        Hi Cassel and class

Having been through the 7 classes, I thought I’d finish off with something dear to me and mix in lots of the things I’ve learned.
My subject is my son Simon, now a grown man of 32 and expecting his own child soon. Although this was a rush job to use the techniques, I now have the tools to go back over his life and our time together and make a full scrapbook of memories, rather than envelopes of photos sitting in a shoebox. I may have to d a full book of his pre-teen years spent in south Africa and all our adventures there.

One thing I found useful (and I don’t think mentioned in the tutorials), I found it much easer to navigate the umpteen layers, especially duplicates, if I renamed each layer to something meaningful (leaf, copy of leaf etc) I know this adds a little more time to the project but having learnt the hard way by deleting the wrong layer, I find it useful

See ya around, thanks to all

Sorry I decided the current scraps were a bit too girly for me so I pulled some aircraft pics and practised with the “shortcuts” for cutting/pasting etc.

May go back to flowery themes and try again using background papers etc later

Keep up the good stuff – learning loads about post production to enhance my photos

          See you all tomorrow

Back to school Day 3 lesson done and (at least partially) absorbed.
needed a quick pic to post to make my friends jealous of my recent Caribbean cruise!
Next is to try to set up my own website to post my projects onto – much better than just having millions of pics sitting on my hard drive.

              See you all next time

                  Hi all
I can’t wait to get started on using PSP as it’s meant to be. I’ve used it for pic resizing and basic correction for years but all my photos are just stacked on my hard drive and never seen. I’m hoping that scrap booking my various trips will allow me to present them in an interesting manner and not just boring slideshows.

And a good way to avoid some awful UK winter weather! Maybe I could scrapbook the pics in greyscale! Think I’ll start with my holiday snaps.

                  cheers to all

                  Graham
