In all honesty , I did not copy the slogan on your signs for my page … Re: “Isn’t it fun to notice that you are using the same quote as Lynda in your engraving project?” …I do like the slogan thou

Carole and others …I have learned I need to work on the “Text on a Path” (reverse needs a 2nd layer)… and “Linking Layers” (using the Cut-Out tool thing)…Other than that, all went well…Planning Ahead was important I think. towards the end, my machine really started to slow down…BUT I’m never in a hurry …..lol

Carole and others …. I’m about ready to finish this off,….BUT I ran into some problems with the “Cut Out” thing. Like I have said before, I find it easier when there are pictures….I am not sure of the layer placement and I just end up getting flustered. In the BIG image I tried using TEXT for the cut out on the wood like frame. (Font size was 200 ..lol) and I doubt in retrospect that the  10 Horizontal and 10 Vertical offset is going to be noticed. ….I got the leather luggage tags re-stamped (LynDi 🙂 .. with the holes added ….(grins)….Assembly day tomorrow (Lord willing)…I see allota nice work being done. All for now.

Reply to Carole … Well Carole, I’m from Belleville Ontario and my trip was to BC back in the day (1978)…on a motorcycle (that I will include as a pic)…The next summer I went from Belleville to Newfoundland …In all honesty, it was more scenic and I had more fun but I was away from my GF at the time..:-( …I did all 10 provinces over the two summers.

Re: the Reverse Path for text,…I was 3 days working on another project in another class, and I was getting so frustrated and I was afraid of falling behind, so I submitted something “close”…I do like your idea of having the the 2 vector layers, but I still got in trouble when I went to merge. ( I noticed the tutorial was from 2012….maybe things have changed a bit…(?) …Thanks for you interest …All for now.

Day 6 Postcard …I was tempted to use a nice muted background for the postcard, but I have learned over time to just do what is asked of you and that way there will be no surprises in the end. Interesting learning more about the text > Leading ..Kerning and Tracking…I went a bit over the top with my choice of font ,…but hey …I like it ….lol

I learned a few things here making stamps…(When making the holes, Snap to guides is great)..I went a little overboard on the Inner bevel on the single stamp,….but I like it cause Ican see it…lol) . I hope some of you recognize this fella from a better time in life IMO

So many possibilities ….I’m lost without pictures when it comes to the tutorials..This is a “leather tag”I made up for the Calgary Stampede…I guess it should have a hole in it ….Eh?

Additional Day 3 using the template …I hope this is close to what I’m suppose to be doing.

Carole and Others …I’ve been adding each individual item by itself because things are changing daily depending on what needs to be added. I was going to reverse path for the text, but I was having problems, and rather than fall behind,….I went with the attached (for now)…

Carole and Others ..This was a trip I took “back in the day”..I have many pictures, but they are in print. It would take a long time to find them, then scan them to digital. ..I’m still wondering what tomorrow will bring…:-) , and I hope I’m on the right track.
