I used the kit that Carole suggested and used something besides my great grand kids! (almost a first!)
It was fun bringing up this memory again. For my “journal paper”, I used one of the papers included in the kit, put a white layer behind it, lowered the transparency quite a bit and then used one of the Cassel distressed scripts.
Really enjoying seeing everyone’s layouts!
Everyone is so creative with their ideas! I love it!
Here is my Day 3: As you can imagine, our family is anxiously awaiting the arrival of my great grandson Tucker. Mommy is pleased that the doctor is going on vacation so she can have him a little early. She is READY!! This picture was from a couple of weeks ago and she is still teaching.
Great job Barbara! I like the bacon and cut sandwich!
I like my workspace color to be light gray, my background color is medium gray. I use mostly layers, materials and tool options. I wish I could get larger numbers on the ruler as mine are so hard to see. I have everything set now so I can see things.
I had a blast with the sandwich and place setting. Rather than doing things I should be doing, I played extra hard, adding a saucer and a dessert plate and a place mat.
I’m Teri and I live in Ontario, Oregon, just a scant 2 miles from the Idaho Border. If any of you are gardeners and follow Garden Answer on Facebook, I am from the same town that Laura is from and we are a tiny community!
I’ve used PSP for many years but under used it most of the time. In just the last couple of years, I have branched out and gotten a little braver. However, my memory is not always the greatest so I need refresher courses! I print up a lot of instructions!! 😀
Antonia, I also do Genealogy and did a couple of layouts that featured one family. Loved doing it and I’m sure I will be doing more.
As always, I so appreciate the wonderful comments!!
Our little great grand son is arriving in 3 weeks. Mom is more than ready! They have his room all ready and just had his baby shower. I made the plaid “paper”, but the other things are elements I’ve picked up over time.
Day 7, final layout
Caden’s favorite color is blue so I decided to do a silver title instead of gold. I need to find some better textures for the metals. Not really happy with the masks but they are what they are.
My text sizes are messed up. the small February at the bottom was at 100 and I had to resize it to get what I wanted. Caden’s name was at least a 250 and then I enlarged that one too. I use the 3600 x 3600 size all the time and never had to resort to those large sizes.
Anyway, except for my glitches, of which I’ve had too many, I have enjoyed this, even the second time around. I had forgotten some of these lessons!! Thanks Carole!!
Day 6: Not really a BOKEH fan, but I wanted to follow the instructions so that’s what I did.
This is our lovely granddaughter who will be training to be a diesel mechanic!
I took the colors from her graduation picture because I wanted the red for the Valentine’s Day theme. I used several fonts, mc-sweetie 1, I found my valentine hearted 2, allura and the hearts on the ribbon are the bonus hearts font. The ribbon is one I had in my stash, VF_Oakley_Ribbon_04. I recolored it, but it isn’t quite the color I was looking for.
Day 4: I’ve never had to work so hard! Computer and software problems. Ugh! Oh, had two teeth filled today which didn’t help.
Anyway, finally finished the on for today. This is my oldest daughter’s youngest. She is six years older than our youngest so there’s a space between the kids. Our adopted son was killed in a car wreck at 21 (1997) and he never gave us any grand kids.
Posted this yesterday…. in 2018’s forum!!
I see what I did, I posted it in the wrong year!!!!!
Michele,
Couldn’t have posted the same thing. I worked on this a half a day yesterday, having problems all the way! Elements are new ones I recently picket up and one of the pictures was from last Labor day. I don’t know what I did last year, maybe it’s similar? I don’t remember what it looked like.

Day 3: Our oldest grandson Cody and his family. The paper is by Cytisia Coeursmaman’s and I used Passionate font. I took a heart that I had in my file and added the button. I decided to distress the edges of the paper used Carole’s distressed edge script.
Day 2 of Love Story 2019 is our darling McKi. My font is Belattrix2 with a Respective Swash added at the end. I used a paper from SyrenaE. Hoping to keep all the layouts in a love theme using Valentine related item.
I did this one this afternoon. It’s amazing to me that I needed to use the instructions so often even though I is PSP a LOT and I have since 2009! I am enjoying going back over these skills to hone up a bit.
I used every from the files that Carole had us download. The one I chose was the Escale Amoureuse Alinamaria.
Tucker is my 2nd great grand child.
Great job, DarleneK!
Once I got over being brain dead, it wasn’t that hard to complete. It does seem that most of my photos are landscape! Makes things difficult! However, I had fun. Thanks Carole for the template and the instructions!!
I’ve done a couple of other projects so will upload those. Hope you like.
Micfin, I love the horses! I wouldn’t have thought of that on my own!
I’ve done a number of projects recently, but I forgot to post them here so I’m catching for those of you not on Facebook.
Having a problem balancing between my graphics projects and my genealogy and my back pain.
I’ve done a Facebook cover photo for December and Christmas. For the December one, I saved a copy in PSP so that I can just change the Month. Still need to do something for my oldest birthday, Dec 13.
Linda Tucker provided a gate picture that I immediately saw as a doorway into a secret garden. This is what I ended up with.
My 2nd attempt at Out of Bounds. I didn’t like the first one.
What great layouts! Some real talent here!
These layouts are from 2011, using My Memories software. I can see so many things I’d change now. Most of the work was done using a designer pack that I won all Southwestern!! Fabulous gift!!
The images are from the Cleaveland Homestead, my hubby’s grandparents and the 6 children they had living at the time. Winters were spent in Moab so the kids could go to school. They traveled from Collbran, Colorado to the Fisher Valley, Utah by horse and wagon. Their house burned down in Collbran killling two of their girls.
Although I posted these in Facebook, I decided to post in here as well. This is my middle grandchild Brennen. He posed perfectly at our family reunion on Labor Day this year and when Carole did the Spooky class, I figured that this pose would fit just right. I took the backdrops off of the internet, searching for “Dark Woods”. Just don’t look real close! 😀
I am so impressed by everyone’s work! So much talent and creativity!
Thank you for the comments about our babies. We ended up with 8 kids. The problem is that I am outside so much that I don’t get any scrap booking done!
I have never built an element before. I wanted a bow I could use for any pages I do for our goats, so… After I watched the bow making class, I did this today. (It was a beautiful day and I should have been outside working!!) I had to build the ribbon I wanted first. Started with the plain grosgrain ribbon, found a goat and extracted him. Added the goat to the ribbon. I added an almost transparent layer of the ribbon over the top of the goats. Then I built the bow.
Fun!!!
Here’s Chocolate and her little guy. So said to see her lose the other little buck and a doeling.
I don’t have many farm related elements 🙁
O – Oats, especially molasses covered ones are the best, just ask our goats!
