D is for DEVON a county in England
A County to England is the same as a State to America, even if the whole of England would fit into California 3 times.Honeymoon challenge p North Devon, England. Pictures from images, no originals as they were destroyed by water.
Correction
Sorry Carole, whenever Ann she speaks to me it is always a picky remark, I am sitting here in pain this morning, hands are shaking this was just a quicky to try to take my mind of it, I can always see errors in my work, but I do them for the enjoyment not for the perfection. I enjoy being told of errors, and suggestions it makes me better next time. Was thinking of putting up that pipe mask for others to give it a try. What group do I post it on.
It’s there because I forgot to cut the frame, the flowers are on a background paper and I couldn’t be bothered to lift it as I did the top bunch, , Cutting the frame would have been the easiest but as I said, I forgot. Do you want to slap my wrist?. it was just a quicky if you need to pick Ann I thought you would have said you couldn’t read the writing which is attached to the mask, Perhaps I should have picked the paper with the pink flowers then that would have solved that problem, or I could have erased it from the mask and wrote another on a new layer, but as I said it was a quicky, its a picture, I don’t presume to be a perfectionist, are you. Hope this answers the problem, I apologise if anyone else has a problem with this quicky picture. LOL, it took longer to explain this to Ann than it did to make it. I have answered your other question regarding your query about my use of a spoon on the other page, I thought that was common knowledge, but we learn something new every day. Perhaps I might go back and pick up my mistakes at a later date Ann or perhaps you could try it and see if you can do it better.
Ann, Carved Love Spoons are given by the man to their Loved ones in Scotland and Ireland and I think Wales as well as other countries, I think Germany is one. I can’t remember if its on the wedding day or to signify they are promised like an engagement, Perhaps Someone else could fill you in. Sue might know coming from Wales. We have a tradition or had, it has seemed to have died of putting a spoon or corn dolly on the Brides arm after the wedding service for good luck.
The Challenge is on Carole group, Photoshop maniacs x
All items from my stoak, spoon from images, drop shadow added x
All items from stock, spoon from images, drop shadow added
Our Weather Channels keeps saying snow is on it way, so inspired me to make this one. Started with 3 backdrop layers, each faded and blended layered on a snow and icicle layers, added animals, a fence from stock and people. making them to scale Added more snow laayers and blended added glows to lights, and swatchs to accents to sky, snow and reflection from light, added texture and drop shadow
found this old mask frame this is a test run to see how many boxes it would and turned it into a layered template
Sorry I think we are on cross purpurses, I try to make elements from differnt and miss matched sourses and blend them together,to look like they match, ( you cant always find one that is the same sort,) so they all look like they belong
This one was from a song challenge, the backdrop was a picture of a railway carriage, everything else almost were picked up from various png sites and from Kennys web page, all reduce to size, effects added , smoke ect. train from a kit
Carole, I thought the Webinar was mix and match, where different types of elements were merged , this one I used a backdrop photo which I reduced (see image), all the elements where from different souces, cartoon, kit, png site, textures came from another png site as did the road, greenery from another as did the sky
See revised picture … Boxes are a nightmare, Carole, getting the angle right, I think it required a made-to-measure one for this picture or the box should be at ground level or straight on. I wanted to get some things higher up, puts some bottles on the self where I put the booze I have numerous bottles or jars but all looked as though they were falling off the shelf, also candles, they just leaned, I couldn’t get things that required sitting parallel to the wall surface while sitting up straight, it didn’t help with the distortion of the shelf, although it got better when I realized the shelf was more straight and it was the shadow making it look worse, the picture looked like it was taken with a bulls-eye lens I think that’s what its called I am not a photographer. I screenshot your picture as I knew it would have been a problem and it lived up to it x
Marie-Claire I wonder if you are thinking of a script, Carole has a script where you draw a line across a section of you picture and it turns it into a gradient which places it in your gradients that you can choose to keep or trash. I have that and it comes in handy you just have to draw the line where you line the colours most sometimes |I just draw a small line and the effect it produces is great x Hope this helps
Borrowed. Carol’s picture from today’s webinar and added elements from stock

This is my attempt at an Angel,
using one of my model figures which I chopped to pieces, the poor thing was decappated.
dressed her in several layered pieces of lace, putting her back together, a lot of juggling.
added wings from vigpin and added coloured shade to that.
Made Halo shape from vector shapes
