Paige Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Such a fun lab... The only part I didn't do was the text background paper. I will try it on my next lab. I'm still working on my shadowing, I have to watch the tutorial on that. Creating the paper patterns and the elements are really the best part for me. LOVE creating vectors/preset shapes! Thank you, Cassel for the wonderful tutorials!! You're a great instructor!! (:
AprilDawn Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 hello Paige..... just a note to say I think your page is well done ... I am glad you posted it...it is a great idea that we can share pics of what we achieve from all the tutorials we have done, here in the forum. look forward to seeing more of your creations. Bye!
Annie Tobin Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 A great module for the lab. I loved it and really did have great fun. Below is my result from the tuts. Thanks for looking dear members. Hugs and Love ...... Annie T
Cristina Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Hi Annie, great layout! The Lab tutorials are really good.
DeLoris Musick Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 I finished Lab 5-09 yesterday. Lots of things to do in there. All the things I did you can see in the Facebook Group, so I won't post them all in here. I did do the template and incorporated several of the things to do in it. It has the fall colors, fancy font and the template provided. I loved that section and it was challenging and I learned a lot! Thanks Carole! All the other submissions are just wonderful! Hugs, DeLoris
Annie Tobin Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 I do love your work DeLoris, this is lovely, well done my friend. <3
Mary Solaas Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 I am new to Diamond Membership and so I am starting back at the beginning of the labs. This is my take on Lab 5 Module 9. Didn't go into the Experiments associated with this lab. I have done circle pictures before. Was going to try to incorporate all the experiments and the tutorials with module 9, but that didn't go so well. So here we are. Oh, I did incorporate one-word title which was one of the experiments.
Karon Dey Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 Paige: Lovely layout. You did a great job with them all. Annie: Your layout certainly put a smile on my face. Wonderful color to use. DeLoris: Beautiful page and fabulous use of the template. Mary: Your page turned out fantastic. Love the family pic.
sandra jones Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Great job every one on the layouts. I love them all. Lab 5-9 was fun for me and I learned a lot. All papers are made by me including the ribbon, button and leaf overlay. The only thing I did not make is the flower and it is from the kit called Dandelion Wishes part 2 by Antebellum Press.
Val Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Hello, just starting and this looked like a great place to put my first lab results. Lab 5 template, Lucinda Handwriting Font, Buttons: Creative Victorian Blue Stocking and Aught Missed (with my modifications), Flowers: Creative Victorian Aught Missed, Heart: Kimeric Kreations Love Lives Here (with my modifications) using the lab color pallet.
Karon Dey Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Val, well done little sis but Champ doesn't look to thrilled, LOL.
Mary Solaas Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 I am finally back working in the Labs. I had started Buttons & Bows several months ago, but had to stop because of other projects. Finally finished today with the buttons. I used my polka dot paper, but the other papers and elements including the buttons are from Fire And Ice by Cassel. I like to change colors so the papers' colors were changed to go along with the pink and blue on Emma's bow and dress. Even the buttons' colors were changed. I used the plain papers for frames for the picture. The B in "Buttons" and "Bows" is also from the kit. The balance of the words were from a font but I don't remember which one I used - I did note that it only had capital letters. The polka dot paper I did not use at 100% opacity and I used a blank white raster layer under it so that it is pale and doesn't outshine the picture.
Val Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Mary: Even without the shadows it is sweetness! I think your color selection was perfect.
Mary Solaas Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Thank you, Val. I'm not sure why, but the shadows which come last I sometimes forget.
Mary Solaas Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 OK - I added the shadows - tweaking them a bit from the suggestions Cassel gave back scrap course cheat sheet (I work best with the written tutorials after watching the video). Not sure my tweaks were good, but this is the final result.
Karon Dey Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Mary, what a cute layout and Emma is adorable.
