Michele, every month there is a new module in the Lab. Each module is inspired by one layout chosen by Cassel and has 3 video tutorials of each technique.
Besides the videos, you can download a notebook with PDF file. You have also inspirations layouts focusing on Titles, Elements, Colors/Patterns/Textures, and a sketch/template that you can download. Besides that, you can download a free font. For my needs and means, this is perfect.
Sometime last year or the year before, I don’t remember, she offered in a newsletter a link to download for free the PDF file of the Lab 5-Module 09. That is how I got to know in detail what is the LAB. And if you register the Lab you can watch the videos anytime you want… this week, this month, next month 🙂
Here are some images so you can have an idea.
Michele, thank you!! I will try not to forget 🙂
The painted wood technique is from the Lab 7-08 (August) … I love those short videos tutorials. Like you I have to win the lottery to become a Diamond member 😀 …Right now I can only afford the LAB, and I am so happy with it!
This is another frame I made based on Cassel’s Framing 101 Masterclass… This is a great class! I used the Painted Wood technique from the Lab 7-08. The photo is from Pixabay.
This is the frame I made following Sue’s tips on “What did you do in November” post – Santa Claus frame. The frames she makes are lovely and she is so generous to share her knowledge. I will try and see I can make the others too.
Sue and Michele, thanks for the comments! I made this page/frame inspired by a layout I saw online a long time ago and after watching Cassel’s framing class, I decided to make it.
Sue, like Michele, I wish I had your memory to make this frame just from memory… I have practiced this one and the others but only following step by step. 🙂
Hi Michelle, very nice layout and colors… I love the font and it fits so well the LO. I couldn’t watch live the ParticleShop webinar from Corel Discovery Center but I will do sometime later next week.
I am copying Cassel’s tip for drawing triangles… we never know when we are going to need it. 😉
I decided to make this layout including a frame based on the Framing 101 class. I still have to try some of Sue’s frames tips.
The paper, border, and flowers elements are from DiHillerDesigns_Good Vibes freebie. I used cass-Screwheads tubes and cass-CloudAlpha freebie. The font is Bradley Hand ITC.
Marlene, thanks for sharing! I will definitely take a look at this site.
Sue, all of them are beautiful
Michele, both layouts are beautiful. I watched the live presentation and it was really good. I have to watch it again before trying anything.
Dawn, your card is amazing! The flowers that you started with just a petal, the bud, the stamens… I also love the silver lace and the beautiful paper you created. Great work!
Dawn, thank you so much for your kind comment. I really appreciate. Best wishes to you too. 🙂
This is my contribution to this challenge. It is a recipe for Himbeer-Baiser-Rolle or Raspberry Meringue Roulade (garnished with redcurrants) that I made for the first time and it worked! I used the Focal Point Template 4 from Scrapping with Liz as a base.
Cassel’s tutorials: Button element; Confetti pattern (Lab 7-09) and Plaid 4 pattern (Lab 8-01). I also used cass-Notebook-Loosepage1 freebie.
Dawn, your card is so cute! I am sure whoever is going to receive it, will be very happy. You did an amazing work coloring the rose, and these corner punches are beautiful. Lovely card!
Dawn, thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate. <3
micfin and Dawn, your pages are just lovely!!! I really enjoy seeing all these amazing layouts with so many details and techniques. I learn a lot from all of you.
I haven’t had much time to comment or to do anything lately due to travelling, Christmas and then health issues in the family. Hopefully, I will be able to concentrate and create something in future. I also want to thank you, ladies, for the kind comments and encouragement when I post something. It really helps. And big thanks to Cassel for great tutorials.
I wish everyone again a Happy and Healthy 2018!
Mary and Dawn, great layouts! I wish everyone here a Happy and Healthy New Year!
micfin, your image is amazing! The window frame is great and fits perfectly with the photo… The font is really nice, and I love your idea of adding snow using Cassel’s “How to Add Rain Tutorial“. I watched it yesterday and it is great… I will try to do something.
I wish you, micfin, Cassel, and everyone here Happy Holidays!
Sue, your tags are so nice… it really gives a personal touch to any gift!
Dawn, this is a lovely Christmas card and the embossed background looks great. Thank you for your kind wishes! Happy Holidays to you, family and friends. <3
DeLoris, I watched the video and I was touched by the loving family memories you created with this book. Amazing work! Congratulations!
micfin, both images are great and so are all the techniques you’ve used… I like the fonts very much, and they fit perfect to each project.
Dawn, your page is lovely… I like the colors, the embossed overlay, and the font. Like micfin, I am very happy to see you creating and posting here. 🙂
I haven’t done anything this month and hopefully, after Christmas, I will be able to practice the tutorials and participate in the challenges.

Dawn, I am happy to see you back on the Forum and hope everything is ok by now with you. Best wishes!
Dianne, these trees are really cute!
micfin, lovely layouts! The snow effect came out so good… I have to try that.
Really lovely and inspiring cards posted here! Congratulations everyone.
Lois, I am sure everyone would love to see more of your cards. I also post even after the challenge is over. Like Cassel said, we get inspired by all different ideas.
Dawn, I am sorry to hear you had health issues and hope everything is fine now. Glad to see you back here! 🙂
December 12, 2017 at 3:45 pm in reply to: December Tut/Tech Challenge – Add yourself to any scene #16306This is my contribution to this challenge. Here am I climbing the Everest on The Balcony, just a few hours to the Summit. As I am better acclimatized than my fellow climbers down below, I don’t need any special clothing or oxygen 🙂
I just created this for the fun and because it didn’t take much time to do like I usually need for other challenges. I would love to participate in the other challenges but I will be away again for a few days, and also want to do some place cards for Christmas. After that, I will try to catch up with it.
December 10, 2017 at 10:02 am in reply to: December Tut/Tech Challenge – Add yourself to any scene #16254Hi Wanda, both images are very nice examples of the technique. Let’s see if I can come up with something. 🙂
I’ve registered for this challenge but I don’t think I will be able to participate… being away and the holidays make it difficult to sit down and create something. Nevertheless, I am happy that I have these nice templates created by Cassel, and I am being inspired by these amazing cards posted here. Congratulations everyone!
Great cards, everyone!
Sue, Dawn and micfin, really beautiful layouts. Great work, love them all!
Hi Claudia, I also like doing challenges to practice the techniques taught by Cassel, and to use her scripts, tubes etc. Hope to see your projects here. Welcome to the Forum.
