Mary very nice and I happened to make a interstate sign with the same tutorial. I just have to fill in the number when I want to use it on a project.
F = Family Ghost that’s coming to haunt you
U = Universal
P = Pulse that is going skyhigh when seeing a ghost.
Monique a very beautiful calendar!!!
The letter T stands for “Trouwkerkje” which means a little church used for weddings. It is an old Protestant church from 1614 and since 1971 in use for weddings, exhibitions, concerts and polling station. It has an organ that was build in 1717 by Johannes Zeemans. The painted wallboard from 1643 has the creed written onto it.
Finally I’m able to show my first completed month for this calendar. It’s March because I already had the things I wanted to use for a cluster. The elements I made for the Traval Challenge of 2020 about my 1st trip to the States. The other months just have to get a fitting cluster or some embellishments.
Chris thank you, when I have time enough I probably will make another calendar with the boxes and this will save a lot of time! I’m not so interested in Halloween as it is not such a big thing thing over here so maybe I can do this.
D = Darkness
Lynda, That is more what I had in mind and maybe I would bring the opacity of the backgound photo a bit lower and make the photo a bit larger so it covers more of the page. But this is just what I would do and you are the designer of the calendar. Sorry for my late answer, but I have so much going on at the monent that I only check in here once a day to see what everybody is doing. I’m slowly starting to work a little bit on my calendar but I can only do one hour at the time and then I have to get up and walk a bit around otherwise my hip/leg is going stiff.
I’m loving all the different calendars!!! I’m not doing much at the moment qua scrapping. I just managed to put the photos I want to use inside the templates. I’m still very tired so it’s off to bed early for me, my brain just shutes down in the evenings. I know I have to be patient and so far it all goes to plan!
Lynda I see your problem with the cover. On both I find it a bit to busy; have you considered to use only 2 masks and put you chevy on the bottom right side of the layout and use one of the photos as a suttle background? Just another idea.
Yes Cindy, you are right and I’m back home now. Surgery went well but I will need some time for recovery; fysiotherapie is starting monday. I’m feeling okay but very tired because I wasn’t able to sleep last night in the clinic because there was so much light in the corridor, noises and not being able to find a comfortable position in bed. I had still an IV-line and I have a lot of medication for painkilling and I have to inject myself dailey for a month with some thing to prevent trombosis. So I thank everyone for their concern and good wishes. I have looked at all the wonderfull work that is done and I hope that I will get back to making my calendar, but it will progress slowly I suppose. For now I’m off to bed.
Dawn I am so glad it turned out okay for you and I hope you can keep up being here!
To give an impression of what my calendar is going to be like. In the introduction I said that it will be about my trip to the States and one copy will go to the parents in law of my daughter who have visited there too this year. I happen to have a font called USA Nation and I think it will be very fitting here. It’s a layered font so the blogpost on that topic comes in handy. When I have a background it will look better then on this gray. But for now that’s all, the coming days will be filled with other things. I do hope I will be back soon and in the mean time I’m going to follow what is going on here with all the creations for this calendar. As Carol would say: Have Fun.
Monique you can always change the order in which the templates are coming. The first one doesn’t have to be January!
Cristina thank you and yes it is comint thursday, so I don’t know how quickly I’m back at the computer. Maybe I’ll show something later today.
We had a rainy day, so I spend some time at the PC before I’m off for some days on surgery and recovery etc. I followed the sketch because I liked it and didn’t want to change it this time. I used the same photo 3 times, made the frames with a bevel and used a lot of papers from a kit by Marisa Lerin (The good life feb. 21). It was just a quick layout for today.
A = AEX it means Amsterdam Exchange Index and is related to the Dutch Stock Market.
Ann you beat me with the posting of this question! I just read the newsletter from today and thought oops that is a new idea to me. I, like you, have used the clone tool on photos, but that’s it! Everytime I have a question for the Q&A I can only say: yes that’s what I like to know too.

Y = Yuan Chinese currency
I’m working a bit up front so this is my letter S, but it is a temporary layout. The staionsquare is still under construction and it will not be completed this year either. Having a train connection has been rather important for the growth of the village and the little station building now has a coffee corner in stead of the ticket window. That function is taken over by a machine. The first station was build in 1854 and there have been periods when it was closed down. In 1965 it was reopened permanently.
W = Witwassen (Dutch) and it means money laundering
Pirkko, Harmony and Hank congrats and enjoy your prizes!
Susan that is an interesting question and I have wondered about it too once in a while. Then I forget about it, so I”ll be happy to learn more.
Susan I agree with you about the wealth of information in the older blogs. When time allows me I have been reading them and copying them to my PC for later use. That’s why I was able to quickly find many of the puzzle pieces. It was great fun to do!
Sue nice to see that you have not “forgotten” us here in the Campus. You may have only an old laptop with you without all your supplies but the result is as stunning as ever. I hope you love your stay at home and your kids and the grandkids. Have a really good time and we are looking forward to welcome you back with new wonderful photos.
C = Credit card
As I’m finished with the treasure hunt and its puzzle, I decided to play Bingo!
I choose: Colored Bricks – Felt Texture – Word Frame – Linoleum Pattern – Curved Photo
As a starting point I used a template from the Wise Words Challenge I once did, but I changed it somewhat. I made the bricks and felt texture in the circle; linoleum and word frame I have used often so that was easy to do and for the curved photo I used the Curved Photo script by Carole. The blue paper has a blinds texture and the font is Ministry of Moron. All the colors I used are taken from my photo, a autumn composition on a little table in my courtyard, which I took last year.
V = Vreneli the common name for the gold coins of the Swiss Franc
E-mail sent!!! It was such a joy to puzzle this way and I have done a lot of “normal” jigsaw puzzles in my life.
Well after a good night’s sleep I have found my missing piece and the puzzle is complete. Where are we suppoost to post the jpg version of it?
The last 2 years I made calendars following the Up-to-Date Challenge as it was called and last year I did 3 different ones which made great gifts. When I look at the preview this calendar will be quite different from those and I intend to make one with photos from my America trip. The parents-in-law of my daughter have also made their first visit there, so one copy is coming their way. I will not be able to follow all the tutorials that week because my operation is on the 22nd, but at least I’ll have something in stock to keep me occupied when I’m not able to do much. I’m looking forward to this and seeing all the different calendars.
