Well, this started in September (Sunday) LOL I won’t put the page here that tells the story. You won’t be able to read it. It is on Facebook. I saw a mouse Sunday and I just freaked out! I don’t drive, so I couldn’t go buy traps. I called my daughter who lives in town to see if she would go get some, but she didn’t answer, so, I sent her a text. I called my daughter Heather who lives about 20 miles away to tell her what was happening. She offered to bring up her cat. Her cat is named Mama and is quite unique. She is more tempered like a dog that a cat. She likes car rides and if you go for a walk, she will walk with you without a leash. She loves to snuggle on your shoulder with her head buried in your hair. It was finally decided that she would bring Mama up. Mama is great at catching anything! As soon as Mama came in, we took her to the refrigerator where the mouse was hiding. She smelled it and just waited. I walked Heather out and when I came in Mama had it in her mouth heading to my bedroom. The mouse got away and went under my bed. Mama just sat and waited some more. I kept checking on her, and in about 1/2 hr she had it killed! When she walked away from it, I threw it in the field beside my apartment. I made 2 pages for my book. 1 tells the story and the one here with pictures. I’ve since set sticky traps around (away from Heidi) in case another gets in. Ewwwwwww!
Here’s my results for Lab 06-07. I made it a Fall theme since it is just turning Fall here, so I did not use the water font. I will see what I can come up with to use it. It is a darling font! I’m a collector of templates! I rarely use them for my own photos, but I can’t stop collecting them! It’s nice to use them here.
Beautiful pages Sue!

Great job ladies. The one I did was of a son of a friend of mine. I think he is darling. I enjoyed the module very much!

Annie, this is sooo pretty! Great Job!
I did mine with Heidi and the template supplied. This is our 1st anniversary together. I adopted her from a no-kill shelter where she had been for over a year. The volunteers were so happy to see her get a forever home they paid her adoption fees!
I put the envelope, the rope/tag and silhouette in the layout. I enjoyed this module very much!
I used Snickerdoodle Designs kit Pumpkin Patch

I forgot to make a page of my grandson Danny’s 1st day of school. I had made a desktop, but that’s way to small. So, I made it page size.
After a lot of trouble (my own doing) and help from Carole, I finished the Eyelet Fabric Tutorial. The last try was sooo simple! DUH!
Anyway, I got through it and I added an overlay so it didn’t look so flat. Here is my result:
Hugs & Thank you Carole!

I’ve been busy. A friend of mine had another grand baby. She wanted me to make her some QP’s in various sizes. I’ve made 9 so far. I used Snickerdoodle Designs Collection You Are A Masterpiece. Here’s 2 of them.

My grandson came over and spent the night with me. He brought his poker kit and wanted me to play poker with hi, I did and kicked his butt! He was sooo surprised I knew how to play poker. Here’s the page I made for my yearly book:

Christina, I love what you did adding all the papers. Thank you for the color code! I made mine with a bunch of pictures of my grandson Danny. As you know, he is 11 now and not into having his picture taken. But, I miss the little man he was. Of course, I can’t tell him that. I don’t want him to feel bad about growing up. He is growing into an awesome young man. Very polite and thoughtful. The poem in my page I wrote for him when he was around 2 months old. I was rocking him and it just came to me and I had to write it down. I hope you enjoy it. This was a tough challenge for me especially since I only see out of one eye. I use the guides and do the best I can to get them even. I made one photo the size I needed. Then I selected it, added a layer and pasted the next picture into the selection. I de-selected and moved the top picture to where I wanted it and repeated the process till I got all my pictures loaded. I then used Cassel’s script to add borders to each one. I gave them all a double drop shadow so they would show up better on the dark paper. I’ll add the bigger picture to Facebook so you can see it better.

Sue – how unique and pretty! Great Job!

I finished mine last night. I did the hand drawn letter and I hated it. My hands are shaky and I’m just not good at it. I loved learning how to make your own stitch and I had sooo much fun with that. I want to make more, The string and flower are in the layout.
Annie you did a wonderful job on yours!

I have these 2 pages in my Siblings book. It is about my grandparents in Kentucky.
I’m loving seeing the pages here and the stories about them!
Hugs to all,
DeLoris
I don’t talk about my paternal grandparents, but my maternal grandparents walked on water as far as I was concerned. My grandmother “Granny Mayo” would take us fishing (she would tear her house dresses up and sew us play clothes) and bring her rifle. She would shoot birds from flight and tear them apart with her bare hands to bait our cane pole hooks. We would help her run clothes through her wringer washer and break up green beans. Our “Granddaddy Mayo” would take us across an old wooden swinging bring in his pickup truck (we were in the back) and the boards on the bridge would split and fly up in the air. We would help him hoe corn and never thought we were working. We were from Norfolk, Va (just dumb city kids) and they were in Eastern Kentucky (Floyd County). Sooo many wonderful memories of summer vacations as a child. My brother called drawing water from the well, getting home made water. They had running water, but used the well for drinking water.
The only picture I had of their home (my grandfather built it himself) was sooo damaged, I gave it a painted effect. It was on top of a hill. It had a smokehouse on the left and a root cellar below that. Their chicken coop was at the back of the house as was the barn. The barn was at the bottom of the hill so was the well. That tree had a swing in it in the summer when I was a child where I would help my Granny break green beans. Where all the brown grass is was all corn fields in the Summer! Great memories!
She was Virgie and he was LeGrand. His mother was a Blackfoot Indian. They are both buried at Jinny Wiley State Park, Ky in a track of land the state did not want and it was left a cemetery when the state built the dam/park.

My grandson Danny spent the night with me Saturday night. Now that he is 11, there isn’t much chance of him doing it. He has his own room, but wanted to sleep on the couch. I took these pictures while he was sleeping. I made this page for my yearly book and used Kimeric Kreations “For The Love Of Summer” to make it. I don’t think you can purchase her kits any longer since the Digi Chick closed and she has passed away. I will miss her amazing talent!
Danny also left me a bug and I feel really bad. My throat and chest hurts. He didn’t go to school yesterday and his mom is sick too. Ya gotta love when school 1st starts!
Rae, your pages are beautiful!

We will love seeing what you do whenever you post them!

Rosie, don’t stress over speed, just enjoy creating! This isn’t a race. Some work faster than others. Truly, it takes me the biggest part of a day to make a page.
