Jannette, great job on the hibiscus layout!
LOL @ Michele!
R = Rumble In The Park…a small, local pickleball tourney.
I have so many sport layouts…
N = nasty nelson…in pickleball when the server delibertly hits the receiver’s partner. If this happens, the server receives a point. No one but the receiver can play the serve.
H = help defense
C = centerline
A = ATP = around the post. A pickleball shot that h=goes around the post holding the net…not over the net. This is a legal shot in pickleball.
X = XC Mountain Biking — off-road cycling races over rough terrain.
V = volleyball
R = rugby…one of the few sports I haven’t tried.
N = non-volley zone…another name for kitchen…see K above
K = kitchen…a pickleball term…an area 7 feet on each side of the net. You are not allowed to volley while in the kitchen. Volley = hitting the ball before it bounces.
H = halfback
E = eye-hand coordination
B = basketball
Voted. Are we allowed to vote more than once?
DIY Challenge in the Scrapbook Campus. One of our basketball players has dementia. She really struggled during this tournament. She made two requests to me. 1, she wanted the two of us to take a photo together. 2, she wanted a team photo at the sand sculpture. Both requests were fulfilled. The top two photos are actually 1 photo divided. The background paper was originally a pinky red…I put an orange layer above it and used the blend mode color (L).
We went to the games with 1 player with denentia; one needing a knee replacement and one player who had never played with us…battered, bruised and wounded. The player who had never played with us quit in the middle of the tournament and went home to play in a pickleball tournament. We played the medal round with just 4 players…in senior ball, we play 3 on 3…so one sub and she had dementia. A real challenge…the Senior Games motto is “Long live the challenge.”Corrie, love your template! Great job!
Y = Yippee! That’s what I say when I know we are getting together!
Left page…
Another double page layout. N = New York City. Left side…We left very early in the morning and took the train to NYC. Saw the sights and returned to VA via train very late that night. A full day.
The blue gradient background was created from colors of the sky the morning of 9-11. Created by Spencer Finch and titled “Trying to Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning.” The piece is comprised of 2,983 individual watercolor squares—each representing a victim of the 2001 and 1993 attacks.
This started as a background paper. I removed the middle, placed the photo below and extracted the medal. This sand sculpture was inside the Convention Center where we also play bball and pickleball.
Another National Senior Games basketball page. I used a photo of Making the rest of my life the best of my life, then inserted a photo of play.
2022…2021 postponed…National Senior Games. Women’s Basketball Silver medalist.
Template, Pixel Scrapper, Christine Aufty, Qucik and Easy Layout.Template from Lab 11-07. I selected it because I was looking for a multi-photo template. When I opened it in PSP I discovered it was designed for 1 photo. I decided to go with the design as intended. Now off to look for multi-photo templates.
Our latest PB tourney, Rumble In The Park 3. Template by Christine Aufty in the Commons at Pixel Scrapper. There were places for 14 photos…I added 2 more. Of course, I turned off the placeholders. It is a pretty busy page with just the photos and repeated title.
T = trust
R = respect
L = lifelong
I = interest
