Carole, that was funny & Patricia a very sweet story.
I don’t have a story about a present, but, I have a funny Christmas story.
When I was 15 I moved to Ky to live with my mother’s sister. She was my Aunt Ree. She had a wonderful sense of humor and I was scared to death having lived in multiple foster homes. We made Gingerbread Men to hang on the tree my Uncle Phillip & I went up in the mountains and cut ourselves. We were decorating the cookies, and she took chocolate sprinkles and put them in the Gingerbread Men’s armpits and crotches! She giggled and I was shocked! We hung them on the tree and no one noticed. This is one of my fondest memories!

I made a layout of my cat Heidi sticking her paw in my grandson Danny’s milk. I also bought Carole’s candy cane tubes and used her candy cane alphabet to make a layout from a picture I took of Heidi last year.
I’m having fun this month making layouts! 🙂

I’ve been working on a 12 Days of Christmas Challenge at Oscraps. It has been fun, but I’m getting tired of the kit! LOL I’ll keep collecting the daily downloads and have a full kit to use for this coming Christmas and years to come.

Gifts don’t have to come in packages! Our family makes Buckeyes every year for Christmas. In 2015 my youngest daughter Heather taught my grandson Danny how to make Buckeyes! Gift? Yes! Watching my daughter teach my grandson a family tradition was one on the most precious gifts I have ever received. It was taught to me from my Aunt Ree, then I taught my daughters and now it has been passed on to Danny by his Aunt Heather. To me, you can’t get a better gift than that! I am blessed!

Last year was a special surprise for my daughter Heather. She loves the movie It’s a Wonderful Life and owns a copy of the leg lamp. I got her the Hallmark Ornament Leg lamp for her tree. You pull the chain and it lights up! She was absolutely thrilled! 1st thing she put on her tree this year!

Cristina, Thank you! You will never see another cat like Mama. She likes to ride in cars, she will walk with you and stay along side you without a leash. She has a healing presence about her that makes you feel at peace when you hold her. Her down side is she doesn’t play with other cats. Her and Heidi do not get along at all. They hiss a lot, but do not fight.

Here’s my November page. Both my daughters were here for Thanksgiving and my youngest daughter Heather brought her cat Mama. I caught her laying on the top of one of my pillows and had to get this pose! I used Snickerdoodle Designs This Is Me November to make it.

Here’s my January Page. It is of my baby Heidi. I’m not a photographer and I don’t have a flower garden, so my calender’s pages are things that have happened with my family and I this year. I don’t have much chance anymore to take pictures of my grandson, so some of my pages will be things I have done at home. Not much interest to anyone but me, so I won’t be sharing them all. But, I will have it printed when it is complete. I am enjoying making every page and learning the little additions Carole is teaching us.

Lynn, I downloaded the trials for both and used a photo of my brother from when he was in the Marines in 1962. I did not see enough of a difference to warrant the purchase of the programs, but it was fun playing! I don’t do enough scrapbooking these days with my grandson being 11 to make purchasing additional programs worth it.

Carole sent out an email asking about our pets. I’m sooo sorry she lost Butterscotch. 🙁 Pets are our children too. I love my Heidi and she is such a blessing to me. I buy her toys, but she prefers the cardboard boxes they come in better. I have started decorating for Christmas (I’m just in the mood NOW! LOL) and when I emptied the lights out of the container they were in, Heidi took it over. I’m going to move it into my office and replace the cardboard box that is in there. It looks better! I think Heidi just likes the paper towels that is in it to snuggle into and nap.
I used Karen of Snickerdoodle Designs This Is Me November Collection to make another page for my yearly photo book.
