J = jelly roll
H = honey
F = flour
B = batter
Y = yo-yo
I played yoyo a lot as a kid. The Duncan yoyo pro would tour our community once a year. Each Saturday morning for a month or so he would be at the local neighborhood Mom and Pop stores and conduct a yoyo contest for the kids. I thought it was wonderful when I won a candy bar! I even taught yoyo in my physical education classes. It’s a great way to teach physics and the kids think they are playing.
V = Victrola record player
R = Radio
Can’t believe it took me so long to think of this! I have one similar to the one in the picture. It stood in the hallway of my parents home and I inherited it.
P = pie safe
I remember one at my Grandmother’s…no fancy knobs. I have one with tin inserts from the late 1800’s.
I’m registered. Looking forward to learning something new.
Classes, workshops, social activities, see the sights. Local restaurants. It would be great to meet everyone!
Lunch Box…Lone Ranger Lunch Box…circa 1954
Electric butter churn. I actually have one of these…much dirtier…don’t know if it works. It was my uncle’s.
T = toilet
Thank you, Cristina!
R = roof
Thank you, Dawn and Royanne!
Royanne…great work with your Ken! I do enjoy doing such things. I am a retired teacher and teachers are said to be “licensed thieves”. I love seeing an idea somewhere and stealing it for a completely different purpose. I guess I will always be a “licensed thief”.
O = overhang
I posted this in another thread but I think it may be better suited for this thread. My pickleball group held a celebration for the new tennis/pickleball courts the city renovated for us this summer. Four of our number formed a small band and performed “The Pickleball Song” for us. The words on this page are from this song. We all love to play pickleball and we love to eat and visit just as much! Our group ranges in age from 18 to 80 and our membership is multicultural. We number more than 50 so not all are pictured. This is the template Carole gave us just recently.
M = mailbox
K = keyhole
H = home, hallway
F = foundation
E = eaves
Carole suggested we try to repeat the game without using words already used. I made it tougher by posting more than one word sometime. I apologize.

Y = yurt
