when bored, make papers
another cake to keep me busy
The grape hyacinths in my garden looked extra great this year, so took some pictures, and made a couple of elements out of them That was the start of this tag, things dont always go as you imagine and the sweet peas took over, and the whole thing become a project in blending, the hyacinths finally made the grade in the bottom corner, There are 3 background papers on there, but you can still see the the checkered background thru it, any ideas on stopping this.
Very good Lynda, I am a coward at vectors, just get lost with them, love the quilling, the gold one is so pretty, you could hang it on your wall x.

Lynda, Diana, Christina, thank you for your kind words, they are much appreciated xx.A lovely beautiful man, I was lucky enough to see he once when he came to London. Love his music, hard to pick which one, loved Island in the stream , Lady and buy me a Rose, but Amazing Grace always made my spine tingle. But he was great at song like Lucille and Ruby along with this one The Gambler.
Job well done Minka
He made so many records and did so many shows with Dolly, nice tribute Lyn
I have added this twice, as it answers to Caroles magic and well as the movie theme, see movir themes for how I made it. Thank you
Good job Dorothy, I have been looking for the right picture to have go at that. well done
Peggy, like you idea of using the shape from our normal squares, well done
This gave me a headache as I loved so many films, everytime I decided, up popped another. So I decided which film changed and shaped our lives, bringing up our granddaughter bought many joys, teaching her what was out in the world for her to enjoy. She was an avid reader from the start, with reading shop names while still in her car seat on the many journeys she was to have in her life. Then at about 4 she discover Harry Potter and devoured the children’s edition of the book from cover to cover, the read the adult version. Now the wait begun for the film, and so it went on . The first Theme Park in Florida, and so …. Till on her 18th birthday, she has a tattoo, …. it was …. the last line of the last book.
I cant remember how many effect I did with this one, I did enjoy working on it. all the pictures and elements were sourced from various film sites, and were all cut out by me useing various methods, the film strip I have had for a while and cant remember where from, as were the movie camera and goodies The text is called Arenski. and I have the Harry Potter font, but this was one I extruded. All the photos I used pick/ perspective, although it need a tweek from selections. I used speed lines on Harry and the Owl in 2 layers, the second being blurred for effect and the same for Hermarnies wand, The backing paper I used 2 layers, one was mine own and the top layer I picked up, I think from unsplash. To finish off I added some magical stars, again from my collection I think a group I made up long ago. Hope you enjoy viewing it as I did making itmaking virtual cards, cant get out to post it, wish we had the american system for posting mail.
Today is Palm Sunday, so mad this tag for today
Love them Lyn , love the miss emoji. x
Need to do something as comp has been playing up, have had the tech guys looking into it, so now hoping better, although not all problems fixed, guess it needs going into the shop, but cant afford to lose it with this situation we are all now. It my only connection to the outside world as I expect it is for some of you. So been giving it a test run and I have been messing around with some masks to see how many I could use on one page and this one has 6 , and some cutie bees I had, as I saw one out the window today, I just had to find a use for them, we also have butterflys, which I thought was to early, but was a pleasure to see. Keep safe and stay well xxxthis from the script, only took 2 minutes
Ha Ha Lyn thanks for the compliment, she will be 26 in a couple of months and living in London , bit scary at this time.
he would rather give birth to a racing bike, loves getting his knee down as he seys.
Well another project done, I Blueprint, I have the script, but I think this has come out better than any I have done by the script, although I use that on older, complicated buildings, so might make a difference. will have to try it on this photo.Paint Splash. coudnt get this working right, but finally there. Think my brain needs recharging xx
Thank you Annie, Pop Art interesting to do, but dont think I will do anymore, bit like my one and only grandaughter, my son said did it once and dont want to do it again xx
My take on pop art.
hope everyone is well and safe xHi All, hope you are all coping with this virus, its so scary, and although I spend most of my days alone, I feel quite isolated now, are you all in lock down. you have all been so busy, and so many interesting effect. I feel like Michele at the Mo. and just peer at a blank screen, still it has given me a chance to put those files in order.
Well this one is a bit on the dark side, I guess matches my mood at the mo. I used a mask and layered it with paint effects add 2 elements and a border to finish xx keep well and safe xxMinka, love that texture effect you have used on that busy boaters, what one did you use x
Hi Annie, no I think it was while posting , i didnt keep a copy of this one so cant go back a peek at it, sorry. I seemed to have started something with my black and white, they are popping up everywhere, lol xx Glad it inspired everyone xx
Bit in the dumps at the mo, finally got a delivery spot for tomorrow, under vonerable people, all went well ,klk to pay and the server was to overwelmed to take the money, it said ring the special land line # it had an hour wait as did my bank, the slot timed itself out and they only supplied one slot, so no food. How are you doing xxnice Work Dorothy, well done, saving anything you make as an element has to be a Png, or if it is multi layered save as psp, once you save it as a jpeg you would need to extract it and then save as a png. Papers are the only things I save as a jpeg and finished projects. If you have your picture still as a psp and want to recover/save each element as a png, klk on the item / klk copy / klk paste as new image them save that element as a png. Hope this helps
All my own work, except frame from pixel scrappers, swan picture was taken in Southwold, the other swans where old stock that I made a sticker out of x
REvised
Day 6 Concentration, all these pattern needed concentration, and I had to sit and concentrate on being still at Knottsberry park in LA while she cut this silhouette , I have been wanted to do a mono picture so it was a challenge.
Carole can we have a tut on turning thing at angles, with the pick tool, once you move it off centre is is difficult to get it back and straight even more so when you have more than one item on an angle. Image rotation isnt fine enough to recover something off centre. Thank you
a late night play around last night
We the over 70’s are quarantined, have to isolate ourselves, easy for me as I have been housebound still christmas, just the shopping is a problem, the support I had has disappeared, as they can no longer visit me, and supermarkets delivery’s are booked for 3 weeks, I have manged to get a slot for the 4th, but there shelves for what I need are sold out. The streets are empty outside and the schools shut down on Friday. Its Mothers day here on Sunday, so many mothers will miss there visit from there children Even the TV programme have ceased filming, so all our soaps are being stretched out over a longer period, twice a week instead of everyday to make the ones recorded last longer.
Heard from my cousin in Spain today, everything is closed down except supermarkets and pharmacy’s, which like us is limited on supply’s, they to are in lockdown, thankfully my cousin still has his career as he has Huntingdon’s , the streets there are patrolled by guards and the police, and those found outside have to prove they have a good reason for doing so.
Lynda love that picture of Flagstaff, not quite as snowy as when I was there, is Bob big Boy still there, my son loved there Strawberry Pie, took one back to the motel, and he and his brother devoured the lot.
Day 4
Yes Carole in answer to your question , it was this page, the campus.
Sorry I am behind, spent all day yesterday and today trying to get a food delivery , fully booked for 3 weeks, not even a collection available. I wonder if these people have actually ordered food, or just booked a space which some supermarkets do. I managed to finally get one but not till 4th . To top that my lady from a charity that comes every fortnight has been told not to visit me, she would always pick up any odd meds or things I need. xxx -
