In May and June I worked on a scrapbook about the unusual cold temperatures we had in Houston and Texas February 2021. I lost most of my plants, some of which I have had for 21 years. The scrapbook only shows a few that were lost.
Houston, Texas
I started October working on four misc. graphics to experiment and learn different methods of combining and manipulating photos . One of the graphics (attached) was inspired by a trip to Panama. The result is the attached scrapbook page of two events during that trip. I had a lot of trouble with my computer shutting down because of the number of photos but I was able to complete the project.
Here is my submittal for the September Tree theme. I was already working on two file with trees and special backgrounds so I made a few revisions and added more trees. I have upgraded to 2021.
I have been spending a lot of time trying to learn how to make better use of Paintshop Pro 2020. I do a lot of various studies utilizing different methods Cassel has mentioned lately.
This past week I selected a photograph (see original photo attached) of some trees along a creek in the Texas Hill country. T was experimenting with blending different things to the photo and after discovering a particular blend I liked I copied the blended photo and matched them together to make an imaginary panorama. Then I added snow using the Brush Variance Palettes and turned the graphics into a new imaginary snow covered panorama photo. The final version is attached.Sorry UI accidently loaded it twice
Here is my submittal for the July ScrapLift Challenge. I had a lot of issues with the text and items would disappear. It was sort of fun and kept me busy during these stay at home times.
Here is my post for travel to Nova Scotia in a Travel bus. We enjoyed the trip. I particularly liked Peggy’s Cove . Posting is for 7 days of travel.
It has been a few months since I first started learning PSP by joining
the Scrapbook Campus program. Even though I am not a scrapbooker I
have been able to apply many things from the classes. I now have a
Diamond membership which has helped tremendously. I can study the
classes at my leisure. My memory allows me to forget things I learn sometimes.I have been working on a project about photos of flowers that are
extracted then placed on a black background. When I first started
this hobby I would paint out the backgrounds which took a lot of time.
Now I can extract subjects and items using techniques available in
PSP.My first project is now completed, printed and bound at 8.5″x 8.5″.
It has only 15 pages but that’s a lot for someone like me who has to
make a lot of corrections each day. I try to utilize what was learned
in each class. Sometimes that requires a complete restructuring of the
design.Attached are the pages of the book to review. I printed the pages at home using a template I put together to make sure each page is identical in size and shape. The left side is the bonding area. The book was thermal bound at an office supply store. The pages are best viewed using a digital slideshow program. A photo of the book is included.

I am now preparing a scrapbook on each of the flowers with a black background. I try to use what Cassel teaches in her classes. Attached are three examples of my pages.
