    G = Guinea.  It was a Gold Coin mintedin Great Britian from 1663 to 1814. The term survived as a ‘unit of account’ in professional fees and in the sale/purchase of Race Horses, Racing Greyhounds and Rams. The value of a Guinea is 21 shillings or £1.05
