Here are 2 other clocks and lesson on the “fake shadow” blog helped me greatly to highlight the numbers and other elements that should have no shadow.
Annie, your clock is very realistic and I like it very much, the background too. Moreover, you have surpassed us in terms of the positioning of the numbers relative to ours. The hand clock are very well done.

Trish, I found the trick. Once the numbers are done, do it like this:
1 horizontal mirror as Carole recommends
2 select the numbers 4-5-6-7-8 and turn the selection into a layer
3 remove the digits 4-5-6-7-8 on the horizontal mirror layer and then make vertical mirror (this layer is the base)
4 layer the numbers 4-5-6-7-8 and turn the selection into a layer for each digit
5 on each layer make image flip horizontal
6 When finished, merge layers
7 copy this layer on a layer 2400×2400
8 distortion effects polar coordinatesThat’s it, it’s magic despite a little work upstream!!
