. It is all about the newly build centre for everything cultural. It opened on April 1st 2022 and has: a theater, library, a place where you can lend toys (speelotheek) , all kinds of artcourses, poppodium, events etc. Its name comes from Justus de Nobelaer, an influcential 17th century lover of the arts who lived here. The great theater hall the Justus honors him too. In fact all the different halls are named after some one that plays a role in our community. The central point of the building, designed by the architect Roel ten Bras, is an open space with a big bar in the middle for a coffee, drinks or lunch.
Rene Marker Posted July 9, 2022 Posted July 9, 2022 N is for "Native Americans". The area where I live was a rich history of Indian tribes living in the area. Several different ones over the years. My town was at one time a council house for the tribes. Over the years many people have found various artifacts from those times when plowing fields in the surrounding area or even when building new housing. Even though the tribes moved westward, this area does not take their history lightly.
Bonnie Ballentine Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Another double page layout. N = New York City. Left side...We left very early in the morning and took the train to NYC. Saw the sights and returned to VA via train very late that night. A full day. The blue gradient background was created from colors of the sky the morning of 9-11. Created by Spencer Finch and titled “Trying to Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning.” The piece is comprised of 2,983 individual watercolor squares—each representing a victim of the 2001 and 1993 attacks.
