Janette dank je en ik zie dat je de masterclass van zondagavond ook hebt genoten! Soms kan het ook wel even in het Nederlands hoor.
S = Speedskating
Lynda you really enjoyed that masterclass! I did too but haven’t had the time to watch it again, let alone play ith it. The only thing I used so far was the text cutter, because that’s a very simple tool and I could remember how to use it.
Because one of the criteria for this challenge was a barcode, I immediately thought of the Magazine Challenge of last year and decided to make another page for a magazine. I used one of the templates but changed it a bit to suit what I had in mind. I made a text paper and a doilie. The barcode I did last year and for the stitching I used the Decorative Stitches Brush by Carole. My photo of this spent flowers I took last week and I used another one for the title. Thanks to last evening’s masterclass I understand the text cutting tool now, I don’t understand why I was afraid of it! Fonts are Stencil and for the text Gil Sans. There are no shadows because this is suppost to be a Magazine page.
B = Badminton
Ann I use my phone to take photos too and I’m very pleased with the results I get. For me it’s good enough and I don’t have to take a camera with me all the time! But I must add I buy my phones with the camera specifications in mind; I don’t care about music or games on my phone.
Y = Yell
The P is for “PAULUSHOFJE” which means the PAULUS Almshouses. It consists of 13 little dwellings; build in 1681 by Justus de Nobelaer for the housing of poor women and is situated in the village centre. There still live people in most of them and a couple are in use as a museum. It complex is a National Monument.

Thank you!!!
Carole a question: I know that in this challenge I have to use the criteria above to make a lay-out, but can I use more elements or papers? I have done similair challenges but I forgot.
Mary your games page was a lot of work but it certainly paid of!
J = Junior
Marie-Claire the colors of your Doggie Walk are fantastic, I like them very much.
Rene a very touching page for your relative!
I have 2 already made and downsized layouts in my projects folder which I did last year. I have shown them earlier and in it are my 2 granddaughters and their favorite sport. Last year I printed these and send them by mail to the girls and when I was visiting last May those printouts had pride of place in their rooms.

W = Wembly Stadium in London where last Sunday the final of the European Ladies Soccer Championship took place and the English Lionesses triumphed.
O = OUT no explanation needed!
I will be very happy with a demonstration of the warpbrush versus the warp mesh and all their different settings. I use them both but I am not confident doing so. If the others hadn’t brought up this question I would have done so.
J = Judo
Ann your Logan page is very nice, your family must be very happy with a grandma/greatgrandma that is so creative!
Before embarking on a new layout I just finished the BasicScrapCourse module 7. My Tribe by Marisa Lerin is the kit I used, but I had to find some greenery from my stock because the kit hadn’t any. It was fun to do this 2 new modules, a great way to rehearse some techniques and learn a few new ones too.
Sue and Pirkko lovely layouts and so very different from th same starting point HOT! Sue I love your wordart on this one.
I have an oleander in a container on our patio and it is performing fantastic this year due to the hot and dry weather we have. With the climate change our summers are getting warmer with really hot periods and my oleander loves it, so I didn’t have to think about what to do for this last minute challenge. I recycled a template from the Mask Workshop and changed it a bit for what I had in mind. The fonts are SQUAD, SpicyFire and Angelica
Sue done on all four, They are all great but I like Winter is a season of magic best, just like Carole said it’s a bit different and stands out from the “crowd” of very lovely flowers and insects etc. Good luck!
For the BasicScrapCourse new module 6 I choose a photo from my recent trip of the mighty Columbia River. Because it is a tutorial of the Course I tend not to deviate from it in order to learn from it as best as I can. The papers and elements are from the 1000Bundle by Marisa Lerin on digitalscrapbook.com. I got this bundle when I started to use their site over 2 years ago now.
Ladies thank you so much for all the positive comments on my pretty in pink and you all made beautiful pages too!
Ann thank you and I just read your post about module 6 of the Basic Scrap Course and that one is on my agenda now!
Pirkko you made me laugh with these two!
Ann I have seen the new editions to the Basic Scrap Course also and I have started on module 6 but I’m far from finished yet. We have such nice and sometimes hot weather that I’m mostly outside these days, but it will come in due time.
I like the DIY challenges a lot and here is mine. I’m still experimenting with the sketch and watercolor techniques and used those on one of the many photos I took when visiting in the States. This is the rhododendron photo used in 3 ways. All the colors on my layout are taken from the photo and yes it is a bit pink. When I was in in America the rhododendrons were in full bloom but this is the star of the show and it is the state flower of Washington too!
Ann a passe-partout is used when you frame a photo. It comes between the photo and the glass and can be of very thick paper or thin cardboard and I used it here as a frame on my photos because I liked the effect it gives. The beige paper is cut out around the photos. I thought that passe-partout was used in English too, maybe not in American-English.
These are 2 of the new cards I made using the “envelop”freebie by CF a couple of days ago. It makes a great mask and I needed some new cards for upcoming birthdays etc. I always leave room to enter a special text for the recipient and I can replace the happy birthday with something else. There was a new freebie yesterday so I hope some of you have got that one. On the pink one I used it as is and the lilac one I adapted.
