The pic with the tree was free from Vectorstock. I used some papers I had gotten a few years ago from Kelsey Inspired Studios to create the frame, ribbons, and text. The font is Orange Fizz. The ladies near the tree are my avatar and the one on the left is one of the characters from the game. I had some other ideas, but as usual, I ran out of time. 🙂
I signed up for the Treehugger newsletter, too!
Marie-Claire, there is so much to learn on the campus. I adore your folded tree! The entire layout is wonderful.
Now that I have more time to play, I can see how to change colors on the layers. Thanks so much for helping, ladies.
Thanks, Sue. I did choose from the SOP, but, as usual, I didn’t have enough time to play with it more. Once my daily deadline comes up, I have to go with what I have. I’ll try more options now. (I didn’t even think of the block tutorial; my brain is like a sieve LOL.)
Here are a couple of things I did last month, but forgot to post.
Gotta Be the Hair: I grabbed a color palette from color-hex.com and used the Change to Target brush on copies of the original b&w photo. The background paper was made using a reflection texture on a couple of different layers. (Wish I had made note of the settings; I always think I’ll remember, silly me.) The font is Vogue.
Silver and Gold: I used a tip that I recently learned from Carol ~ If you hold shift when you rotate the pivot handle, it automatically rotates 15°. I don’t remember how many layers I had, but I think I missed a couple. The font is Streetwear. I used drop shadows to highlight and shadow everything.
“Double-purchases in the store: typically, the system will let you know if you already purchased something EXCEPT if you put the product directly into your cart from your wishlist. But as it has happened before, I would gladly refund that double purchase if it happens.”
Wow, I really wish I had know that. I almost always put the product into my cart from my wishlist. I usually just check to see what I have in PSP because sometimes I buy your products from Corel if they are having a sale. I’ll have to start checking my purchases from My Download List in the store, too. From now on I won’t add stuff from the wishlist directly. Thanks for the info.
Yearly option? I wasn’t aware of that either. I wonder how we switch.
I took advantage of the BFD at 4:00 yesterday morning…16 items in all!
I made this several years ago. I used one of Cassel’s corner brushes and gave them an inner bevel. I love using the corner brushes for painting or erasing; they are very versatile.
Thanks so much, Corrie. It can be a little difficult to keep track so hopefully, I’ve entered enough info in the Image Information Details tab so I don’t send the same card to the same person. 😀
I haven’t had a chance to participate in this workshop, but I downloaded everything so I can do it at a later date.
It’s been delightful looking at everyone’s results. Your personalities come through along with your creativity and I love it!
My goodness, I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the cards. It’s wonderful how there are so many different interpretations.
I didn’t have much time today so I adapted something I originally made for AprilDawn to use as a birthday card. I used a free cluster from DSS (Digital Scrabooking Studio). Clusters can be so useful, especially when short on time. The background paper is my own creation. The font is Walnut Moth, free from FontBundles.
As usual, I am loving everyone’s projects.
I had enough time to get “scrapbooky” the other day for my Divas. I used various items from Janet Kemp’s Independence Day mini kit from Pixel Scrapper. (I don’t think I’ll ever get used to their new name, Digital Scrapbooking.) The font is Gunmetal, free from “I got it so long ago that I don’t remember” lol.
Very creative, Lynda.
Nancy, I used to use the front flap of a card to decorate my presents.
What a surprise, Bonnie!
Love it, Marie-Claire. Beautiful interpretation of this challenge.
This is mind-blowingly wonderful!
By the way, I just love what everyone is doing this month. I get inspiration from all of you. <3
Thanks so much, Ann and Sue.
Ann. I play with different colors and settings to get the outer bevels to my satisfaction. It really depends on the background. The one I used for Friday Night Out started as a randomized pick that I then tweaked.
I use the dimension scripts sometimes, too, Sue, when I have ample time to play with them. As you know having a deadline every day, I’m often rushed.
We tend to focus on inner bevels so I thought I would show any newbies what can be done with the 3D Outer Bevel effect. I don’t know how visible the effect is in this 600 pixel pic, but I used it around the party pic and the text. The background is simply an enlarged version of the party pic blurred (gaussian) with a 75 radius. The font is EightTrack, free from fontspace.
Mary, that is just too cute!
LOL, Lynda.
Congrats on the milestone, April!
What a great idea for a workshop. I’m sure many of us use PSP to make cards and will learn a lot from you.
Just having a little fun with the season. Happy Halloween!
Corrie, I’m so happy you’re doing better.
As for note taking, I use the Image: Image Information option to make my notes. The Creator Information tab gives you lots of room. That way I can keep track of everything I used or did. I always add the fonts, effects, and file names of any elements/papers used. Without doing this, I would be clueless!
Thanks so much, Susan & Corrie.
I don’t think I’ve posted any of the Daily Look pics in a while. Since the game has been repeating old themes every day, I’ve been lazily using my old pics. This one was an exception, though, as I wasn’t happy with my old one.
I found the beautiful woman in a jewelry ad and used the albumen frame that comes with PSP. The background is by PixelScrapper designer Jessica Dunn from her Flower Power Blended Papers kit. I used a free cluster from Clipartmax and recolored it. The font is a demo of Victorian Decade; I don’t remember which site I got it from, but it’s easily available.
